Reborn As An Interstellar Giant Mosquito

Chapter 1113: Chapter 44 Return [Two Updates Complete]

”Ugh, I rushed the last Chapter update; the Chapter name should have been ’Secondary Powerhouse.’ Sorry about that.”

!!

”So is this monster one of them?”

Jia Yan asked with some surprise and uncertainty.

”Yes, and Secondary Powerhouses have a significant advantage. That is because their previous attempt to advance didn’t touch the true Stellar Threshold. Unlike real Semi-permanent Star Level Experts, whose chances of pushing towards the Stellar Level have greatly diminished, the success rate for Secondary Powerhouses is even greater than that of normal Lords. Some Starfields even deliberately create artificial Secondary Powerhouses just to increase the chance of the emergence of Stellar Level Experts.”

”So the monster we’re chasing this time is that terrible... isn’t it at the Semi-permanent Star Level?” Jia Yan looked solemnly in the direction of Dragon Bell Star, which had now become a distant, massive sphere in his sight.

He vaguely felt that the appearance of the other party wasn’t simply to capture him for the benefit of his power.

Regardless, this time he had escaped their capture. As for when he might face them again, he did not know.

”Hmph, my strength is growing day by day. Next time we meet, it’s not certain who will win or lose!”

After all, it was only at the Respect Level. Jia Yan thought about the beginnings of his own rising strength. He felt greater confidence in the face of this monster’s threat.

His body suddenly moved in the starry sky, flying rapidly towards the area where the Giant Mosquito Fleet was located.

The series of previous space traversals had been an almost unbearable strain for Jia Yan. Now, his flying speed had slowed down considerably. Knowing how abundant Jia Yan’s stamina was, his current fatigue indicated the extent to which the escape had been a desperate move.

Days passed in the blink of an eye.

”Lord is back.”

In the command ship of the Giant Mosquito Fleet, a Kutitan Tribe Soldier shouted loudly.

After that, the whole fleet buzzed into activity. It was only now that the entire fleet realized that Jia Yan’s previous departure was to venture alone to Dragon Bell Star.

They had seen media reports, although the live broadcast was interrupted. However, the subsequent reports said that the real presence of the Giant Mosquito Fleet, as if to punish an impostor, directly killed the fake Jia Yan and Sister Karma, causing a significant number of deaths among the strong on Dragon Bell Star. The exact number of casualties and the names of the Experts were not disclosed in the report—after all, those were each power’s secret. But rest assured, the number and level of Experts’ deaths were not low.

Now the entire Giant Mosquito Fleet really sighed. They had thought that with the increase in the fleet’s size, Lord Jia Yan would rely on them more, but they did not anticipate that Lord’s strength was still soaring. He was now capable of causing significant events alone on a planet full of strong ones.

”We must apologize properly when Lord returns. It’s a pity that such a huge fleet couldn’t help the Lord, alas!” Mo Ke stood next to Sister Karma, sighing with a meaningful tone.

Although he had accepted Sister Karma, his desire to suppress her had not disappeared.

”Hmph.” Karma gave him a glare.

Sure enough, Jia Yan emerged from the starry sky, floating before the eyes of the fleet.

His strength had reached the level where he could stay in the starry sky for a long time. After all, Starry Sky Level Experts, once their strength reached sufficient depth, could remain in the starry sky. Since Jia Yan’s strength was stronger than that of the average Starry Sky Level, his abilities to traverse the starry sky were much superior.

The monster’s body was dark in color, nearly blending into the background of space. If not for the distinct energy fluctuations detectable on the Expert radar, perhaps no one would have noticed his return. As a being of the Giant Mosquito Fleet, every creature was all too familiar with the physique of their powerful Leader, as familiar as they were with their own bodies. Each member had their distinct perception of Jia Yan’s appearance.

The one commonality was their near-worship of Big Mosquito, who had protected the entire fleet with his personal strength on several occasions.

”Lord! Welcome back victorious!” one being after another shouted in unison, cheering from the welcome bridge.

The cheers of his subordinates also lifted the spirits of Jia Yan, who had just returned from a long and lonely journey through the universe.

”Lord.”

As soon as Jia Yan set foot on the ground, Sister Karma approached.

”You must be exhausted.”

Jia Yan smiled. He wasn’t working this hard purely for the sake of the other party’s nation; he had his own plans, and clearly, Kama understood this as well. Still, one could genuinely perceive Kama’s sincere gratitude for Jia Yan’s deeds from her demeanor.

