Reborn As An Interstellar Giant Mosquito

Chapter 1128: Chapter 9 Prepare to Teleport! [First Update]

Jia Yan shook his head helplessly, but he didn’t dwell on it for too long. When some things come to be, there’s nothing to do but meet force with force and respond as each situation demands. All he needed was to become a Dignitary as soon as possible; perhaps by then, he would at least have the power to flee.

”Alright, it probably won’t come so soon. Now, what I need to focus on is the matter of the Avatar!”

Jia Yan cast aside his other musings and then turned his gaze to his proudly standing Avatar in the emptiness of space. Next on the agenda was the progress at the Space Research Institute—with success there, Jia Yan might indeed have the chance to return to his longed-for homeland through another means!

Time passed quickly, and the rumors about the absolute might of Jia Yan, the existence that comprised the Giant Mosquito Fleet, spread like wildfire throughout the Starfield. It was said that within the Taia Country’s stronghold, he had defeated an invader of Lord Level.

In the past, Jia Yan had already killed a Lord Level adversary under the public’s eye. Although most forces believed he’d used unique techniques, the rumors this time silenced them one by one.

Because, according to the rumors, the being Jia Yan had defeated was not just any Dignitary but a Secondary Powerhouse! There were plenty of scouts from various forces on Burning Star, and although no one believed what they said, assuming these scouts had simply mistaken a Dignitary for a Secondary Powerhouse due to their lower status, it didn’t hinder Jia Yan’s demonstration of strength!

After this battle, no one would doubt Jia Yan’s status as a High-level Expert. The invading adversary was at least a Secondary Powerhouse, and after hearing eyewitness descriptions of this adversary, some forces were left speechless, recognizing his true identity not as any Dignitary but indeed a Secondary Powerhouse.

Of course, the Giant Mosquito Fleet let out a smokescreen suggesting the invader was a Dignitary, adding a shade of doubt to the puzzle for various forces.

This was exactly what Jia Yan had wanted.

The reconstruction work on Burning Star was proceeding enthusiastically.

Thanks to Jia Yan’s protection during the great battle, despite extreme devastation to buildings and terrain, there weren’t many deaths—most were merely injured.

At this moment, the entire Burning Star was bustling with motivated labor. Now that Jia Yan’s power had been confirmed, there was little doubt about the Giant Mosquito Fleet’s ability to defeat Taia. With the help of such a fearsome powerhouse, it would be abnormal for the Giant Mosquito Fleet not to win.

Meanwhile, Jia Yan ventured to a region untouched by the great battle.

This was the Space Research Institute!

”Lord, we’ve measured the size data of your Avatar, and we’re now urgently adjusting the related spatial values. Please rest assured, our machinery will be tuned accurately on time,” a female researcher from the Space Research Institute assured him confidently.

Standing beside her was not the large-headed Jia Yan but a being even smaller than most Bella clan members present.

He had black hair and a calm complexion. Although physically smaller compared to the Bella on one side, his aura vastly surpassed all those present.

That was, of course, Jia Yan’s Avatar. At that moment, his real body was beneath a volcanic area on Burning Star, seeking an Opportunity to break through to the sacred level. Since there wasn’t much difference between the Avatar and the true body, and even the Avatar’s combat power could resist a Dignitary for a good while, his appearance was as significant as that of the Giant Mosquito’s True Body.

”Very well, I’ll leave it to you,” Jia Yan said, leaving with a sense of anticipation.

He was still getting used to his human form; he understood now that he wholly possessed a human body again, although it was one that required energy replenishment from his real body. Yet, this was enough to fill Jia Yan with utter delight.

However, having been a Giant Mosquito for so long, he initially had some trouble controlling the Avatar when he first obtained it. It took another five or six days before he got the hang of it somewhat.

A diminutive figure shot up into the sky.

”Lord Jia Yan’s Avatar is really unlike us; even though smaller, that imposing demeanor... just one look from him and I could hardly bear it,” a young male Bella clan researcher wiped sweat from his forehead, speaking with a hint of awe.

”That’s only because the Lord wasn’t even targeting you. Do you not know that the enemy the Lord truly defeated before was a Secondary Powerhouse? Being a top existence of our Northern Star Domain, even just his Avatar—a true representation of himself—could slay you with a glance if he wished,” another researcher said mockingly.

”The Lord defeated a Secondary Powerhouse? I truly didn’t know that; tell me more,” the young man who had spoken earlier asked in utter astonishment, clearly uninformed about this secret.

