Reborn As An Interstellar Giant Mosquito

Chapter 1114: Chapter 45 Strengthening Strength! [First Update]

”Giggle, giggle, I’m so small, Mama is tricking me, I’m actually quite big. How can I be this small!” The little girl kept giggling endlessly.

”Silly girl, you’re still growing. Who knows, maybe one day you’ll be taller than Mama,” the Duchess said with a gentle smile.

”Duchess, we’ve detected the Giant Mosquito Fleet’s positioning signal ahead, we’re almost at their location!”

Just as the mother and daughter were talking, a fugitive soldier manning the spacecraft suddenly exclaimed with delight.

”Can you see them? So the Giant Mosquito Fleet is really here!” Findley said, standing up in surprise, as the little girl inside her arms curiously stared out the ship’s window into the dark void. ”Mama, are we going to see Sister Kama soon?”

A large fleet of spaceships was slowly moving, showing some battle-scarred traces on their hulls.

Among these spaceships, there were five or six battleships with signs of combat, some even showing extensive damage, shaking unsteadily in flight, almost on the brink of malfunction.

As the fleet approached a pitch-dark region of space, a beam of light suddenly appeared in that area.

Then, within what had been a dark void, vague shadows appeared fragment by fragment until these shadows magically transformed into a fleet of battleships!

This was a basic cloaking effect used in space combat.

Ahead of the less than a fifty spacecraft and battleship, an array of almost brand-new battleships materialized one by one, their numbers reaching about a thousand.

They covered the sky piece by piece.

”Mama, I’m scared!” The little girl aboard the spaceship cried out, scared by the huge scene unfolding.

”Don’t be afraid, this is where Linlin and Mama will call home in the future,” the woman whispered comfortingly to the little girl in her arms.

But which mother in the world would really bring her child into a fleet of battleships to call home? At this moment, what the woman was thinking about was when she could give her daughter a real home...

”Miss Findley, welcome to our ranks.”

As the ragtag fleet of spaceships and battleships moved toward the thousand-or-so strong fleet, a welcoming message reached them through the communication channel.

Thereafter, the fleet opposite formed a neat and meticulous arrangement, seemingly conducting a unique welcoming ceremony for the new arrivals.

”Thank you for your invitation, thank you,” Duchess Findley approached the communicator to express her gratitude to the people on the other end.

”Your courageous action of breaking through the siege at Dragon Bell Star is commendable. With your arrival, the fleet’s combat power will certainly be greatly enhanced. The restoration of the Country of Taia is now in sight, thank you!”

Suddenly, a voice of a young woman came through the channel, as refreshing as a spring breeze, making all the soldiers aboard the spaceships feel at ease. Moreover, this voice was familiar to them, and it was indeed because of this woman’s presence that they had joined this fleet!

Princess Kama!

”Kama! Is that you?” Duchess Findley trembled with excitement, caressing the screen.

”It is me, Auntie.” The delicate visage of Kama appeared on the communication screen.

The conversation between the two was recorded at that moment, with no one knowing if it might become a precious document for the future of Taia.

Today, the Giant Mosquito Fleet officially gained valuable combat power from Dragon Bell Star!

These soldiers, who should have long perished or lost all will to fight, braved dangers to seize battleships and spaceships and came to the Giant Mosquito Fleet’s location. At that moment, every soldier found their fighting spirit once more.

Although they arrived in less than thirty spacecraft and battleships, the old soldiers inside numbered over twenty thousand. These included not only the soldiers protesting outside the meeting hall but also those who had heard the news from abroad and those who had not participated in the protest. The sum of all these groups brought the soldier count to over twenty thousand!

Such numbers were definitely enough to give the Giant Mosquito Fleet a significant boost in strength.

And they were soldiers who didn’t need much training to get the hang of things; many had combat experience, with even more having graduated from official combat training classes, a lot more skilled than the original members of the Giant Mosquito Fleet.

”Lord, we lost our composure.”

It was only the following day within the Giant Mosquito Fleet that Jia Yan met Kama and her mother, Duchess Findley, again.

Because of this reunion, there were endless things to say, and time passed as they shared their experiences from the past three years, which meant Jia Yan didn’t immediately discuss matters with these new recruits.

Now was the formal meeting.

”It doesn’t matter.” Jia Yan nodded, still hunched over inside the Camp-Level Spaceship.

He felt little joy from the outside world; all he did was gain a better understanding of the combat power at his disposal.