”Well then, because of my arrival, the fugitive soldiers of Taia might suffer numerous casualties. Just don’t blame me later,” Jia Yan shook his head and said.

”That won’t happen, I have notified some powers that support me, and they will create some pressure. Dragon Bell Star isn’t completely under the domain of the Tian Wu branch of Taia, so they won’t act recklessly. The soldiers who can traverse space to get here will probably be fewer, but overall, it should turn out much better than what I had anticipated,” Kama revealed her arrangements.

In the starfield near Taia, Kama’s old friends—or rather, her previous alliances—were still in place. Their offer of a helping hand at this moment was a tremendous aid to the Giant Mosquito Fleet.

”Alright, then let’s proceed as you wish. I hope we’ll soon have a large group of soldiers ready to march directly onto the battlefield,” Jia Yan nodded.

The action undertaken by the Giant Mosquito Fleet this time could be described as a tremendous victory. No one had anticipated that the leader of the Giant Mosquito Fleet, Jia Yan himself, would be so audacious, conceiving a risky solo plan to strike directly at Dragon Bell Star. He not only exposed the impostor’s tricks but also shocked some petty forces. Could someone with equal power really take on five at once?

Although among those five adversaries, two had escaped, it was clearly intentional on Jia Yan’s part. The goal was to add two factions to those opposing Jia Yan that would not be so readily confronted.

After all, while the stakes of Taia were considerable, the real gains that could be secured were nowhere near as significant as the life of a High-space Level existence. If one wanted to make a move on the Giant Mosquito Fleet, then they had to be prepared to sacrifice Starry Sky Level experts.

Jia Yan’s power had indeed instilled fear in some factions. However, for those with Lord Level beings, it wasn’t so simple to be intimidated.

Among these factions, one tends to feel rage, especially in those where their Strong Ones had been killed by Jia Yan. The situation had evolved to the point where Taia’s interests were now secondary. The direct killing of their Strong Ones by the opponent had become a source of ridicule from other factions. If they could not kill Jia Yan, there would be no place left to save face.

”Hmph! Our faction’s Fly clan existence was merely passing by and lent a hand. And yet, Jia Yan dared to kill him? Does he think he is some invincible existence among real High-level Experts? Well, let him taste the flavor of defeat then!”

”Jia Yan, is it? He had the gall to oppose our faction’s power with just a fleet of a thousand ships? Hehe, it seems we’ve been too peaceful for too long. Does the entire Northern Star Domain think our power is like a rat that anyone can manipulate?”

”Grind Jia Yan’s body into ten thousand pieces; otherwise, our reputation will be worthless!”

Several powers were no longer indifferent in the face of the current situation. The killing of their Strong Ones was a massive blow to any faction, and this was the case in the Northern Star Domain. If a defiant existence emerged and was not retaliated against, it was an irreparable blow to the faction’s reputation. In the Northern Star Domain, the rise and fall of powers happened quickly. Apart from a few mega-powers that spanned several major starfields, such as mercenary organizations, others could not afford to ignore this.

And these powers, all under the pretext of maintaining Taia’s stability, began to mobilize their forces...

...

Among the starry sky.

Inside a small spaceship, several towering figures were seated, along with a little girl.

The small girl quietly lay in her mother’s arms, too young to understand she had been separated from her friends, feeling somewhat scared in this unfamiliar setting.

Within this tiny spaceship sat several Bella clansmen, dressed in ragged clothes, both men and women.

”Mommy, are we there yet?” she suddenly asked softly.

”We’re almost there, sweetie. Don’t cry,” replied the female, who seemingly held a high position on the spaceship. The Kutitan Tribe soldiers around her showed respect when they looked at her.

Because she was the woman who had emerged during the last battle and shouted commands that changed the course of the fight—none other than Jia Yan’s Lord. Her name was well-known among all the fugitive soldiers.

She was the only Duchess of Taia before its downfall, and she was the most powerful woman in the entire Country of Taia—Duchess Findley!

Without her, the last battle might have resulted in severe casualties for the protest squad of soldiers. Moreover, had she not set up several blockade devices, perhaps even Jia Yan of the Giant Mosquito Fleet would not have shown up, leading to an unpredictable outcome for the whole army of fugitive soldiers.

”Mommy, you said we’re going to meet Sister Karma, right? But I can’t remember who Sister Karma is,” inquired the little girl, her large eyes wide open.

”Silly goose, you were only this big when Sister Karma held you,” Findley gestured with her hand, showing a small size, ”How could you possibly remember?”
