Reborn As An Interstellar Giant Mosquito

Chapter 336: Chapter 21 Return to the Aircraft! [Seeking Official Subscription]_1

Bam!!

The very next moment, Jia Yan felt a red beam of light streak past him and shoot into the infinite cosmic horizon!

He wasn’t hit!

”Great! My idea is correct! I can use my most powerful brainwave power at the moment of evasion. Even though it’s hard to control and can only be used momentarily, its strength is enough for me to dodge numerous dangers!”

Jia Yan, as if he had discovered a new continent, had a glint in his Compound Eyes, sparkling and radiant!

”Alright! Upwards!”

Without waiting for anything, Jia Yan started buzzing his wings immediately and flew towards higher altitudes!

Simultaneously, the red beams of light were chased after him relentlessly, shooting precisely at his location!

Jia Yan took advantage of his newly researched evasion method and kept dodging!

This was not because Jia Yan could exactly cope with the red laser beams, it was because he had more room to do so when he was flying high in the sky. That’s why he has been able to do this even a few days earlier.

Jia Yan wasn’t just training to dodge, but at this time, he avoided the red light attacks while flying higher and higher!

Higher!

Even Higher!

Ten thousand meters!

Fifteen thousand meters!

Twenty thousand meters!

Twenty-five thousand meters!

Thirty thousand meters!

Finally, when the Big Mosquito reached an absolutely high altitude of thirty thousand meters!

The red beams from below, which had been aiming to shoot at him constantly, stopped attacking!

The way Jia Yan was flying was not just by simply using his wings. The air here was now very thin and gravity was decreasing. He was just circling around the Earth, gently using the dual force of Brainwave Power and his wings to fly upwards slowly...

”So high...”

Without the threat of the red lasers, the Big Mosquito, now relieved, could calmly observe the scenery now.

At an altitude of over thirty thousand meters, this area already was forbidden to life.

Earth’s curvature was now clearly visible.

Clouds were drifting beneath his feet. The houses and trees on the ground were indistinguishable, all merged into one patch.

The surrounding air was incredibly thin. Humans in this place may already be suffocated.

However, for Jia Yan, who can hold his breath and fly in space, this place was far from his limit!

The surrounding temperature was extremely low, probably around minus fifty to sixty degrees.

Jia Yan discovered that the gas expelled from his ’respiratory organ’ was instantly freezing!

But since he was enclosed in a temperature-resistant exoskeleton, Jia Yan didn’t feel overly rigid.

Flying at such a high altitude was indeed pleasurable.

The Big Mosquito was not flying straight up into the sky!

If you fly straight up hoping to break through Earth’s gravity and reach the universe, you would need to hit the ’first cosmic speed’, which is at least 7.9 kilometers per second!

Even though Jia Yan could reach and even exceed that speed when he was in the air, it didn’t mean that he could achieve that same speed in the semi-vacuum environment where the air was lost!

Therefore, he was now just circling the Earth while being propelled by his flapping wings and his Brainwave Power, leveraging the momentum from his previous intense dash...

This was a process of upward ascension on a slope.

He was slowly flying up diagonally, so it wasn’t a direct battle with Earth’s gravity, instead a gentle flight process.

ZActually, reaching such a high place was not that hard. Humans’ weather balloons can also reach such heights, but continuing to rise from there would be practically impossible!

Because, in the upper air, the atmosphere is thinner. The principle of a hot air balloon is to rely on hydrogen which is lighter than air to rise. In a place without air, the hot air balloon could not continue to rise!

But Jia Yan was different!

After spending half a day, revolving around the Earth once!

He had ascended to an altitud of eighty thousand meters!

At this altitude, it’s almost a complete vacuum!

Earth has become a giant sphere with blue oceans, painting the entire planet in a breathtaking azure hue. Impossibly beautiful, it stirs the soul!

Jia Yan gazes at the view below, unable to find words. When he descended from his spacecraft earlier, he only caught a glimpse as he hurried down to the surface, missing this magnificent sight.

Now, he greedily takes in all of this beauty with his eyes!

It’s beyond beautiful. How can he allow those alien civilizations to destroy it?

With that thought, he continues on his flight forward!

At this part of the Earth’s atmosphere, the temperature is incredibly cold, reaching a terrifying negative eighty-three degrees!

When Jia Yan had originally descended, the sheer speed of his descent caused friction with this part of the atmosphere and lit a fire, so he had no preparation or knowledge of this temperature!

It’s cold!

Extremely freezing!

At negative eighty-three degrees, even the insulation exoskeleton covering his body could no longer fully protect him.

He felt as if he was freezing solid!

Hurry!

In his most recent transformation, Jia Yan developed the ability to generate heat in his internal organs. But at this moment, even these organs couldn’t withstand the cold, and he began to feel stiff!

However, thankfully, his brainwave power was completely unaffected by the cold. Therefore, he could still wield his brainwave power to its fullest!

NOW was a test of time!

Jia Yan’s speed began to increase. Although he was still spiraling upwards, gravity had significantly lessened in this part of the atmosphere, so he was able to increase his brainwave flight speed!

Half an hour later, he finally broke through this layer!

Following the cold, an intense heat wave greeted him!

The layer that came after the mesosphere was the ionosphere, the name implying extreme ’warmth.’

But for humans, this was way more than just warmth!

This part of space is ionized due to the impact of cosmic rays, releasing vast amounts of heat and thus earning its name.

”It’s so hot... No wonder I felt something amiss when I exited the spacecraft. This layer is scorching!”

The ionosphere can reach temperatures between four hundred to twelve hundred degrees. An ordinary human would quickly be charred to a crisp!

Jia Yan began another bout of agony.

Luckily, the temperature wasn’t that high at the start of the ionosphere. At this distance, he was quite far from Earth and able to move even faster!

His spacecraft was stationed just two hundred kilometers away from Earth!

”Thank goodness for the remote control!”

Jia Yan wasn’t confident that he could locate his spacecraft nearly two hundred kilometers away from Earth. He simply removed a uniquely constructed remote control from his wing and pressed a button!

From his past explorations, he knew this button was for summoning the spacecraft. The actual effective range hadn’t been tested, but it had never failed so far no matter how far away he was!

Just as he expected!

After waiting for no more than a dozen minutes, he saw an eighty-meter diameter disc-shaped spacecraft slowly approach him.

”Actually, I could have called the spacecraft from a lower altitude. But the red lights there are still a threat, and flying this high using my own power is also a unique experience.”

Jia Yan smiled to himself. This arduous flight was all to bring him to his spacecraft!

As he opened the door of the spacecraft and entered, he remained unaware that in the higher reaches of the sky, a flying object was observing his actions!

This was a man-made satellite navigating space at a height of over five hundred kilometers, a reconnaissance one.

Operating at full capacity, this satellite had been tracking Jia Yan’s every movement since he took off from the ground until the spacecraft appeared next to Jia Yan. Due to the craft’s own stealth capability, the satellite eventually lost track of him!

But this was already enough!

How could the observers not be astounded, or even terrified, when they saw the giant mosquito fly higher and higher against the onslaught of the red beams, even to an altitude more than two hundred kilometers above the ground?

How could this not fill them with terror?!(To be continued. If you like this work, please vote and donate on qidian.com. Your support is my greatest motivation. Mobile users please visit m.qidian.com to read.)
