Reborn As An Interstellar Giant Mosquito

Chapter 1115: Chapter 46 Life... [Two Updates Complete]

”The real drawback of Pi over Yu Tactics is...” Findley took a deep breath and then said...

”It lies in the fleet members’ identification with the fleet!” she declared.

”Identification?” Jia Yan, puzzled, asked somewhat strangely.

”Exactly. Originally, the advantage of this tactic was the formation of a united spirit, even though most of the work is carried out by the Commander alone. However, the subdivided tasks still need to be undertaken by subordinates. If there is no unified concept, then the tactics will definitely fail.”

There was an odd glint in Findley’s eyes as she looked at Jia Yan, seemingly pointing out something as she asked, ”Lord Jia Yan, forgive my bluntness, but what exactly do you want? Do you want my Taiya warriors to become soldiers of the Giant Mosquito Fleet, or do you want your Giant Mosquito Fleet to become part of my Taiya National Fleet?”

So that was what she was getting at!

Jia Yan sighed slightly inwardly. He did not know if what Findley said was true, nor whether Pi over Yu Tactics truly had this drawback. Regardless, he understood that he had to face this issue, whether the drawback existed or not.

Since a large number of Taiya warriors had been recruited, and the attack on the Country of Taia had been conducted under Princess Kama’s name, advancing under the banner of the Giant Mosquito Fleet was untenable.

The Giant Mosquito Fleet was merely an outsider fleet. To attack a country within the Northern Star Domain under this fleet’s name, whether in the name of a deposed princess or not, would not sound right. Not to mention the Taiya warriors in this fleet, who would surely suspect Jia Yan of having ulterior motives.

Jia Yan thought for a moment.

He wanted to enter the Country of Taia, not to rule it, but his path was embellished with only auxiliary powers. For Jia Yan, besides finding a way home, his other bigger dream was to become a true Strong One!

Thus, where the power lay wasn’t an issue, as Jia Yan didn’t really have any grand aspirations for it.

But before Jia Yan could say anything, Kama, standing beside Findley, finally couldn’t help but speak up.

”Marshal Findley! I had already discussed this with Lord Jia Yan. His fleet is temporarily employed by me, and henceforth, this fleet is the royal fleet of my family, although it can disband at any time. Right now, we are still comrades, so please do not make inappropriate comments!”

Her gaze met Findley’s unyieldingly. Despite her formidable height, she barely reached the chin of Findley, a Mid-Starry Sky Period Existence, yet she seemed undaunted as she confronted her.

Findley appeared not to have seen such a demeanor from Kama before and stared at her in surprise for a long while.

Jia Yan stayed silent, watching what seemed to be an argument brewing between the aunt and niece.

”Alright, I understand. Then let the Giant Mosquito Fleet become the specially appointed royal fleet of my Taiya Nation. We can announce it like this to the public, and it would make sense,” Findley said somewhat helplessly, shaking her head and sighing deeply.

She had intended to seek some special privileges from Jia Yan, but seeing her own niece oppose her, she no longer pursued it. Initially, she hadn’t wanted to get involved in this retaliation war against Taia, but she entered the fray following Kama’s appearance and now seemed to trust Kama’s judgment.

”Thank you,” Kama said to Findley, genuinely grateful.

What could have been an internal conflict was thus resolved. Jia Yan wasn’t too upset—after all, it was normal. On the contrary, clarifying this inevitable future divergence in advance was actually beneficial for the future.

The tasks ahead were now easier to manage. If there was a disadvantage, it would be changed. Issues in logistics were not insurmountable; the real problem was not identifying the issues. With real problems identified, solutions could follow.

With the true guidance of Marshal Findley, the entire fleet entered a phase of rapid progress.

The original Giant Mosquito Fleet, lacking in some formal regulations, saw improvements not just in rules but also in stricter regulations of policies and laws under Findley’s command. It was evident that the efficiency of the entire fleet had greatly improved.

”Lord, according to your ideas, we have envisaged various war scenarios and summarized the battle conditions. We feel that officially declaring war in three days is the best choice.”

After a simple training period of one and a half months, during which the Giant Mosquito Fleet integrated more personnel, Findley and Kama approached Jia Yan again.

”In three days, you say? What’s the reason?” Jia Yan asked, puzzled.

It was clear they had been resistant to initiating war too soon, while he wanted to start the war quickly to explore Taia’s research products and see if they could yield any useful results.

But unexpectedly, these two were suddenly proposing to declare war in three days?

