Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 2696 Instructing Them

Knowing nothing of the short yet space-tumbling battle that occurred between the Aurora Cloud Gate and the Godwin Family, Davis got out of the carriage and made his way inside the mansion with a rabid smile on his face.

Stella Voidfield was about to follow him, but both Natalya and Tanya captured her wrists, telling her that theyʼll bring her to another place to play. The innocent little tree was confused, but she acquiesced the next moment, causing them to bring her somewhere else.

Davis stepped into the mansionʼs large hall, once again finding himself inhaling a lot of aromatic fragrances that made him feel like he was in a garden of roses, except the suppressed flame burning inside his lower body made him want to water those flowers with his vitality.

He walked straight to someone and grabbed her soft hands, causing everyone else to sigh.

”I knew it.”

”No matter what… itʼs always the first wife.”

”Iʼm jealous...”

Isabella, Mingzhi, and Shirley commented with wry smiles, but they didnʼt seem particularly offended, and neither did Zestria, Sophie, and Niera, who didnʼt comment.

Evelynn gazed at Davisʼs eyes with boundless love filling her heart. She didnʼt think she would be selected as she knew she held the first place in spending the most time with him on the bed. After all, she was with him for almost half his life as Davis Loret.

”Donʼt worry, my beauties. In truth, I couldʼve decided on anyone with how you all look beautiful, but my decision comes from the fact that I canʼt let Evelynn remain childless when I already have four children. Itʼs not justified for her not to become a mother, so I want to badly impregnate her.”

”…”

Davis revealed his intentions without a single ounce of shame while saying those words, causing Evelynnʼs cheeks to redden while the others also grinned, possessing a healthy hue on their faces. With every single one of them unveiled in the home, their beautiful faces practically made the mansion appear like a heavenly abode filled with fairies.

”Then what are you waiting for? Give us an heir to the Davis Family.”

”The true heir.”

Isabella and Shirley smiled, causing Evelynn to be stunned. She shook her head, not wanting to decide on that based on seniority but on merit.

”No-”

”Thereʼs no heir, much less a true heir.”

She was about to say something when Davis turned to look at everyone, his voice churning from being passionate to solemn.

”Thereʼs no Crown Prince. Thereʼs no Young Master. Iʼll tell you that every child of mine will be equal to one another, regardless of their cultivation and prowess. Their status in our hearts should remain the same and should only drop if they engage in evil or manipulative activities that cause one of us to act evil. Do you all understand?”

”…”

Evelynn and the others became stunned at his words. However, Mingzhi stepped forward and looked at him with a sly look on her beautiful face.

”You know thatʼs ideal but unrealistic, right?”

”Certainly.” Davis smiled at her, ”The fact that Iʼm trying to love you all the same as possible is unrealistic as well but arenʼt I striving for it?”

Mingzhiʼs lips curled as she used something at this moment, but with experience, Davis quickly understood that his emotions were being pried open.

”Oh? Youʼve attained Level One Enigmatic Heart Laws, Mingzhi?”

He was shocked at her quick improvement in comprehending Enigmatic Heart Laws. Perhaps, she would soon catch up to him?

Nonetheless, his shocked expression couldnʼt help but turn into a grin as he appeared before her and held her soft hands, looking into her black eyes with his sapphire pupils that were deeply attractive.

”Then you should know what Iʼm feeling right now. Is my love any less than what you felt before while I was holding Evelynnʼs hands?”

”…”

Mingzhi smiled but hearing his words, she became dumbfounded because it was indeed the same. The love he held for Evelynn and for her possessed very little difference that she couldnʼt even perceive it as a difference with her heartʼs intent.

It truly dumbfounded her, and her reaction caused the others to also smile delightfully.

For Mingzhi to look stumped, they knew what Davis was stating was right!

Mingzhiʼs cheeks turned crimson, that she couldnʼt help but flick his hands away.

”You win… but your lust is bigger right now!”

”Haha, donʼt blame me for that.” Davis turned around and panned his gaze, ”Blame the women who gave me yang supplements to make me vigorous and virile.”

”Huh?”

Mingzhi became confused but looking at Evelynn and the others guiltily looking away, she gawked.

”You… all… I didnʼt think you were all naughtier than me. I take back my previous words. You all are not cowards. Youʼre all daring women who wonʼt hesitate to tie him up and forcefully take his seed from him.”

