The metal monster in front of him, unknowingly hit in its critical spot, tilted its head and remarkably stopped moving!

Fan Haofei wiped the blood from his face and then leaned against the wall to sit down.

Beside him, his comrades lay in pools of blood.

Just to fight two metal monsters, they paid the price of a whole squad.

Fan Haofei looked at his surroundings and realized that he was in a ruined neighborhood where he once, as a construction worker, had helped a family install aluminum alloy windows!

He looked across.

The house of that family was in ruins now, far from the luxury mansion he remembered.

“Heh…war…” He thought back to when he first arrived in Shanghu, promising himself that one day he would earn a house like this in Shanghai City.

A bitter smile involuntarily crept up the corner of Fan Haofei’s mouth.

This smile on his face was a mixture of both laughter and tears.

It was as ugly as it could get.

How he wished he could open his eyes and everything would return to the way it was half a year ago.

Back then, he would call home one night a week, and every day, regardless of the time, he would have a game hanging on his computer.

The carefree days were gone forever.

“If I could go back, I would promise my family to return to work in the county.

Even if I have to give up four thousand, I would definitely go back.”

Fan Haofei’s fingers trembled.

He found his arm was covered in blood, and he couldn’t even hold his gun properly!

This arm was meant for holding construction tools, not weapons.

Without any hesitation, he cast aside the weapon that had no ammunition left, to the ground.

Click!

Click!!

Click…

Soft sounds emerged in the dark night.

Behind these sounds, were grotesque metal monsters!

Their bodies advanced closer, getting near to the young man drained of energy due to the battle, near to the man who was transformed from a common worker to a warrior due to the war.

Fan Haofei took a glimpse of the approaching metal monsters and smirked.

Spontaneity, that was his mood now.

In these six months, he had lived longer than his former comrades.

His family was out of contact now.

He felt there was no point in living.

Click, click.

The young man took out a lighter and a cigarette from his pocket.

Although the military strictly forbade it, the soldiers always found a way to carry cigarettes.

A burning flame lit up the cigarette.

The red light flickered fiercely in the dark alley.

As Fan Haofei took a drag on his cigarette, it felt as if he could go back to more than half a year ago when he was in his work clothes at the same location, doing the same thing.

The only difference was there were no metal monsters breathing down his neck, his family could be reached, the comrades around him were strangers, yet he would rather not know them than witness their deaths!

The metal monsters advanced even faster.

It wasn’t long before the red barrels of the monsters surrounded the young warrior in the dark.

Not more than two meters away, there was a circle of five metal monsters.

It seemed like they knew how weak this young warrior was, so they came right up to him.

Maybe they wanted to get close to kill the young human warrior!

Fan Haofei sluggishly watched the approaching metal monsters.

“There’s an option to resurrect and try again in the game, I wonder if the same option exists in reality?”

“What do you guys think?”

With a cigarette butt hanging from his mouth and a strange look in his eyes, Fan Haofei’s hands clutched a grenade within them.

Pulling the pin would prompt a devastating explosion!

It might not kill the metal monsters, but could at least cause them some damage!

What Fan Haofei was doing was what countless other warriors had done when their strength was exhausted and they had no fighting ability left!

He had witnessed his comrades making this move a few times before.

Despite being close by, he couldn’t save them.

Now, it was his turn!

Click!

The cannon on the head of the metal monster was about to emit a red glow!

And the pin that Fan Haofei pulled, was almost out!

Life or death, hinges on this moment!

Buzzzzzzzzz!!!!!!!!!!!!

——

Screeeeeeech!!!!!!!!!!

——

A colossal shadow, like a super meteorite plummeting from the heavens, streaks through the sky, coursing with an arch of flames before striking down with ferocious force!

Its body, so tremendously vast!

Its body, exhibits such outrageous arrogance!

The wings it expands could seemingly overshadow heaven and earth!

Its elongated limbs appear capable of devastating anything in the world!

Its mouthparts, like a gigantic syringe, would appear as if it could puncture a hole in the sky itself!

Its body garbed in inky black, It’s like an emperor who commands darkness within the night, darting unrestrained within this shadowy realm!

This is a supermassive flying monster!

It’s too large, immensely so!

A monster reaching ten meters in length, with its wings spread out, covering an area of twenty meters in diameter!

It’s as if a building is soaring through the sky!

This colossal monster appears to fall from the edge of the heavens!

Its body is still encased in a fireball, the result of atmospheric friction!

It was as though a meteorite had plummeted down, with an overwhelming momentum!

Boom boom boom boom boom boom boom!!!!!!!!!!!

——

The giant mosquito monster, brushing past the battlefield, trailing in fire sparks and engulfed in a cloud of black smoke, streaks rapidly across the skies!

“This…This…!”

Fan Haofei, who was about to pull the pin on his grenade, had his eyes practically popping out!

What kind of creature is this?!

Giant Mosquito?!

You must be joking?!

The previously discovered giant mosquito monster on Earth was the largest at six meters.

This unearthly creature, plummeting down from the heavens, is so colossal, that it ignites the entire battlefield with the friction heat of its descent.

It’s not even in the same league!

A difference of four meters between six and ten meters might not seem much, but in reality, is massive!

If not for its strikingly similar appearance, no one would have believed it to be another giant mosquito monster!

Just too immense!

The impact it’s causing is extraordinary!

Boom boom boom boom boom!!!!!!!!!!

——

The giant mosquito, trailing flames, heads off into the wilderness of the sky!

With a single flap of its wings, the balls of fire encasing its entire body dissolve significantly in an instant!

With another flap, the flames have completely disappeared!

The entire heavens and the earth, once radiating brilliant light, dims into nothingness!

It’s as if a cascade of meteors had whizzed past, leaving evidence of their existence, then vanishes without a trace!

But the deafening sound of its mighty flight, however, has not diminished.

Instead, it intensifies during this moment becoming more enormous!

Screeeeeeech!!!!!!

——

The sound gradually fades away in the distance as though the monumental creature flew off to some far-off land!

But the impact it has caused is far from over!

At this moment, at the temporary command post in Shanghai City, a young liaison officer seems excited as if he had received some good news!

“The cause of the recent disturbance is reportedly a hitherto unseen giant mosquito monster!

According to satellite detection, it…

it descended from the sky!”

“From outer space?!

This…!

But, it doesn’t matter where they are from.

The giant mosquito race has been quiet for quite some time, and they have always had a tricky relationship with the metal monsters.

Regardless, the appearance of this giant mosquito is definitely beneficial for us!”

In the command center, everyone awaits the supermassive giant mosquito monster with a strange sense of anticipation!

At this moment, regardless of whether this giant mosquito is from outer space, as long as it helps them attack those metal monsters, even if the giant mosquito declares itself from the Ultraman planet or proclaims itself as God, they would welcome it.

Overcoming the metal monsters and surviving is their only prospect!

The problem is, neither Ultraman nor God is coming to their rescue!

And just as the flames blazing in the sky disappeared, that enigmatic giant mosquito seems to have vanished into the night!

At the same time, the metal monsters standing before Fan Haofei suddenly began to move!