”Exactly. The intelligence agency I left on Dragon Bell Star indicates that the false emperor of Taia has been massively purchasing weapons and equipment. A large fleet is due to be transported to Taia, which we could intercept during the declaration of war, under the banner of reducing their...

”Oh, is this the reason our enemies fabricated for us, without using guns or artillery?” Jia Yan nodded, but the two people in front of him clearly did not understand.

He could not disagree with their reasons for declaring war, because he did not understand war himself, and he wanted to commence battle as soon as possible, after all, his time was running short.

He didn’t wait three days, the entire Giant Mosquito Fleet was activated.

During this period, Jia Yan and the senior executives had another round of discussions and finalized some speeches for declaring war. Particularly Findley, who contacted some media through special channels, would announce the Giant Mosquito Fleet’s declaration of war on the third day.

In the meantime, Jia Yan simply checked on the progress and had nothing to manage himself.

Lying prostrate on the floor of the Camp-Level Spaceship, Jia Yan sensed the hustle and bustle outside, feeling some turbulence in his heart.

To be honest, the formation of this fleet didn’t matter much to him, which was the real reason why he hadn’t gotten the hang of commanding the fleet. Without any desire to learn, how could he manage?

Yet, oddly enough, this fleet grew from only one Camp-Level Spaceship at its foundation to over a thousand battleships now.

The number of crew members too increased from just a thousand or so Kuditian initially to now, housing around a hundred thousand creatures of various species, with every battleship fully manned with warriors.

Jia Yan racked his brain, but still couldn’t figure out why he, clearly disinterested in managing, the supreme leader, could attract such a vast following.

”Jia Yan, I understand your thoughts; my previous master was similar. He also disliked managing, but still, subordinates gathered around him, some couldn’t even be driven away. However, you need to realize that all this is due to your own strength. Without reaching this level of power, they wouldn’t gather or acknowledge you, and even if some are genuinely willing to fight for you, they might abandon you if you lose your strength. So, you need to understand that everything comes from your own strength,” the Light Shadow Monster suddenly appeared, floating gently in front of Jia Yan, advising him softly.

”I understand. But I cannot comprehend how just being a powerful Strong One, without wanting the loyalty of others, can still attract the allegiance of the weak?” Jia Yan asked, puzzled.

”Exactly, the principle of the world is that the strong gain everything, even the loyalty and sincere allegiance of others, while the weak gain nothing,” the Light Shadow Monster nodded.

”The strong possess longevity, resources, the loyalty of others, and everything, but why do I still feel it’s not enough...” Jia Yan didn’t know how to explain his thoughts.

The Light Shadow Monster sighed deeply and slowly faded away.

Jia Yan’s emotions were something it couldn’t resolve; such was the dilemma of the strong, or perhaps, the emotional confusion that every intelligent being experiences, whether it was Jia Yan, extraterrestrial beings, or Earth people, all experiencing emotional fluctuations. Perhaps this was the true nature of intelligent beings.

Jia Yan’s thoughts drifted, recalling himself on Earth, traversing the starry sky, remembering when he was still human.

Some memories were sentimentally emotional, some were regretful, while others were a mix of tastes he couldn’t describe—each memory was a mix of various emotions, culminating into two words—”life...”

Boom!

A terrifying momentum transmitted throughout the entire fleet!

Despite sound being unable to travel in space, every member of the fleet heard this noise.

Moreover, every battleship and spaceship experienced significant shaking.

”What’s happening?”

”Is it an enemy attack? But the fleet’s radar shows no response.”

As the fleet proceeded according to plan, a sudden panic emerged. This was the first time the Giant Mosquito Fleet experienced such an unanticipated event, with even Jia Yan, the powerful Strong One, providing no warning to the crew.

The entire fleet relied too much on Jia Yan; perhaps Jia Yan himself hadn’t realized it, but although the Giant Mosquito Fleet could do without Findley, Mo Ke, the Kuditian, or even Kama, it absolutely could not do without him. At this moment, the whole fleet felt an immense shock without any warning from Jia Yan.

”No, this vibration, it’s emanating from the Camp-Level Spaceship, could it be...”

In the general commander’s battleship, Findley and Kama exchanged a glance, then both thought of a shocking possibility...

Could this disturbance be an advancement?!

”That’s impossible! Lord Jia Yan just advanced to a higher level not long ago... He, he, he couldn’t possibly advance again!” Kama exclaimed, eyes wide with astonishment.
