Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 3909  A Wish From A Debt

”A wish…” Saintess Lunaria thought for a moment before she gazed at Shimei, her gaze softening.

”I just canʼt find the resources or make a pill that would allow a Nine Lives Gracious Fox to enter King-Tier or even Emperor-Tier. Perhaps you or Everlight can change that. I would appreciate it and am even willing to pay compensation.”

”Wuwuwu~” Shimei hummed softly in grievance.

Nowadays, she was glum because Saintess Lunaria had become much more powerful, and she was unable to keep up. She was still in Level Nine Immortal Emperor Beast Stage, unable to advance because the Nine Lives Gracious Fox was a bloodline comparable to the Saint Beast Bloodline and not a Great Saint Beast Bloodline.

She would not be able to enter the Empyrean Stage unless her bloodline evolves.

”Easy.”

Davis said with utter confidence, ”If itʼs just King-Tier, then even I can do that, as I have learned Everlightʼs Bloodline Impelling Noble Evolution Technique.”

”What? Really?”

Saintess Lunaria looked at Davis in shock. Even after decoding Everlightʼs runes, she was unable to see through all the intricacies. Those particular runes didnʼt activate until Everlight used the Bloodline Impelling Regal Evolution Technique, so she never had the chance to comprehend it and even if she did, she didnʼt have those azure orbs that contained the secrets of bloodline purification.

Her specialty lay in healing and using that same healing technique for offense. As for something like evolution or mutation, she tended to rely on pills and, thereon, nurturing the target.

Meanwhile, Davis was truly smug.

If he hadnʼt learned the Bloodline Impelling Noble Evolution Technique, then he wouldnʼt even be able to come close to evolving the bloodline rank. After all, just being King-Tier ensures a magical beast can mutate and break past their bloodline limit to achieve a new bloodline rank.

Hence, learning Everlightʼs Bloodline Impelling Noble Evolution Technique paved the path for him to understand the intricacies behind bloodline rank improvement. He only needed time and enough experimentation to perfect it.

”I donʼt have much time as I need to return to my family. If Saintess Lunaria wants Shimei to reach King Tier, then the time is now. Iʼm unsure when we would meet again.”

Davis advised.

Hearing this, Saintess Lunaria seriously pondered before she looked at Shimei, appearing to be conversing with her through their beast pact.

Abruptly, Shimei ran to his side, hopping like a cute fox in her small form before she appeared before him and enlarged into a fox as tall as him.

”Iʼm in your care.”

Shimei uttered shyly, her innocent eyes dodging his gaze.

Davis couldnʼt help but find her funny. It seems that she wasnʼt good near men. He kept the delicious refreshment down and stood up and reached out his hands to hold her foxy cheeks while he placed both thumb fingers on her forehead where the core lay, checking the integrity of its structure.

She was healthy.

”Turn into a human and turn around while being seated. I need to forcibly purify the blood pumping from your heart, which allows the heart to pump out King-Tier Blood continuously and revitalize your entire body. This would take anywhere between two to five hours and would be immensely painful. Do I have your consent to start this treatment?”

Davis asked, his voice clear and professional as he looked at Shimei.

Shimei looked like she was at a loss. Her six tails waved a few times in the air before she nodded her head.

A white light flashed, and she turned into a human, her beauty practically making Davisʼs heart ache as she looked almost similar to Saintess Lunaria when he saw through the semi-transparent veil. Some magical beasts tended to take the form of their masters if they were tied from birth, so it wasnʼt something unusual.

He was mesmerized only for a moment before she sat down on a cushion nearby and closed her eyes, looking impatient and scared at the same time.

Davis also appeared behind her and sat. Although it was better to treat her in her magical beast state, his technique wasnʼt made to cover such a huge area. It was perfect for the human heart size, so Shimei had to accommodate his methods.

He looked at her willowy back. It was trembling, so he waited for some time for her to relax, saying nothing. Shimei finally relaxed, whereupon he asked.

”It is better to make bare contact with your skin as I need to reach your heart with maximum efficiency. Otherwise, donʼt blame me if it fails. Do I have your consent to touch?”

”Y-Yes…”

Shimei trembled. She was about to remove her clothes, her hands trembling, but Davis opened his mouth.

”Unneeded.”

He made a large circular incision near the left side of her robe with lightning energy and removed the torn cloth as he looked at her bare skin. Placing both his hands on her bare skin, he sent his senses into her heart and became aware of every fiber and pathway.

However, Shimei shuddered greatly upon being touched.

She looked at Saintess Lunaria in shock but clenched her teeth and closed her eyes as Davisʼs solemn voice fell.

”Then Iʼll begin.”

”Please make it as less painful as possible.” Saintess Lunaria uttered from the side, her voice full of worry.

”I will try.”

Davis nodded. He lied. Pain couldnʼt be avoided, and neither was he skillful enough to refine a heart without causing pain. He wondered if it was even possible.

His hands began brimming with a tremendous amount of life energy as he created an azure orb directly inside her heart. It was extremely tiny, but there were multiple of them, manifesting from the light energy he sent.

”…!”

The moment these orbs appeared, they began refining Shimeiʼs heart as they purified her blood and flesh.

”Nn…ahhhh!”

Shimei threw her head up and screamed in pain, her eyes turning bloodshot.

”Endure!”

Davis shouted as he forced his Will upon her, using Enigmatic Heart Laws and Life Laws to soothe her emotions. This also made Saintess Lunaria shudder. His growth was simply too fast if he had reached such a level already. Her heart churned with a lot of complicated emotions, unable to believe what she was doing with her time when he looked as though he already caught up.

Nonetheless, even she couldnʼt endure Shimeiʼs painful voice, causing her to bite her lips. She had never once heard Shimei make a cry like that, making her heart shudder.

”Master, trust him. It would be fine…”

However, Wix Voidfield appeared beside her and consoled her, causing her to nod.

She began to wait and watch closely as she also tried to learn the technique from Davis, although she couldnʼt understand how the internal technique went. It seemed to be a self-created technique based on Everlightʼs Bloodline Impelling Noble Evolution Technique.