”Mingzhi!”

Evelynn and the others became extremely embarrassed, looking guilty as charged, while Mingzhi grinned, seemingly delighted to have found some comrades.

”Ah, leave it.” Davis waved his hand, ʼSometimes, the pressure of having to grow and protect the family will keep me busy, disallowing me to take care of my beauties. Iʼd rather they drug me than lie that theyʼre not suffering silently because I know theyʼre all good wives Iʼve, and theyʼve chosen for me.”

”Darling…” Evelynn and the others became moved.

They were indeed feeling guilty for what they did, but they also thought if they didnʼt do that, he would keep cultivating and that they would miss the chance. Even if they were not abandoned, the fear of somehow becoming distant was real for them as they were competing for him with many women by their side.

”Damn, youʼre scoring brownie points without using heart intent...” Mingzhi was flabbergasted as she sensed their vulnerable emotions crave him, but the mindboggling thing for her was Davis was not using heart intent, causing her to feel his sincerity that couldnʼt be picked up by heart intent as that was subtle.

”You thought I always used it?”

Davis chuckled as he shook his head before looking at the others.

”Everyone, I know you would all favor your child over the other. I donʼt blame you a single bit for that, as thatʼs what mothers innately would and should do. However, for our childrenʼs status, when considered from the overall social construct of the family, remember that they should be the same from the moment theyʼre born. I hope you can all understand this and convey this ideology to the others who are not present here.”

”We understand~”

Evelynn echoed loudly, followed by the others.

”That said…”

Davis once again took a look at them, ”Try to wake up everyone from seclusion as weʼre going to go shopping for resources soon. I imagine a lot of those treasures are going to be quickly swiped off the shelves if we donʼt react swiftly.”

”Iʼve also told Tanya to procure Heaven Immortal Soul Pill ingredients for our Reaper Soul Legion. Does anyone have any objections?”

Davis turned to look at Isabella and Shirley as they would be the ones most influential among the Reaper Soul Legion.

However, Mingzhi raised her hand, causing him to nod at her.

”No. The legion members are all respectful. I provoked a few of them on purpose, but they seem to know their place as subordinates, alright. Moreover, theyʼre loyal to you to some degree as well, so I reckon we can spend resources on them with a bit of trust.”

”…” Davis finally knew how Mingzhiʼs Enigmatic Heart Intent improved. So she had toyed them to death.

”What do you mean by some degree though?”

Mingzhi appeared solemn, ”I asked them if they would prioritize saving your child or their children if at all they had one when danger strikes.”

”…” Davis blinked, ʼYup, she definitely toyed them to death.ʼ

That said, if the members of the Reaper Soul Legion prioritized his children over their children, he might be moved but would definitely look down on them as he would reckon that they got their priorities wrong.

However, judging by how Mingzhi mentioned them, he knew they answered that they would prioritize their children over his children.

That made him feel they were honest and sincere in their loyalty to him, as lying wouldʼve earned Mingzhiʼs contempt. Moreover, Mingzhi wasnʼt someone who would hide or hesitate to tell what she felt, so he figured that he could strongly trust her judgment.

”And then…”

Davis suppressed his desire for a few more minutes and instructed a few more things, not forgetting to take care of some things that wouldnʼt move without his permission. Finally, he handed over the life ring he had to Isabella and gave a bit of introduction about Mystic Diviner Hailac, telling her that she was an ally who could slightly be trusted and would eventually teach Tia divination arts.

Isabella nodded and took the life ring, inspecting it before she found a sleeping beauty. Her eyes couldnʼt help but flicker, her upturned eyes gazing at Davis with a hint of amusement. However, she didnʼt say anything but was shocked by his next words instead.

”Shirley, use Tanyaʼs help to investigate Mystic Diviner Hailacʼs background. I want to make sure nothing is strange.”

”Alright.”

Shirley solemnly nodded before Davis turned to look at Zestria.

”As for you… youʼre next.”

”Yes… what!?”

Zestria became stunned, her expression reeling in disbelief while Davis smiled and brought Evelynn away along with him, leaving behind a bunch of women staring at Zestria with wide eyes.

”I swear I didnʼt do anything...”

Zestria raised the white flag, but the others surrounded her and carried her away to… dress her up.
