Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 3941  Thoroughly Mortified

A flying boat hovered in the skies.

Its undulations told them it was at the Autarch Grade, but they were shocked, as they hadnʼt detected it before hearing the voice. Did the flying boat boast a powerful concealment formation? In that case, how much would it cost?

Just as they wondered what kind of wealthy individual the one who replied was, they saw it was a crimson-robed woman with crimson hair. Some strands were even icy blue in color. Her features were peculiar, so peculiar enough that they instantly recognized her.

”You…!”

They reacted, trying to capture Flamerose and Frostrose. It was important to their race to the throne. Even killing them was good.

The thirteenth prince clenched his fist, making a move to kill as he knew if this woman was here, then her husband, Divine Emperor of Death, might also be here.

However, there was no reaction to his attack.

Was his darkness ropes severed?

Just as the thirteenth prince laid his gaze on Flamerose and Frostrose, a little girl suddenly appeared before him. The others widened their eyes, the scene further shocking and confusing them. But recognizing the little girl was a spirit as she possessed purple skin, crimson-gold eyes, and a black flame symbol on her forehead, they instantly attacked, raising their hands.

*Sizzle!~*

Yet, the moment they raised their hands, their fingers were set ablaze by a black-purple flame.

”Ahhh!!!”

They screamed in pain, trying to get rid of the flames as light and darkness attacked them, but it was of no use. The flames spread to their arms, burning them away and turning them into ashes instantly.

”Imperial Advisor! Save us!”

One of the princes shouted at the skies, begging for help.

However, the Imperial Advisor himself made no move. His gaze was on the flying boat, but he kept shuddering as a hand was placed on his shoulder from behind. The hand itself wasnʼt firmly holding his shoulder, but the pressure was enormous, as though the entire weight of a mountain was weighing on him.

”Letʼs not take any action that results in your total annihilation, shall we?”

As Davis spoke, Shirley landed on the ground and pounced toward Flamerose and Frostrose, hugging them.

”I canʼt believe you guys appeared at the last moment.” Flamerose shook her head, smiling lightly.

The timing was impeccable, not that they were in much danger as they were just going to be extradited to their Fire Phoenix Clan if they surrendered. They were also aware that the imperial princes of the Eternal Twilight Imperial Family were toying with them, trying to get the most fun of a chase but they thoroughly took advantage of it as much as possible because it was Frostroseʼs plan.

If they were going to meet Davis, then the only way was for him to come to them and not the other way around. They had no idea where he was other than the fact that everyone here was searching for them in the Eternal Twilight Lower Realm, after all. Since they could not get rid of the pursuers, they acted as bait, hoping Davis would get to them without fail.

Even if he didnʼt, they would only be arrested and imprisoned. At least, it was better than fleeing all day long as they simply didnʼt know what to do with their lives. They were dead for a period of time, after all. As long as they were together, they werenʼt scared.

”Thanks for saving us again.”

Frostrose lightly smiled as she hugged Shirley and let her go.

She couldnʼt help but feel close to Shirley. They shared the same blood. The resonance, something only they could feel upon burning their blood essence, had saved them.

”…”

Shirley didnʼt know what to say. If they hadnʼt left today, Flamerose and Frostrose surely wouldʼve been caught and imprisoned. She was glad that they could make it in time before they got sent off somewhere else.

A few minutes later, the entire group of the Eternal Twilight Imperial Family was captured and restricted. They were tied around a huge tree, their cultivations suppressed by Davisʼs soul force overwhelming them using the Soul Suppression Art.

Davis wondered what he should do with them when a little girl ran to him.

”Master, I held back~”

Davis shot a look at her and couldnʼt help but reach his hand out to her head and ruffle her purple hair. She had stopped her apocalyptic flames from killing the three princes. The pain and the pressure from his soul caused them to faint.

”Very good, Calypsea. Your ability to control your flames is exquisite and deserves a special lollipop.”

”Yay!~”

Calypsea jumped, appearing delighted as she reached out her hand. When Davis brought out the lollipop made from annihilative heavenly flames, she grabbed it from his hand and fled towards Lea as though afraid he would take it back. It was somewhat of a limited edition item since there were not many annihilative heavenly flame wisps to begin with.

They all have been used up.

However, Davis knew they could be harvested as long as he had someone undergo their tribulation with karmic sin.

He returned his gaze to the armless princes and the so-called Imperial Advisor, who woke up after having fainted from being overwhelmed by a soul technique. The latterʼs expression turned unsightly and horrified as he looked at the Divine Emperor of Death, knowing this calamity had eradicated even Peak-Level Empyreans.

”W-What do you want?”

”Iʼve come to take the two of them away. That is fine, right?”

Davis gestured at Flamerose and Frostrose.

”Yes, yes.” The Imperial Advisor hurriedly nodded, ”Take them away. Theyʼre not our responsibility as weʼve just been told to capture them and hand them over by the venerable Heavenʼs Warriors.”

”Alright. Then Iʼll take my leave.”

Davis flicked his sleeves and walked away.

”…”

Watching the Divine Emperor of Death leave, the Imperial Advisorʼs heart pounded heavily. He was incredibly nervous, wishing the calamity would leave- no, leave the realm itself. They canʼt have him here, or their realm might collapse.

”…!” But suddenly, he saw the Divine Emperor of Death stop and turn to look at him with narrowed eyes.

His heart dropped.

”Wait… you will reveal my location after I leave. I canʼt have that, can I?”

Davis glared at the Imperial Advisor, causing the latter to stiffen abnormally that he looked like a stick hanging on a tree.

”Please spare us…” He shuddered as his teeth clattered, his tone pleading.
