Reborn As An Interstellar Giant Mosquito

Chapter 339: Chapter 24: The gift for Earth people! [Asking for legal subscription] _1

A feeling of desolation filled the surface of this planet.

The Moon, as Earth’s only satellite, still holds the secret of how it was captured by Earth, remaining a mystery to this day. Because of its large size, it ranks fifth among all natural satellites in the solar system, with the ones ahead of it being the satellites of Jupiter and Saturn, these giant gas planets.

It’s hard to explain in astronomy how the relatively small Earth was able to capture such a large celestial body like the Moon to be its own satellite. The mystery of its formation is still unsolved by Earth’s astronomers!

Jia Yan walked on the surface of the Moon, feeling complex emotions for this celestial body that he had admired since childhood. Naturally, Jia Yan had a certain interest in exploring.

However, this place was not as mysterious as imagined, other than sand and rocks, it was extremely desolate.

After walking for not too long, Jia Yan gave up on exploration.

He returned to the spacecraft!

Perhaps his footprints on the Moon’s surface would become a topic of joyful discussion for future explorers... Who knows!

In no time, the massive spacecraft slowly lifted off.

”The Moon’s gravity is not great, but whether landing or taking off, the spacecraft is still somewhat affected. It’s clear that if I pilot the spacecraft to Earth, these issues need to be taken into account!”

Having simulated landing and taking off on the ground, Jia Yan now had a basic understanding of the issues to pay attention to when piloting a spacecraft.

Watching the monitor, the ever-shrinking moon’s sandy, rocky ground, he couldn’t help but affirm his operations and practice over the past few days.

These days were not wasted!

Not only did he learn more operations, but he also managed to vaguely understand some of the ’Auster language’ on the screen during this period.

What’s most exciting was that he activated an operation panel that seemed unrelated to flight operations two days ago!

Some things that Jia Yan could guess appeared on the display panel of this operation panel!

After some simple operations, he finally confirmed that this display panel is something similar to an Earth ’computer’, or perhaps just a device for querying information. But Jia Yan could also use it to perform some minor operations on the spacecraft!

For example, air! When he discovered this system the day before yesterday, he accidentally turned off the air system, causing the spacecraft to lose oxygen for a full five hours! It made Jia Yan very busy. In the end, he was able to restore the accidental operation from memory!

Others include minor operations of the spacecraft’s gravity and the opening and closing of some metal doors. After all, such a large spacecraft has many doors, and some places have certain functions. Unfortunately, Jia Yan’s body is too large to try these things!

These are all things that interest Jia Yan, and his greatest achievement was discovering the computer-like function!

No wonder they say that Earth’s technology strongly mirrors that of the Auster people. The things in this operating system also have some commonalities with the way computers operate on Earth! With some simple operations, Jia Yan understood a bit about how this system operates.

”Very good, with this system, as long as I spend time studying and learning carefully, and with my memory and understanding skills, I might really be able to learn the Auster language through it!”

Jia Yan looked at the operation panel in front of him, his eyes sparkling with excitement!

If he mastered the Auster language, the usefulness of this system would become greater. There may be countless pieces of information inside that he could learn and comprehend!

This could very well be his stepping stone. Through it, he could uncover more about the universe and the mysteries of life!

”Okay, I have a bit more confidence in the basic operation of the spacecraft now, it’s time for me to return to Earth! I hope those metal monsters have not turned to attack the village. I think it should be fine. After all, they don’t know I’ve set foot there, let alone that I have a connection with the village people!”

Jia Yan remained quite optimistic about whether the village would be attacked.

In space, the spacecraft traced a straight line headed for Earth!

At this moment, in the far reaches of the starry sky, a shuttle-like spacecraft had finally accelerated to its limit speed!

In the spacecraft, Daphne looked puzzled. In this region of the universe, she was the only representative of the three civilizations left alive. Who could be fighting against the Austers’ mining machines on Earth?!”

”If that Big Mosquito is still on Earth, he might probably cause an uprising among the mining machines. But that’s impossible! He should have died in an explosion on Neptune! So, what is it then?!”

Being extremely wary of a new potential opponent, Daphne was now quickly heading towards Earth!

However, even if this shuttle-like spacecraft had been fully repaired, it would still take about half a month to reach Earth at its current speed. Nobody knew what changes would occur on Earth during this time.

A saucer-like spacecraft finally neared Earth’s orbit.

Compared to its previous dilapidated appearance, it looked considerably better, though it still had a somewhat damaged look. The parts that were damaged from the explosion had completely fallen off. With some hatch doors tightly closed to block off several gaping holes, it now quite resembled the spacecraft featured in Earth’s sci-fi films.

Jia Yan was operating the spacecraft. Once again, he positioned it in the thermosphere, about 200 kilometers above Earth.

There were other satellites orbiting at this altitude, but they couldn’t detect Jia Yan’s spacecraft. Despite its ragged and crippled state, it was still an unbeatable piece of technology for Earth—an artifact of a whole different order of magnitude!

If Jia Yan were to give this spacecraft to Earth’s scientists for study, its simplicity might actually make research easier, possibly leading to a significant leap in Earth’s technology!

However, Jia Yan couldn’t possibly do that. His only means of transport in the universe was this spacecraft!

But this time, Jia Yan did bring a gift for Earth!

Big Mosquito’s body appeared in space!

The spacecraft’s hatch doors opened, and one by one, damaged or seemingly intact machines were thrown out!

These were combat machines from the Neptune Battlefield, their functions ceased due to the battle or the final explosion.

Jia Yan was busy amidst them.

Before long, five spacecraft he had selected appeared in the not-so-cold region of the thermosphere.

Among these machines, three were combat machines of the Auster people. Since Earth people seemed to have some connection with Auster civilization, or it might be that Oro—the representative of the Austers—deliberately guided Earth civilization to draw nearer to their own.

Therefore, these machines might be more useful to people on Earth. These three machines were of the same model – one was extremely damaged, one moderately damaged, and one appeared perfectly intact. Jia Yan believed that handing these over to Earth would be beneficial to their research.

However, getting them safely down would be a difficult task!

Jia Yan looked at the Earth below.

Having been away for several days, Earth still looked the same. From over 200 kilometers away, the large-scale wars and impending human extinction seemed completely irrelevant to the vast Earth. It was still rotating non-stop, with wispy clouds making a faint appearance.

The azure sea painted the entire planet a vibrant color.

After taking a look at the world below, Jia Yan took a deep breath of air in his respiratory system.

The moment the gas appeared in the vacuum of space, it seemed to be sucked away by an extremely powerful vacuum cleaner, leaving no trace behind.

Then, a flash of light sparkled in Big Mosquito’s compound eyes.

He decided to take action!

”The last time I went to the surface, the Metal Monster didn’t seize the opportunity to attack me. Does this mean that they don’t have a strong defensive inclination against invaders like me from space? After all, they are all machines acting according to their design. Their behavior is quite rigid.” (To be continued. If you like this novel, please vote and subscribe on qidian.com. Your support is my greatest motivation. Mobile users can read it on m.qidian.com.)
