Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 3938  Teleportation Limit

”Thatʼs how it is…” Mingzhi explained to Davis how Stellaʼs body worked when she teleported realms.

”I see…”

Davis nodded.

”Of course, I can teleport any number of people, all the beings in every nook and cranny in my realm, to a realm in range as long as theyʼre weaker or willing.” Stella boasted.

She couldnʼt be any more proud as she placed her hands on her waist and lifted her face. It seemed as though her nose would pierce the heavens with how far she was looking.

”How many times?” Davis raised his brows.

”Uh…” Stella lowered her head, ”Only nine times per month, regardless of the number of entities teleported. They also should not exceed my own prowess by one or two major realms, I think, or I canʼt teleport… The inherited memories behind it are rather vague since I-Void Dust Trees usually donʼt act as a transport, much less allow other races to enter their realm as they pleased…”

”Understood. There are eight left for this month, but will this number grow in the future?”

”I donʼt know.” Stella shook her head, ”I may unlock more core memories upon reaching the Empyrean Stage.”

Davis nodded.

The teleportation technique Stella used was really not a teleportation technique. In essence, she shifted her surroundings from one realm to another using her true body and the vestige tree as anchors, so if the vestige was destroyed, it was possible she wouldnʼt be able to teleport here.

”Legion Master!”

At this moment, a few people arrived before him.

One of them was Captain Lightsky who left his avatar here to control the Flamerogue Poison Scorpion and keep an eye on the King-Tier Metaldaze Ant Queen and Emerald Spike Sandworm. He was here to make sure that they didnʼt act out of place and keep things as normal as possible.

”Reporting to Legion Master, thereʼs no strange movements in the Great Desolate Plains. All are normal according to the Emerald Spike Sandwormʼs swarm and the Metaldaze Ant Queenʼs colonies.”

”Very good.”

Davis nodded.

He looked at Captain Lightsky approvingly for choosing to stay back, just like Captain Praezen, who chose to leave his avatar with Autarch Metenoa. The Reaper Soul Legion wanted to do anything for him, but Davis was the one who restricted them because he also valued their lives.

They were the first or second line of defense for his family like they were royal guards, but they certainly were not a disposable force to him as they were actually the only ones who were unrelated to him yet chose to follow him as subordinates with all their heart and possessed extreme devotion, half the men wanting to sacrifice their lives for him and half the women even having a severe case of having a romantic fantasy with him.

He walked towards Captain Lightsky and patted his shoulder.

”Keep it up.”

Captain Lightsky couldnʼt look any more honored as he smiled brightly and nodded.

Davis looked forward, and Captain Lightsky moved out of his way, revealing two men and a woman.

They were none other than the Flamerogue Poison Scorpion, Emerald Spike Sandwormʼs leader, and the Metaldaze Ant Queen. They were left behind in order to not disturb the ecosystem. Otherwise, the Highnode Town or other experts might notice something was wrong and may even issue a research or treasure hunt party.

Thinking of Highnode Town, Davis remembered its Town Lordʼs wife being poisoned. He wondered if he could make the other party his ally by saving his wife and gaining a relevant foothold here that would help him know about dangers way earlier than relying on wild magical beasts. Clara also told the Highnode Townʼs Commander that she would do something about it, which meant it was up to him to see what he could do now that she was no longer here.

However, the problem was that he would be exposing himself. Then again, he knew the Town Lord was depressed and probably would do anything to save his wife, so there might be a chance that he could gain the other partyʼs loyalty even if he himself was the devil.

”Have you all been behaving?”

Davis questioned with his eyes narrowed.

The three magical beasts shuddered as they felt like they had been dropped into the abyss, even though they had experienced traversing underground. They sensed that he was now an Immortal Emperor, but the pressure he gave off was much more severe and deadlier than that of their own masters.

It made sense because their masters adored and worshiped him.

”Yes, we are obedient mounts, grandmaster.”

The golden ant queen responded, and the other two also said similar words, causing Davis to nod.

”Work hard. If you continue to rake up contribution points for your masters, I will allow you all to evolve and reach the Empyrean Beast Stage.”

”!!!”

The three of them were shocked, but Davis left them hanging as he flew past them. The others also followed him, leaving them with Captain Lightsky.

”I told you all. Legion Master is benevolent. As long as you keep his family safe and work hard to monitor danger, everything you wanted regarding cultivation would come your way.”

Captain Lightsky goaded them with a smirk, causing them to be full of excitement as they looked at each other.

The golden ant queen could already enter the Empyrean Stage since she was at King-Tier. However, the slave beast pact imposed a restriction on her, so she wouldnʼt be able to break through. Getting permission to reach the Empyrean Beast Stage was alone enough for her to rejoice.

Her master, Tina, was also extremely powerful, so she was already devoted.

Davis and the others were about to exit the realm, but he turned to look at Stella.

”Do you know whatʼs going on in the First Void Dust Sanctuary? I mean, can you send information back and forth without interruption?”

Stella shook her head, ”I can send information to my vestige body, but that would also use up a chance for teleportation. Donʼt worry. If something dangerous happens, I will use one of the eight remaining chances to exchange information without fail.”

”Perfect.”

Davis nodded with a satisfied smile. Although Stella was childish, she was extremely territorial and, hence, would also know how to take care of her own realm and guard against dangers. He could even say it was an innate gift.

He was also not worried since his avatar was still there, and Myria possessed the fragment of Fallen Heaven. He didnʼt take it back because he trusted her to use it when the time came. They also had Nyoran to escape to the Nether Dimension should they be besieged.

”Alright, letʼs move out.”

Davis and the others exited.

When he appeared outside in the vast, scorching desert, he moved away from the area and took out a messaging talisman to contact Captain Praezenʼs avatar who was with Autarch Metenoa.
