Reborn As An Interstellar Giant Mosquito

Chapter 334: Chapter 19 - A Battle That Could Be Called Epic! [Requesting Subscription]_1

”There’s dust and smoke to cover me, the building should not be able to attack me right now!” Jia Yan made a judgment!

”And the reason why the previous attack was so dangerous was because I was close to the ground, with very limited ways and routes to dodge. If I fly higher, he is unlikely to corner me like this again!”

Jia Yan looked backwards, where the huge explosion had triggered, the dust was still swirling in the sky, and the dazzling flames had set the entire forest on fire, burning with terrifying intensity!

At this moment, Jia Yan can take the opportunity to leave quickly under the cover of dust and flames!

With that thought, Jia Yan vibrated his wings and took off from the ground!

Although in the high altitude, he could be less afraid of the red light beam, however, there were still countless Metal Monsters on the ground. If he flew high, he would again fall into that distressing encirclement of attacks!

If the red light continues to take the opportunity to attack him by then, he will fall into the next crisis again.

Therefore, Jia Yan dare not fly high at this moment, instead, he avoids the main force of Metal Monsters and chooses a direction where there are fewer Metal Monsters to fly forward!

This is a battle without winners or losers!

Despite him killing more than a thousand Metal Monsters, and even due to the red light attacking it, it may have affected the nearby Metal Monsters, causing at least two to three thousand Metal Monsters to die!

However, Jia Yan himself also suffered a little injury, and his defense has almost reached its limit. Otherwise, how could he choose to retreat now!

It seems that Jia Yan has won a complete victory, but the actual situation is not the case.

The body of the Giant Mosquito was flying away quietly in an area where there were fewer Metal Monsters...

Even if there were any obstacles, they were rapidly defeated!

Before other Metal Monsters could react, his huge figure disappeared on the horizon!

Even though Jia Yan thought that he only made a draw with the opponent, the humans who had been observing the battle did not think so!

His combat power, under these circumstances, simply filled all humans with profound shock!

Powerful!

What an incredibly powerful creature this is!!

At the time of observing this battle, humans didn’t expect to witness such an epic battle!

It is just a Giant Mosquito Monster, humans had thought that even if this monster could escape, it would at most use its flying advantage to escape in the sky!

The shadow that could hold back countless Metal Monsters, shuttling back and forth amidst tens of thousands of red light beams, already shocked them to the core!

But then, the image showed the Giant Mosquito Monster actually attacking the ground!

Using its speed that almost surpasses any human aircraft, it killed the Metal Monsters in an utterly cruel way!

How incredibly powerful this is!

But this powerful Giant Mosquito is sure to run into trouble next!

That is the Metal Monsters’ ultimate weapon—the Red Light Attack from the metal monster buildings!

Humans had already realized the attack pattern of this red light beam in previous battles: it appears when facing a formidable military threat, or when the Metal Monsters suffer heavy losses in battle. Then, the buildings built by the Metal Monsters would emit that red light!

These light beams, like a King’s Sword hanging over humans’ heads, they knew that even if they could defeat the Metal Monsters on the ground, without a way to fight against the red light beams of the Metal Monsters, humans had no chance of winning!

But the Giant Mosquito Monster, with its power, showed humans that these red light beams were not undefeatable!

It actually forced the buildings to use the red light beam twice in a row!

And the power of these two light beams, definitely did not fall short of the power they use to attack cities!

This suggests that the indistinct entities in those buildings, weighing the threat of the Giant Mosquito monster, perceived it as no less of a menace than a colossal human city—perhaps even more!

And so it was!

Human cities are stationary; one Red Light Attack and they are reduced to rubble.

But that Giant Mosquito monster, despite its enormous size, proved to be enormously nimble!

In that moment, nobody could decipher how the Giant Mosquito monster avoided the Red Light Attack! After all, using satellites to monitor a ground battle, let alone such a swiftly unfolding battle, was something no nation’s satellite had managed to capture!

All they witnessed, was this Metal Monster rising from the dust and flames like an immortal phoenix, flourishing despite the seemingly invincible Metal Monster’s onslaught!

”This...this...”

Everyone gazed at the retreating figure of the Giant Mosquito on the battlefield, terror overwhelming them.

The Giant Mosquito had merely altered its exterior from a dark hue to a deep blue, but this trivial change allowed it to dispatch so many Metal Monsters. Even more terrifying was the fact that not only had it accomplished this amidst tens of thousands of Metal Monsters, but it had also survived the Metal Monster’s seemingly insurmountable massive red beam!

Such power was beyond anyone’s imagination!

”Hurry, report the results of this battle...no! Campaign! Report this campaign’s outcome to our leaders! They must be thrilled!”

A leader from the observation station, initially not among the observing crowd, had now joined them, his face brimming with excitement.

They had witnessed an epic battle!

Even though humans were not the ones responsible for the successful outcome of this campaign, they could still be thrilled! The emergence of the Giant Mosquito monster not only halted the attack on Shanghai City by the Metal Monsters, but this sole monster also almost obliterated the combat power of tens of thousands of Metal Monsters, and it even defended against the huge red beam - a form of attack which humanity had no way of defending!

Who could have anticipated such a development!?

Perhaps only the Giant Mosquito itself dared to dream of such a scenario!

From humanity’s perspective, knowing the Giant Mosquito would fight the Metal Monsters was already an amazing revelation; no one dared to imagine that the Giant Mosquito could stand its ground against such vast quantities of Metal Monsters!

Humans initially hoped that if the Giant Mosquito engaged the Metal Monsters in battle, it would spark an all-out war between the Giant Mosquitoes and the Metal Monsters. Regardless of the victor, it would give humanity a chance to recuperate!

But what they hadn’t expected was...

This single Metal Monster was capable of achieving such a significant victory! Just one was able to match the combat power of tens of thousands, or even more, of Metal Monsters! If this Giant Mosquito were truly on humanity’s side, their chances of survival could significantly improve!

Therefore, they needed to disseminate their news, keeping the world abreast of events, as these developments were too heartening!

”Last night, a Giant Mosquito monster landed approximately 100 kilometers from Shanghai City, bravely fought tens of thousands of Metal Monsters, and despite being in a dominant position, was forced to tactically retreat after two massive red beam attacks!”

”Discussion about the combat power of the Giant Mosquito monster and the likelihood of warfare between them and the Metal Monsters!”

This was the content featured in the urgently supplemented section of the newspaper the next day, all of which centered around the description and analysis of this unprecedented battle!

Since most forms of media and communication lines were down, humans had reverted to primarily receiving news through newspapers!

This news, disseminated via newspapers and other forms of media, spread far and wide, like a bird in flight!

All of humanity was awestruck, filled with renewed hope!

The conflict between the Giant Mosquito monsters and Metal Monsters seemed to have been simmering for centuries! Some even claimed that when the Metal Monsters first appeared in the Wa Kingdom, they had already had a skirmish with a Giant Mosquito monster!

Media coverage regarding the longstanding feud between Giant Mosquitoes and Metal Monsters started gaining traction!

Through these descriptions of each battle, it appeared to everyone that the animosity between the Metal Monsters and the Giant Mosquito monsters was utterly irreconcilable!

Perhaps this was just people’s hopes obscuring reality. As to the actual origins of the hostility between the Giant Mosquito monsters and the Metal Monsters, and whether they would eventually wage a full-scale war, only the warring parties themselves could truly predict!

Jia Yan wasn’t sure what the Metal Monsters’ endgame was, but he did feel that someday, he must resolve this conflict with the Metal Monsters once and for all! (To be continued.
