Reborn As An Interstellar Giant Mosquito

Chapter 1134: Chapter 15 Recruiting Test [1st Update]

”Everyone here desires to serve the most powerful family on this planet, a member of the Jia family. At this moment, we have only one requirement, and that’s loyalty. Tell me, can you be loyal in the future?!”

In a hidden location, a tall and imposing figure was questioning a group of over fifty people.

”Yes!” The voice of Jia Yan’s avatar rang out loudly.

The people around him looked at Jia Yan curiously, but the robust man in charge nodded in satisfaction, ”Very well, it seems that some of you clearly understand why you’re here.”

As he spoke, his expression turned serious, and then his demeanor revealed an extremely invigorating look.

”All of you were recruited from various secret locations. Each of you is the elite of the elite. As for your identities, I don’t care which country’s elite you were or whatever heights you had reached before. Here, your ultimate goal is to ensure the safety of the people from Jia’s family. Even if necessary, to stand in front of bullets with your own lives. Do you understand?”

”Understood.” Once again, Jia Yan was the first to shout out.

However, at this moment, he caught the attention of the man above. Pointing at Jia Yan’s avatar, the man said with some curiosity, ”You, come out.”

Jia Yan stepped forward, appearing in front of everyone for the first time since his return to Earth, his face covered with a peculiar mask.

”Why are you wearing a mask?” the robust man asked curiously.

”Because I was injured during a previous mission,” Jia Yan replied without any hint of panic.

”Take it off let’s see,” the robust man said, frowning.

Jia Yan shrugged but obediently removed his mask.

Underneath the mask were indeed scars. Jia Yan wanted to infiltrate this group without drawing attention by resembling the former ’Jia Yan.’

As for the scars on his face under the mask, it was quite simple for Jia Yan to disguise his avatar in this way.

Coincidentally, this Defense Team was also part of a large recruitment. Half a day ago, Jia Yan, wanting to infiltrate the Jia family, had also heard many humans within a few dozen kilometers talking about this recruitment.

The Jia family was a hidden family, yet it certainly existed. This time, although many people did not know the specific recruitment details, some rumors had leaked out, and many ordinary city residents understood that the Jia family was recruiting in secret.

This recruitment had peculiar rules; anyone with a recruitment qualification letter issued by some powers, regardless of identity, was only required for their strength.

The Jin family naturally had this strength and confidence, and Jia Yan knew that this was the Mr. Security Officer, who was responsible for siring his child, using this as the last screening method behind the scenes. With this strong individual, the strongest Earth people had only Heavenly Level Power, and under his methods, there was virtually no possibility of lying.

No one would delve into the past if it was beneficial to the Jia family. Jia Yan saw this opportunity and subsequently stole the recruitment qualification letter from a poor man.

”Hmm, indeed you’ve been injured and are at the Earth Level Mid-term. It seems your strength is sufficient. Not bad.” The robust man added Jia Yan’s alias... ’Mo Ke’ to the key observation list.

You see, when Jia Yan first released the Brainwave Power Cultivation skills on Earth, those who began cultivating were a decade ago. Being able to advance to the Earth Level Mid-term in ten years, under nearly no guidance from predecessors, could be considered a genius.

Jia Yan was called back into the group, and the robust man naturally wouldn’t bother himself with Jia Yan’s loyalty. In the future, he knew that Inside Jia family, there would be truly fearsome beings conducting lie detection on all individuals here.

”All right, you all come from various powers across the whole Earth and are geniuses of these powers. But at the Jia family, you will understand what real geniuses are like and what real Strong Ones are like. Some of you want to meet the powerful high-ranking officials of the Earth Fleet and receive their guidance. Here you’ll have your chance, but you need to pass the Jia family’s tests. There are over fifty of you here, but only forty will actually enter the Jia family. At least ten will be eliminated. I understand you’ve already gone through several tests and contests to get here, but the contests and tests here will be even harder, and there may even be a risk of death. If anyone wants to leave before we begin, you can stand up now, and we won’t make it difficult for you.”

The robust man made that statement, and after waiting for a long time without anyone standing up.

What a joke, this group of over fifty people had really been through five levels and six generals to barely make it here. Some of them even risked their lives for this chance. Who knows among these fifty people, how many lives were behind them to reach this final test location, so at this moment, who would want to leave?