”Enough, don’t delay your work. We can chat freely about Lord Jia Yan’s affairs after hours; this isn’t the time for gossip!” the female head of the Space Research Institute scolded the few young men speaking.

Seeing her speak up, the researchers hurried to get back to work.

Time passed quickly again, and during this period, Jia Yan had always acted through his avatar. Although controlling two bodies was not easy, by now, he had acclimated to the overall sensation. His real body could practice Cultivation in areas that were not too difficult, without affecting the actions of the avatar. Of course, he couldn’t continue using the avatar during critical moments, as the impact was just too significant.

”This will do for the progress of the battle...” One day, Jia Yan was handling affairs in an exceedingly tall building with his avatar.

Originally, the entrance of his real body would have made the three-hundred-meter-long and wide hall seem cramped, but with his avatar, it was almost like an extra-large space. In front of the large table in the center, a pile of documents was laid out, and he was doing his best to handle them.

After all, the Giant Mosquito Fleet was still Jia Yan’s fleet, and there were always some documents that required his attention.

Just as Jia Yan finished signing a document and was about to heave a sigh of relief, his communicator rang.

”Hmm? The complete testing of the space teleportation device is finished?”

Upon hearing this news, Jia Yan’s avatar immediately stood up. At the same time, a flash of excitement sparkled in his eyes.

The completion of the ultra-long-distance teleportation device meant that, whether the teleportation was successful or not, he was about to take a real step closer to his homeland!

He could no longer sit still. He promptly put down the work in his hands. The rest of the tasks could only be done by his real body; the time for his avatar to show its face in this star domain had come to an end!

He was about to fly toward the distant star domains!

Not long after, at the Space Research Institute, two figures—one large and one small—were slowly flying in.

Compared to the massive True Body of the Giant Mosquito, Jia Yan’s avatar, standing at only one meter seventy-five, was less eye-catching. However, the energy fluctuations flickering on the surface of his body were still incredibly strong, so much so that a single glance could potentially shock a heavenly existence to death with Brainwave Power.

At this moment, however, Jia Yan did not display too much of his power, for the researchers below were all beings he needed to thank. As Jia Yan’s real body and avatar slowly approached, he looked down at the enormous, unparalleled structure below with a somewhat excited expression.

”Lord really has immense expectations for this ultra-long-distance teleportation.”

The researchers below could feel all the more strongly that Jia Yan placed an extraordinary value on this teleportation.

”Lord, we have not betrayed your trust; this is our final result,” said the female leader, who had stepped forward and was now on the ground looking at the incoming real body and avatar of Jia Yan.

”Good, you have all done very well. Should this attempt be successful, all of you will be rewarded,” Avatar Jia Yan praised the hardworking researchers proficiently.

Everyone noticed that since Jia Yan had obtained this avatar similar to the Bella clan, he seldom used his real body for communication, seemingly preferring the company of his avatar. Of course, no one knew what Jia Yan’s purpose for this was, just as they didn’t understand why he wanted to send his avatar thousands of kilometers away. They had no idea what was out there.

Some even speculated whether Jia Yan was from that distant place, but no one believed this conjecture could be true. Stories about civilizations reaching such vast distances had never been heard of, nor had any tales come forth, let alone knowing whether life existed there.

Fortunately, they didn’t need to think too much about it; all they had to do was complete the tasks Jia Yan had arranged.

Once on the ground, the real body of the Big Mosquito followed behind in silence, while Jia Yan, in the form of a humanoid avatar, stepped forward to engage in a conversation with several leaders of the institute.

”Lord, according to our data, the next two days will be the best time for transmission. Despite the vacuum in space, it is relatively calm, but crossing such a massive span requires rare environmental conditions. In the last few days, our monitored data shows that it’s the most suitable time for teleportation!”

The researchers never wasted words, and the female leader, who spoke very briefly, eagerly said to the avatar.

”Oh? If you guarantee there has been no oversight, then we can launch even now,” Jia Yan’s avatar expressed a hint of contemplation.

Whether sooner or later, the departure was inevitable. If there was a chance now, then he might as well seize it. Jia Yan no longer wanted to stay in the Northern Star Domain, not even for a minute.

Even if only an avatar returned, it was essentially no different from the return of his real body.

At this moment, Jia Yan was somewhat excited.

”Very well, Lord. If you are willing to teleport now, we will gather the necessary data and start the preparations. I’m confident that there will be no errors,” the female leader said with a resolute expression.

They had already conducted several unmanned teleportation tests, from close range to far, and each time, the signals showed no errors at all.
