Reborn As An Interstellar Giant Mosquito

Chapter 326: Chapter 11 Battle Guesses and Underlying! [Subscribe]_1

Just as the atmosphere was starting to tense up!

A resounding, deep, male voice echoed throughout the forest!

”Humans! Go back! From now on, I will be protecting this village!”

This male voice, heard by the unsuspecting humans, was absolutely astounding!

To say that a human voice could carry with it such prominent resonance, was simply impossible!

It even felt like this voice didn’t originate from the vocal cords that shape speech by vibrating the air. Instead, it was created in a way these humans couldn’t understand, a way that made the entire air resonate!

Hence, according to the meaning derived from the words spoken, everyone was astonished to infer that it was indeed the giant mosquito monster standing before them that had spoken!

Before the villagers could react, the young man with glasses, with what seemed like steady steps, respectfully bowed before the giant mosquito monster with devout humility.

”Thank you for your help!”

Jia Yan lightly nodded, and then opened his wings!

All the villagers felt a powerful swirl of wind sweeping over them!

Afterwards, they saw the gigantic body slowly take flight under their gaze, gradually disappearing into the distant night sky...

Only then did they come to their senses!

Did this incredibly powerful giant mosquito just promise to protect their village?!

The giant mosquito wants to protect their village?!

This was the most bizarre thing they had ever experienced!

All the humans present did not know how to react to this revelation.

Only the two assassins, and the Jia family members, knew what was happening. Though they couldn’t tell anyone about it, even they were feeling a surreal sense of reality. They knew of the potential help from the giant mosquito but had not anticipated that it would directly protect them!

So, none of them knew how to feel about this, only the two assassins, who were relatively acquainted with many there, had to step in and speak!

Everyone in the village had a good relationship with these two assassins, being under their protection, they managed to escape as a part of the battle squad. Nobody would have guessed that the metal monsters would relentlessly chase them, leading to more casualties in their group compared to others.

”Let’s get back. Dr. Chen, we’ve a lot of injured people. We’re relying on you.”

The spectacle-wearing young man spoke in a straightforward manner.

Helpless, no one was in a position to question the giant mosquito’s intentions. They had nowhere else to go.

With no other choice, the villagers, including the Jia’s family members, followed the two assassins back towards the largely destroyed settlement.

From the sky, Jia Yan was observing the scene below. His body had already ascended to an altitude of at least two kilometers above the ground. Up in the thousands of meters high, his figure had blended into the dark night sky.

Ordinary people could never spot him!

Jia Yan, from such a height, was observing the scenery below.

The land had been severely damaged by the metal monsters, which were incomparably stronger than humans and showed no regard for the environment. Not only were humans affected, but the destruction had also extended to forests and various other animals, who were massacred by the rampaging metal monsters!

Jia Yan started to circle around the nearby mountains and forests.

He returned to Earth, never having intended to eradicate the Metal Monsters. He knew that he did not have enough power to accomplish such a feat!

One or two, or even hundreds or thousands of metal monsters, he could easily kill. But when faced with tens of thousands of metal monsters, his combat power seemed woefully inadequate.

On Earth, conservatively, there are millions of metal monsters. With so many of them, even if he spent all his time and energy, kill them all seemed an impossible task.

Furthermore, Jia Yan never wanted to help humanity to this extent. In the war between humanity and the Metal Monsters, his priority was to protect the safety of his family. The rest, he couldn’t care less about.

Jia Yan continued to fly.

He did not push his speed, but maintained a tempo of eight to nine hundred kilometers per hour, hovering at low altitude in this environment.

The surrounding air temperature had dropped to around minus ten degrees Celsius, but Jia Yan no longer felt the chill. His resistance to extreme temperatures had reached an extraordinary level during his mutation in the universe. Therefore, he was far from being affected by these temperatures!

He had indeed become stronger!

”On Earth, actually, I face the greatest threat from the Metal Monsters’ red lasers!”

As Jia Yan looked around, he started to rank the things he was wary of at the moment.

The strongest weapon of the Metal Monsters was undoubtedly the red lasers. If there was anything on Earth capable of endangering his life at once, it would be the lasers!

”However, I guess the Metal Monsters are not as intelligent as humans. In the past when they launched red lasers, there were traces, which were either at the places they perceived as a threat or some large human cities!”

”Now that they lost their commander, the so-called Auster representative, who died above Neptune! Hence, the fighting autonomy of Metal Monsters should have declined significantly! From my previous observation, it seemed that they did not launch many red laser attacks during the months I was away!”

Jia Yan wasn’t in a rush to venture onto Earth after piloting the aircraft. When he sought the location of Huaxia, he roughly looked over the current state of the ground.

There were many traces of cities undergoing red laser attacks, but the city of Washington, utterly decimated after the laser attack, wasn’t among them!

Shanghai City had also been attacked by the red lasers of the Metal Monsters, but the general city’s appearance was still preserved. This suggested that the power of the Metal Monsters’ red lasers was nowhere near as potent as before!

Therefore, Jia Yan estimated that after the death of the Auster representative, the permissions of the Metal Monsters were lowered. Or perhaps they simply lacked the warfare wisdom to launch the most powerful red laser attacks!

That would make things easier!

Jia Yan could now worry less about the red laser attacks, giving him more freedom to navigate his battles on Earth!

Even if the red laser attack appeared, Jia Yan already had some countermeasures!

On the brink of leaving Earth, before his mutation took place, he had once dodged such an attack!

In that narrow escape, luck had gone his way, but he always pondered over the sense of caution his body had manifested autonomously. Initially, he had thought it to be pure luck. Even in the battles across the universe above Neptune, the sensation had recurred.

Therefore, Jia Yan realized that his biological evolution had reached a stage where his body could respond to his surroundings with caution.

In reality, this concept, although complex and mysterious, has a simple principle.

After experiencing numerous battles, Jia Yan had evolved to use environmental features to increase his survival chances, as a cautionary measure against danger!

His perception stemmed from his sensory organs, such as his eyes, his exoskeleton’s temperature sensor, and his tactile antennae. These organs collectively heightened his sensation of alertness!

When he miraculously dodged the massive red laser, his sensory organs played a pivotal role! First, his compound eyes refracted the peculiar distortion of the incoming red lasers. Then, signals were sent to his brain, instilling a sense of danger in his body, which consequently sparked a substantial reaction, allowing maximum evasion of danger! (To be continued.
