Reborn As An Interstellar Giant Mosquito

Now, Jia Yan himself wondered, as long as he had a certain amount of oxygen, he could survive, even on a moon of Jupiter or Saturn. If there was even a glimmer of oxygen he might be able to survive!

However, it would be too hard, and his family would certainly not let go. So Jia Yan still wanted to stay on Earth and see what he could do. After all, this was for his own future survival!

”In fact, there is one thing I must do, and that is to see if I can solve the energy problem of this spaceship!”

Jia Yan looked at the text on the metal panel of the spaceship. He already knew that one of the graphic indicators it represented was the remaining amount of the energy system. Thankfully, he didn’t know what kind of high-level energy this spaceship used, the energy consumption was about twenty percent only from Neptune to the Earth!

Even with the remaining energy, he could enjoy a journey around the stars in the Solar System, but if he didn’t take this issue seriously earlier, it would definitely be a big problem in the future!

”Alright, the energy is still enough, let’s try some detailed operations first!”

Jia Yan finally started to attempt the specific operation of flying!

This time he looked at the things on the panel, carefully observed the buttons, and did not dare to press those that looked very dangerous. As for the others, he tried the effect by pressing them once.

”So that’s it, this is for locking the speed! This is for setting the direction angle! If I knew these functions earlier, I wouldn’t have been so tired when I was returning!”

After a simple test, Jia Yan found a number of functions.

It’s not that he didn’t think of testing the functions before, but back then, if he broke the spacecraft before reaching Earth, it would be over for him. But now it’s different, he is not far from Earth, and he has familiarized himself with the basic functions of the spaceship, even if there is a situation, he thinks he can resolve it.

”Alright, now let’s test some more detailed functions, and try to understand the text on top!”

What Jia Yan really wanted to do was to learn the so-called Auster language, if he could, he might have been able to develop all the functions of this spaceship!

However, he is not a linguist, so he can only make do, watch the reactions to operations, and see if he can understand the gist of these words.

”This character also appears on the control stick and represents straight-line motion! And now it’s used in conjunction with these words, doesn’t that indicate that these words are used for some sort of straight-line operation?!”

Jia Yan slowly tried to figure it out.

The spacecraft, very close to the Moon, was performing many actions, and it looked somewhat peculiar, being a powerful alien spaceship but occasionally out of control, which was distressing.

But the spaceship could always be controlled back in critical situations, because its pilot was a fast-reacting combat professional!

Jia Yan continued to fumble and experiment with the operations.

This time he was determined not to return to Earth until he figured out most of the functions of the spacecraft!

After all, if he returns to Earth again, the Metal Monster would definitely not welcome him, and Jia Yan doesn’t know what to do with that red light. If he goes back rashly, the possibility of getting hurt is very high.

But Jia Yan has his own ideas!

”If possible, next time go into their buildings that emit red light and see if you can destroy one! If I can do that, then this red light, for me, is not something impossible to face!”

Jia Yan continued his attempt.

The skill of operation was slowly improving at this moment.

But in a place he didn’t know, that place was extremely far away!

The place was close to the orbit of Neptune, but still a certain distance from Neptune.

In that place, a huge interstellar object was slowly moving through the void of the universe, with the dazzling background of Neptune.

’Empire’ communication base!

In this base, lights were flowing, with numerous strange lights flickering.

The typical style of the Empire is rich in colors and has many beautiful things as decoration.

In the midst of countless beautiful things, there was an incredibly striking woman who seemed to be at once an elegant aristocratic lady and a young maiden full of dreams. She donned a soft elegant garment as she slowly ambled.

This woman was strikingly gorgeous, her features alluding to a sense of poise and serenity between her graceful movements and arched neck.

Her face was radiant and beaming, as if she had received some good news and her gaze carried a sparkle of mirth.

This woman was none other than Jia Yan’s ’old acquaintance’, Daphne!

It seemed she had received a reply from the Empire’s exploration ship and, at this moment, her heart was brimming with happiness.

However, at the base, during her excitement, a faint noise started echoing about!

”Hmm... why are there so many heat sources emerging from Earth? These should be the super-heat sources from the Auster people’s mining machines. What could possibly make them exert such tremendous power in attack?!”

A trace of seriousness appeared in Daphne’s eyes. Having received a reply from the exploration ship, she was excited at the prospect of receiving a recommendation from the ship, potentially securing her true identity within the Empire. At this moment more than ever, she wanted to avoid any mishaps!

She was determined to protect the minerals deep within the Earth!

Swiftly, she hastily made her way to a monitoring facility in the massive base.

The Earth was about forty minutes away from Neptune in terms of light travel. Even with Daphne’s technological advancements, she could only monitor the situation on Earth to a certain extent, and could not be fully aware of every change!

”Thousands of super-heat sources attacking all at once?! What on earth could make the mining machines expend so much energy, and they still haven’t win!” Daphne saw the surveillance monitor, showing countless terrifying rays of light firing off one after another!

Because the image was not stable enough, she could not ascertain what those sky-piercing, ten thousand trails of red light rays were actually firing at!

But Daphne was certain that something was happening on Earth! Otherwise, the automated mining machines, which had lost their Auster representatives, wouldn’t be wasting so much energy!

”I am on the verge of becoming a member of the Empire. I will not allow anything to destroy the dream I’ve held for three hundred years!”

Daphne, on her long agile legs, began to move quickly.

Her pace was fast and her face exuded a unique charm!

Her dream was just within her grasp and she would not let it go, even if there were unforeseen complications on Earth, she was determined to regain control of the situation!

Soon after, a newly revamped Flying Stick spacecraft, like a powerful horse, swiftly darted out of the signal base towards Earth at an incredible speed!

The Moon.

It was a place without air or much gravity. As a celestial body that already had traces of human activity, the Moon, a close neighbor of Earth, had been explored by humans multiple times. If it hadn’t been for the appearance of the Metal Monster, human beings would perhaps soon be able to rely on their own efforts to set foot on the Moon, embarking on their own path to the stars!

But at this time, there was clearly a life form not from Earth, tentatively hopping around!

This creature looked like an Earth Mosquito, but this Mosquito was unbelievably gigantic!

It had long, siphon-like mouthparts, a dusky body, and six terrifyingly long legs, each over twenty meters, which it used to walk slowly on the Moon’s rocky surface.

With each step, it could leap forward a long distance.

This creature was none other than Jia Yan himself!

The spacecraft stood not far away. This time, Jia Yan was trying to operate the spacecraft to simulate landing.

In the past, he flew the spacecraft in the vacuum of space, but there would undoubtedly be times when he needed to land it. Therefore, it would be best to train now, rather than make errors when it really mattered.

So, right now, he stayed stationary on the surface of the Moon in his spacecraft.

Here, there were no Moon goddesses or laurels, only endless sand and rock.
