Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 3934  Variant Infernal Sunfire Crow

Soaren dived in with his huge body and crashed straight towards Davis with bloodshot eyes.

However, Davis was too fast. Right when he was going to be pierced through, his hands grabbed Soarenʼs beak, and with a weight proportional to that of the force that was going to pierce him, he threw Soaren up in the air and turned around to slam him.

*Bang!~*

Despite his little frame compared to the huge Infernal Sunfire Crow, Davis held down the Infernal Sunfire Crow with his bare arms. The force from his palms spread proportionally through the skill of yin property and suppressed the Infernal Sunfire Crow, even disallowing it to struggle.

As a Level Three Immortal Emperor, Davis easily held down a Level Three Immortal Emperor Beast.

Although the Infernal Sunfire Crow was powerful, it was not a match for him even when he wasnʼt in his prime.

He held it down with pure force and sent his soul sense inside its head, trying to find a semblance of Soaren inside its soul sea.

The egregious and painful refinement that Soaren went through couldʼve collapsed his soul sea at the worst if he couldnʼt endure, with the better outcome being he had only withdrawn his consciousness to protect his soul from collapsing.

”Soaren!”

Davis tried to call out to him in his soul sea, trying to wake him up.

Right now, he understood Soaren was nothing but a wild Infernal Sunfire Crow wildly attacking anything it sees.

As he continued to call out, he began using life energy to calm the struggling Infernal Sunfire Crow. His pure white light encompassed the bird fully, bringing a comfortable feeling to its enraged and fearful heart. Eventually, Davis was able to calm the Infernal Sunfire Crow down.

It took him ten minutes, but a few minutes later, the light in the Infernal Sunfire Crowʼs eyes finally returned.

”Wha-? What am I doing here?”

Soaren blinked.

The last he remembered was being refined to death within the cauldron, but now, he was in the void dust soil, his mind groggy. He slowly came back to himself and stood up, noticing the changes he had undergone.

He stood on his three legs as he spread his wings afar. They were predominantly golden, shimmering with a subtle sapphire tint catching the light like sparkling gemstones. These wings rippled with a sapphire-gold brilliance, creating a mesmerizing effect as they fanned out.

*Szzz~*

Dark blue-gold flames soared from its body and wings. The fire danced along its feathers, seemingly burning hotter with every movement Soaren made, yet unlike the explosive flames of the Golden Crow, these flames radiated a calm, serene power.

Soaren brought up his third leg, which was between his two legs. No, it was not a nuance. He brought the third leg up and checked his talons. They were sharp and strong, glimmering with an inner light as though they were forged from a dying star.

He then raised his golden-blue eyes, trying to see what happened to his crown.

With his senses, he saw a dark gold crown, a grand crest shimmering with a deep color of molten gold. It soared with flames and brimmed with intense annihilative heavenly yang energy, making him shudder. These flames were actually in his control right now. He could feel it, the extreme power behind it, not to mention the infallible aura.

For some reason, he got the confidence that these blue-gold flames would never fail him.

”Glad youʼre back.”

He heard Davisʼs voice and returned his gaze to him, blinking, ”Did I just go on a rampage?”

”You did, but youʼre not a match for me, so I easily subdued you and screamed at you to come back. What did you feel? How excruciating was the refinement process? Whatʼs the last thing you remember? How did you regain consciousness? Tell me all of it while theyʼre still fresh in your memories.”

Davis hit Soaren with a barrage of questions as he sat down and held an ink quill, looking ready to write down the records on a scroll.

Soarenʼs lips twitched.

”Itʼs so that our brothers can suffer less.”

”No, they have to go through the same refinement as me and suffer!”

Soaren cawed before he transformed into a golden-robed man with a new blue-gold hair adorning his head. He took out a mirror from his spatial ring and looked at himself, appearing satisfied with his new look before he sat down with Davis and began to tell everything he went through.

On the other hand, Davis chuckled at Soarenʼs words. If he could joke around, then all was good with his consciousness.

Davis felt relieved.

He was most worried about the soul since he had the confidence to allow the body to endure. Fortunately, he had refined many magical beasts in a cauldron to collect their blood essence, so he more or less knew the tipping point of the refinement.

Nonetheless, as Soaren recounted his experience, Davis recorded all of it and determined the success rate was only thirty percent.

This was too dangerous, but he only had this method to use at the time. Refine the resource with the user to forcefully combine the resource into the bloodline in order to guide the bloodline evolution to a particular path, and then add a catalyst such as the annihilative heavenly yang wisp before continuing with his evolution technique.

Davis then checked Soarenʼs health and saw that his regenerative prowess had already worked wonders on his body. It was especially the case since the body regenerated anew into an Infernal Sunfire Crow.

”Hahaha! Yes!!!”

Soaren flew around, destroying the mountains with his blue-gold flames before he descended again and cupped his hands, bowing to Davis.

”A word of thanks is useless. Feel free to use me as you like, brother!”

”I will.”

Davis nodded with a smile. He wasnʼt kidding as he was indeed having thoughts on how to proceed with the next bloodline rank, although that was far off from the point that he moved on.

He listened to Soaren go on and on about how this bloodline was lost to the times.

”The trade-off is that the Infernal Sunfire Crow are mostly born impotent, and they need to consume yang resources in order to counter their yin flames and give space for their seeds to be produced. Contrarily, the women were more fertile, so they ended up giving birth to Inferno Goldsky Crows, so the Infernal Sunfire Crows had gone extinct long ago, from what I know. However, with these heavenly yang flames aiding in my growth, I think I wouldnʼt be disadvantaged in that regard.”

Soaren chuckled, appearing refreshed.

On the other hand, Davis wryly smiled.

It was unknown what would happen if he introduced annihilated heavenly yang into his body. The worst that would happen is all his seeds were continuously annihilated, leaving him little chance to have progenies. After all, yin or yang-based attributes majorly affect oneʼs biological functions and even mental faculties.

His brother Soaren was a special case. He knew even Drake might be affected if his physique became corrupted with annihilative heavenly yang, but chances are that he could recover as the yang physique could restore itself and make the body much healthier.

On the other hand, because his body was tempered by chaos, he couldnʼt tell the end result because little was known about chaos.

Thatʼs why he still hadnʼt used annihilative heavenly yang wisps, not knowing what to do with it. At the same time, he was unsure if he should introduce Evelynn to annihilative heavenly poison.

Davis gazed at Soaren.

At this rate, he was making everyone a Divergent.

”You do understand the consequences of receiving my help to this level, which would also make you a Divergent, right? It is all the more severe since you have now digested annihilative heavenly yang and made your flames even more stronger.”

Davis asked Soaren.