”Lord, do you intend to attack the Country of Taia right away? I feel that our current power is still far too weak. I’ve heard that since the ruler of Taia gained control of the nation, they have been massively recruiting soldiers and expanding their strength. With our current capability, we might not be able to contend with them.” Duchess Findley, a combat expert, had Intermediate Starry Sky capability and was once the fleet’s Marshal, so she had an absolute grasp of the situation.

”We must attack; I don’t wish to waste time,” Jia Yan looked at her indifferently.

Her body chilled under his gaze as she recalled how this ’monster’ had killed beings of the same rank with the ease of chopping vegetables, and she momentarily felt suffocated.

However, Jia Yan clearly had no intention to harm her; she was a piece of combat power that he could still utilize.

Of course, for this newly acquainted being, Jia Yan did not offer any pleasant expression. He was such a being; only to the likes of Kama, whom he had known for longer, would he be slightly kinder.

”See, I told you the Lord would not agree,” Kama stood by, and seeing Jia Yan and her aunt’s disagreeable expressions, she quickly stepped forward to mediate.

Her relationship with Jia Yan was growing stronger, and she had forgotten his true nature; only now did she remember that Jia Yan had always behaved this way toward other creatures and found herself in the role of peacemaker.

”Alright, Lord, if you want to attack, let me present some data to you, and let’s see what our chances of victory really are!”

Duchess Findley would love nothing more than to quickly take back their nation, but now she had to consider this fight from a Commander’s perspective.

”Our combat power consists of over a thousand battleships, and we’re under extreme logistical pressure. As far as I know, some Giant Mosquito battleships can’t even find replacement parts anymore. If we enter large-scale warfare, not only is our battleship number far less than the enemy, just based on logistics alone, we’re doomed to fail.”

Duchess Findley listed out the Giant Mosquito Fleet’s disadvantages in detail. Although she had been very enthusiastic initially, only after understanding this notorious fleet did she realize its poor command of warfare beneath the seemingly glorious façade.

Under normal circumstances, had this fleet consisted of mere star thieves or a small-scale force, the situation wouldn’t have been critical. But aiming to engage in large-scale war, the fleet’s logistics and maintenance held the certainty of defeat.

”Our disadvantage also lies in the fleet numbers. From current intelligence, Taia has three fleets with approximately seven thousand plus battleships. They also have the resources of an entire starry sky, including their home planet and manpower logistics thousands of times our own.”

”In contrast, the Giant Mosquito Fleet numbers over a thousand with no Reserves, no headquarters, no maintenance facilities. We don’t even have the means to sustain such a vast population’s food supply for an extended period. To be frank, no one can win this kind of war.”

”With such a massive disadvantage, the war you wish to wage is only a swift one, and it’s simply not possible.”

Seemingly, Duchess Findley didn’t notice Jia Yan’s progressively darker expression. Fortunately, what followed was somewhat more agreeable.

”Of course, your naive thoughts and those of Kama are not without basis, and they’re the very reasons for the Giant Mosquito Fleet’s dominance thus far, the true source of our immense expectations for it.”

”The first point is your own combat power. I dare not assert whether you can indeed defeat a Lord Level being, but handling several High-tier star-level beings of the same rank is something I’ve witnessed with my own eyes. To the best of my knowledge, Taia only possesses some High-tier star-level beings. Even if they sought help, it would be difficult to find a Lord Level being to intervene, and even less likely that one would confront someone like you, who’s known to have killed Lord Level beings. Every sacred level being would pause to consider. This is our first advantage: an advantage in top-tier combat power.”

”The second advantage is Kama’s ’Overwhelming Tactics’. To be honest, I trusted her to deploy the ’Overwhelming Tactics’ three years ago, which might have been overly optimistic. I’ve been regretting that belief ever since because my trust cost many Taia soldiers their lives. But three years later, Kama indeed mastered the ’Overwhelming Tactics’. Besides you, The Strongest, this is possibly another immense advantage. Perhaps, even more useful than your presence!”

Looking at Jia Yan, who didn’t seem to get angry at this, Duchess Findley continued, ”The ’Overwhelming Tactics’ is a strategy that allows us to defeat many with few, without paying a significant price. As long as we use this tactic, we can continue to win; in theory, even against a fleet of ten thousand battleships, we’re unlikely to lose. But this strategy has a significant weakness!”

”Oh? What is the weakness?” Hearing her say so, Jia Yan showed a trace of surprise. Duchess Findley was truly deserving of being a former country’s Marshal. He used to think Kama was the top commander, but seeing Duchess Findley now, he realized what a true top commander looks like.

Of course, Kama was just too young and inexperienced; with more years and mastering the ’Overwhelming Tactics’, she was sure to surpass Duchess Findley.