”Very well, let’s proceed with the test.” The burly man clearly knew this would be the outcome, and after a faint smile, he stepped aside.

Behind him was a massive technological device, incredibly large, appearing to be about two or three stories tall.

”This is the latest strength testing device developed by the Earth Fleet’s scientific researchers. Its function is to measure your true brainwave power, after all, there are huge differences in energy even between individuals at Earth Level Mid-term. Go ahead and see what your true strength is.”

One by one, the Defense Team’s reserve members stepped forward, and then the device roared into action.

”This rudimentary device, it seems the beings from Earth Fleet really haven’t grown much in ten years.” Jia Yan glanced at the huge device, constructed just to test brainwave strength power—it was embarrassingly massive. He felt that the scientific enthusiasts he brought back were somewhat inadequate.

What he didn’t know was that having visited the more flourishing Northern Star Domain and other places, Jia Yan of course found the machinery primitive. But in the Orion Arm, that was indeed the standard, and the researchers he brought were indeed just enthusiasts. Plus, their main focus was on weapon development, so being able to develop this kind of testing device was already an impressive result.

The first tester entered, and shortly after, the machine roared dramatically, with flashing lights.

Moments later, the staff member walked out with somewhat exaggerated steps. On the primitive scale, the dial pointed to the Earth Level Mid-term 2.

The Earth Level has three stages, and within these stages, the test machine further divided them into ten grades each: beginner, middle, and advanced ten levels. Of course, Jia Yan observed that none of the reserve members present reached the advanced stage; they were all squarely at the middle level with a few at the beginner stage.

His own output was also at the middle stage, but he estimated that if he were to go in, the pointer would reach grade 9 of the middle stage value.

The first tester only reached middle phase level 2, and the burly man nodded without any surprise. Although also at Earth Level Mid-term, their combat power could not be strong; they were merely cannon fodder within the middle stage.

The succeeding reserve members went up one by one, all exerting their full strength, desperately emitting their brainwave power, but none reached above level 8.

Then, a man with a scar on his face stepped forward, and his strength somewhat surprised the burly man.

”9? Looks like there’s a promising candidate in this batch of recruits. With guidance from some of the Lords inside Jia’s family, he might become an advanced stage presence in the short term.” The burly man nodded satisfactorily.

Of course, he wasn’t apprehensive, since he himself was an advanced stage presence, considered among the strongest in today’s Earth people.

”It’s your turn, I hope your scale won’t disappoint,” said the man as the scar-faced individual stepped down, and Jia Yan stepped forward. The burly man, impressed with him, encouraged Jia Yan directly.

”Hehe, I’ll take your good words,” Jia Yan replied, without a trace of respect, only a smile.

Watching him enter the device casually, the strong man behind him shook his head strangely, feeling somewhat unable to see through this masked man.

But under the machine, the opponent’s strength and background would be completely uncovered, exposed without any concealment.

The machine started to roar!

Inside the machine, Jia Yan observed his surroundings, noticing rays seemingly emanating from the machine.

”So it uses radiation to determine strength, really primitive. And it’s not great for the tester’s body either, but it’s just a momentary thing, shouldn’t have too much impact on the future,” Jia Yan shook his head helplessly.

He thought for a moment, then controlled his emitted brainwave power to just above the level 9 of the middle stage—slightly higher than the previous individual, and just a bit shy of reaching Earth Level advanced stage...

”Level 9?! Still just a little short of advanced stage, absolutely a good seedling! Achieving this level on his own in the outside world, if he were taught by those within Jia family, maybe he could become an Earth Level advanced stage presence in the future!” The strong man, seeing Jia Yan’s performance, almost had his eyes bulging out; his own strength was only Earth Level Advanced Stage 2. Despite this strength difference and his confidence in easily defeating an avatar like Jia Yan’s, the other’s talent was undeniable. Perhaps it wouldn’t be long before he would be on par under the guidance of strong mentors!

When Jia Yan exited the machine, the burly man’s demeanor toward Jia Yan improved even further.

After all, everyone’s training time wouldn’t differ too much, because the Giant Mosquito race had released the method of Brainwave Power Cultivation just a few years ago, and this man had reached Earth Level advanced stage strength partly because he had been appointed as Deputy Captain of the Defense Team and had been advised a few times within the Jia Family.

This man, named ’Mo Ke,’ if he joined the Jia Family, even if he couldn’t catch up to him in the future, wouldn’t be far off!
