The young man with glasses, in a moment of utmost anxiety, failed to notice the faint noises coming from the bushes nearby...

By the time he regained his vigilance and focused his gaze under the dim moonlight...

He was taken aback!

Then came a helpless bitter smile.

To add insult to injury, they were completely surrounded by about ten metal monsters!

”Well, if we die, remember you said this!” The young man with glasses raised his firearm.

The bearded man watched the scene before him with a look of defeat, shaking his head.

They both knew they were undeniably going to die!

”Only if Senior Insect sends out his Big Mosquito! But we haven’t seen any sign of the Giant Mosquito or Senior Insect in half a year. Would they show up now?”

The bearded man no longer cared about his wounds. Compared to the dead-end situation before them, his injuries were insignificant!

What a pity! The Jia’s family and some remaining soldiers were still in the Combat large troops behind. If they were to die, none of them would possibly survive!

In reality, even there were sounds of gunfire coming from the direction of the Combat large troop, as they seemed to be surrounded as well!

The combat capabilities of the metal monsters’ battle squad is not something a new and inexperienced combat squad can handle!

The two assassins shared a bitter laugh.

They had accepted their fate!

In front of them, the red light emanated from the barrels of the metal monsters. It really seemed like these ten metal monsters were doing them a favor.

At such a close distance, even if these metal monsters had terrible aiming, they could still strike them accurately, with no room for error!

The red lights continued to radiate and all the metal monsters were about to fire simultaneously!

The two assassins weren’t the type to idly wait for death either. Even if they were about to die, they would still put up a fight! As the monsters were about to fire, they also raised their guns. Even if they couldn’t damage the monsters, they wanted to at least give them a scare!

Although, it seemed that the metal monsters didn’t have the function of ’being frightened’, they did it anyway!

”Senior Insect! We’ve come as far as we could in protecting the Jia’s family, we did our best!”

The bearded man caught a glimpse of the red lights in front of him!

He knew he was about to die, but his final thought was that he had done his best to protect Jia’s family. Even if the outcomes were tragic, he didn’t regret anything!

Boom boom boom boom boom boom boom boom!!!!!!——

Just at that moment!

An incredibly defiant figure!

Overpowering the sound of bullets being fired!

Overpowering the flashes of red light!

Overpowering the existence of everything alive in the mountains!

This was an incredibly large monster!

He brought with him a whirlwind!

Descending from the heavens!!!

No one could make out his form, because he was just too fast!

Too fast, too quick!

Human eyes were simply unable to perceive such a large being at such a close distance! Even such a massive body was but a fuzzy shadow, incredibly fast!

The massive body landed with a tremendous thud!

Below, the bearded man and the others were on the brink of death. The super-huge body now had a strange glitter in his compound eyes. Suddenly, the large monster’s speed far exceeded the speed at which it had flown over!

Even faster now!

Clang!!!!!!——

Before anyone could react, the super monster descended from the sky, standing between the monsters and the humans!

And those red beams of attack began to shine at that moment!

They quickly shot towards the humans, but in front of them now was an impenetrable presence!

Plop plop plop!!!

One by one, the red beams struck the large monster!

The creature’s compound eyes shone even brighter as it took a stride forward!

Even though the metal monsters were strikingly similar in stature to humans, the gigantic creature that came trampling took up all the space between them! Its stride was so wide, it ended up standing over the metal monsters!

Its incredibly powerful legs stomped brutally on the metal monsters below.

Pairs of razor-sharp limbs swung wildly and rapidly!

The metal creatures tried to move, but their entire bodies tremored, unable to budge even an inch!

As if immobilized by a paralyzing spell, they were stuck in place, unable to move!

Crack!!

As its foot descended, two metal monsters were crushed to pieces under the enormous creature!

The other monsters were slashed to shreds by the creature’s fiercely sharp forelimbs!

These metal monsters, invulnerable to human firearms and littered the ground like scrap metal, were reduced to dust by the super monster that arrived unexpectedly!

All this happened in an instant. When the creature finished off the dozen metal monsters, the three humans still seemed stuck in the horrors of near death. Their minds went blank, struggling to process what had just happened!

Is this...

A giant mosquito monster?!

But God, has there ever been a mosquito this massive?!

Standing before them, its height surpassed five meters and total length was ten meters!

Could something so gigantic ever exist?!

Bigger than an elephant!

Impossible to exist on Earth, this super-sized monster!

”No! A Giant Mosquito? Could it have been sent by Senior Bug?!” was the quick response from the young man in glasses. Clearly, the giant mosquito was here to help them, especially as it shielded their bodies from the red light during their crisis!

Although this giant mosquito seemed fearless against those red rays, the fact that it saved them was undeniable!

Senior Bug wouldn’t care this much about their lives or deaths. The young man with glasses knew where he stood, and swiftly realized that this super-sized, invincible mosquito’s primary goal was not to save them, but to protect the Jia’s family!

He never understood why Senior Bug and these mosquitos valued the Jia’s family so much, but that didn’t hinder him from understanding the real purpose of this mosquito!

In that moment, he leaped from the ground, pointing towards a forest in the distance and shouting,

”Jia’s family is there! Go save them!”

As he finished speaking, the super-sized mosquito started moving!

The three of them only felt a gust of wind like a typhoon blowing past them. They were all swept off their feet and tumbled onto the ground!

The super massive creature, which had once shadowed the sky in front of them, vanished without a trace, as if it had never existed!

The speed of this mosquito had reached a level that violated the laws of physics!

Such a massive body moved as if there was no inertia, like it slapped scientists like Einstein right in the face!

Jia Lin hid behind a large rock.

Her father held a gun issued to him by the Battle Squad. The gun’s range was short, but it had the magnetic shock bomb specifically designed for metal monsters. Jia’s father, with this underestimated firearm from the Battle Squad, was protecting his wife and daughter!

As he had been doing for the past twenty years!

He had failed to protect their son, so he had vowed that anything trying to harm his family would have to step over his dead body first!

The Battle Squad members tasked with protecting them had either fled or died. Now, it was the untrained Father Jia’s turn to step forward!

Bang! Bang! Bang!!!

Suddenly, Jia Sheng’s gun blazed with fire!

A metal monster rushed slantingly forward, but fell back under the barrage of Father Jia’s assault of three bullets!

But it was unharmed!

The ingenious solutions developed by the Huaxia nation to combat the metal monsters had been reduced to an ineffectual metal plate.

During the metal monster’s retreat, Father Jia discharged all the bullets from his handgun. Unfortunately, his aim was poor and he missed the monster!

The metal monster was unharmed. It quickly regained its footing, the gun nozzle on its head suddenly filled with an intense firelight.

It was about to unleash its red light!

”Ahhh!!!”

Just then, a petite figure dashed out from behind the rock! (To be continued. If you like this story, welcome to qidian.com to vote and buy monthly tickets. Your support is my biggest motivation. Mobile phone users please read on m.qidian.com)
