Reborn As An Interstellar Giant Mosquito

Chapter 323: Chapter 8 Is he your friend? [Seeking official subscription] _1

This Giant Mosquito felt even stronger than the previous one, yet when Jia Yan saw his daughter hugging the Giant Mosquito’s foreleg, with the mosquito showing no sign of reaction, Jia had an absurd guess.

Could this Big Mosquito really be the previous one?!

Why would it want to help our family?!

Jia Sheng wondered, astonished beyond measure.

But after the Metal Monster was exterminated by the Giant Mosquito, something even more astonishing happened!

Or rather, something that left the entire Jia family in shock!

”Are you... all right?!”

A voice hung in the air, audible once the threat had temporarily ceased.

The voice seemed to have a deep male tone, low and slightly hoarse.

It was extremely majestic!

And it was speaking perfect Huaxia dialect!

It even had a hint of the local Minxi accent!

Somewhat similar to their family’s accent?

The most startling thing was that the voice rang in the air as if it was originating from just beside the Jia family members!

What was this?!

Jia Lin lifted her head, her eyes filled with astonishment.

Jia Sheng stared at the Big Mosquito, completely thunderstruck, momentarily forgetting to reply.

Mother Jia put down the hand that was covering her mouth, her fearful expression practically etched onto her face.

This Big Mosquito, it actually spoke?!

This is...

”Is... is that you speaking? We’re all fine!”

Jia Sheng was the first to recover, swallowing, and spoke uncertainly.

Having a conversation with a Giant Mosquito felt incredible. Could it be that this mosquito was a supernatural creature? Otherwise, how could it speak, and with a slight Minxi accent, no less?

No matter how you looked at it, this was all very strange.

Having communicated with his family for the first time, Jia Yan felt an overwhelming sense of elation!

Since learning how to communicate through brainwaves, he had spent every day and night visualizing a successful communication with his family.

And now, it was truly happening before his eyes!

BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG!!!

In contrast to the elation that filled Jia Yan’s mind, gunfire rang out from just around two hundred meters away.

Jia Yan’s head, which had been slightly bowed, abruptly lifted.

The low trees around him did not block his line of sight!

Jia Yan saw a dozen armed humans guarding over seventy elderly and weak individuals. The remaining forty or so Metal Monsters in the forest had surrounded them!

Their ammunition was virtually depleted, and several of them were severely injured!

However, the humans seemed to be putting up a good fight against the Metal Monsters. The sight of several felled Metal Monsters along the route that Jia Yan had just flown spoke of their robust combat power!

Jia Yan could guess that these people were trained by the two assassins. And, considering that his family seemed unharmed in this battle, it was evident they had provided considerable aid!

So, after glancing around and seeing no Metal Monsters close enough to pose a threat to his family (and knowing he could rush to their aid with his speed), he consulted with his family before deciding to act.

”Are those... fighting... humans... your... friends?”

His speech was tentative, like a baby learning to speak, but his intention was clear.

Father Jia paused for a while, then realized what the Big Mosquito meant, it was asking about the people engaging in the battle in the village!

The thought occurred to him, that the Big Mosquito was seeking their opinion. If he asked, the Big Mosquito might be willing to help those friends, who had saved them several times in the battle!

Why not agree?! Not only were these people friends, but some of them were also comrades-in-arms!

Jia Sheng immediately nodded.

”Yes, they are all our friends!”

Jia Yan could see from his father’s expression that these people were more than just ordinary friends. So, without further ado, he moved his legs slightly!

After all, those people were not significant to him, so he didn’t fully employ his speed, as that would create a gusting wind that would affect his family.

He walked leisurely, step by step, in that direction.

During this period, a few more people were killed by the metal monsters, but for Jia Yan, their fate held no reactivity!

He did not know those people. If his family hadn’t desired to save them, their deaths wouldn’t have warranted Jia Yan even a casual glance!

The humans there were suffering immensely.

The battlefield at the moment, all humans were surrounded by the metal monsters. Ordinarily, these monsters weren’t highly intelligent, but their abilities in warfare were incredibly substantial, especially when their numbers reached a certain count, their combat power would be massively amplified!

One human after another was killed by them!

”Ah!” - A woman, holding her child, her heart, was ruthlessly pierced by a red beam!

Yet, she still clung tightly to her child, blood starting to leak from her mouth. She looked at her child, who was under three years old, unable to utter a word, she could only shed a tear, before drawing her last breath...

The child was at this point wailing incessantly. A little girl, who had lost her father in the conflict and now her mother right in front of her. She, too young to comprehend the meaning of death, could only continue crying on her fallen mother!

Yet, the approaching metal monsters showed no mercy for such a kid.

The footfalls of two metal monsters echoed as they moved closer to the weeping girl.

Clack, clack, clack!!

Their strides were relatively fast, it took them no time to reach the girl. She crouched on her mother’s chest, her watery big eyes fixed on the two approaching metal monsters.

Though she was naive, she knew these were evil monsters. The red beams they emitted shot down her father, and now her mother too!

She was terrified!

She kept calling out to her mother.

But the arms around her from her mother were unresponsive.

Tears had soaked her clothes, but her weeping was not uncommon in this forest, there were others, some even younger than her.

Everyone was fending for themselves, no one had hands to spare to help her out!

Two red beams on the heads of the metal monsters began to light up again. These monsters had no feelings, they would without a doubt not show any mercy!

But at this moment, an ultra-fast, slender object made a prefect shot!

Thud!

It ruthlessly pierced through both of the metal monsters in one go, completely penetrating their form!

It was an extremely thin object, like a needle!

The front end was attached to a much larger, tube-like structure.

It was the mouth-needle of a Giant Mosquito!

Jia Yan arrived at the site, using the mouth needle as a weapon which he hadn’t used in a long time!

He could not save the mother, but managed to rescue the sobbing three-year-old child in her arms.

Yet, the little girl continued to cry!

Jia Yan looked at the scene below, the blood of the fallen mother had seeped out, completely soaking the small girl.

A bright shade of crimson!

”Sigh...”

Jia Yan, looking at this scene, let out a long sigh in his heart.

His steps quickened, as he did not want to witness such scenes anymore, even if he no longer held any expectations of human salvation!

What would happen to the little girl in the future and what she would survive on were unknown. How many children like her were there in this war?

Jia Yan didn’t know. All he knew was that at this moment, he would do his best to help these people.

Of course, family was his first priority.

The sounds of explosions echoed through the forest!

Jia Yan took long strides, his gigantic body only required a few steps to cover hundreds of meters of the forest area!

The metal monsters here were one by one cleaned up by him.

The humans in the forest saw the giant monster passing overhead, its forefoot or the mouth needle making a single thrust, could easily annihilate the metal monsters.

They were all stupefied. News of the Giant Mosquito monster had reached their ears before, but for all of them, this was their first close encounter with such a creature, and this Giant Mosquito seemed to be unknown to them, its extraordinary length of ten meters!

Its combat power was incredibly formidable!

The metal monsters, who they couldn’t even compete against, turned into a pile of scrap metal under this one’s attack as if they were mere toys!(To be continued.
