Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 2677 Meeting The Inheritors

Davis and a few other people sat at a circular table. There were six people seated, with two on one side and four on the other.

As for Elder Aradiel Furiose, he stood between them to the side, still standing and appearing rather neutral. But as for the other Immortal Emperors of the Fire Phoenix Clan and the Earth Dragon Clan, they sat on the other side, still dining on a sumptuous feast as though they didnʼt care, but in truth, all their gaze was on the round table while their hands and mouth were still grabbing some meat and munching on it.

However, if they wanted to make a move, they could forget about it as a formation was separating them.

Hence, Davis knew he was in little to no danger unless someone pulled a suicidal move here but looking at the four people before him, he figured that wouldnʼt happen.

For some time, they didnʼt talk but simply stared at each other as though sizing up. It was only after a minute did a voice echoed out.

”If thereʼs nothing to say, weʼll take our leave.”

Tanya opened her mouth behind her icy-blue veil. Her beautifully sculpted body stood up, intending to turn around and leave. Davis also stood up when someone on the other side reached out their hand.

”Wait. Donʼt be so impatient.” The Earth Dragon Patriarch, Klavius Rocksunder, said with some poise.

”One minute and twenty seconds… that was some good amount of patience you have there. You can definitely control yourself.”

Great Ancestor Zenflame kept his elbows on the table and rested his chin on the back of his hands, appearing to give a languid smile.

”…” Davis was honestly tired to comment, causing him to scoff lightly. A little bit of sleep still wouldnʼt help him relieve the exhaustion of dealing with so many Unfettered Ice Fiends.

Great Ancestor Zenflame then stood up, gesturing with his hands.

”First of all, let me introduce myself. I am the founder of the Fire Phoenix Clan in the First Haven World, Zenflame. The other two over there who are waiting to talk to you are the second and third inheritors, Hirona and Sierra.”

Davis turned to look at the two women to the side. Their face was covered in a red veil, but despite that piece of cloth hiding their features, he could tell that they were beauties with his experience, not to mention that their bosoms were voluptuous and they had this haughty gaze in their eyes that indicated their dauntless pride but their gaze to him was one of curiosity rather than animosity.

”Similarly, I am the founder of the Earth Dragon Clan, Rocksunder, and they are the second and third inheritors, Crystia and Noctis.”

Davis turned to look at the golden-robed man with suave features on his face. He was the kind of wild that resembled Nyx Godwin but also commanded the respect that Nyx Godwin didnʼt have as he possessed the majestic presence of a dragon.

His gaze then moved to Hirona and Sierraʼs direction and fell on Crystia and Noctis.

The six of them combined together really did give him immense pressure that he knew that if it werenʼt for Elder Aradiel Furiose watching over him, they could crush him easily.

Davis nodded to the four of them before being seated while Tanya also followed suit.

”Letʼs get to the point then, as Iʼm really tired from clearing a… difficult mission.”

”Mhm. I heard. You also apparently killed one of our disciples called Egon Zenflame?”

Patriarch Killian Zenflame raised his brows with a smile, causing everyone to frown.

”Do you have the evidence for that?” Davis couldnʼt help but chuckle.

”I donʼt, but my sources say you have to pass by that particular tunnel to reach an inheritance spot. Am I wrong?”

”Yes.”

”What?” Patriarch Killian Zenflame frowned.

”There were two ways, not one.” Davis looked at him mockingly, ”Next question, please. I donʼt have time all day.”

Patriarch Killian Zenflame had his eyes narrowed. But before he could speak, a hand appeared on his shoulder.

”Killian. Next time, ask before speaking up. Do you understand?”

Great Ancestor Zenflameʼs eyes flickered at him, causing his brows to twitch before he lightly nodded.

”Yes.

Great Ancestor Zenflame nodded and turned to look at Davis with a lazy smile.

”We got some hindrances before we got to the main topic, but what Iʼm going to say would already be known to you. You got our fourth inheritors by chance, a mere Divergentʼs whim. Why do I say this? Because these women you love are karmically tied to our clans, finding love outside is such a rare occurrence. This is not an opinion but a fact made from the statistics the powers have gathered over time.”

Davis couldnʼt help but smile, nodding as he agreed with them, ”I didnʼt disprove that as I also have the Fire Phoenix and Earth Dragon Blood in my body.”

”Really? Then why canʼt I sense it?”

”Because Iʼve digested it completely to make my body stronger.”

Davis reclined on the chair, and when he did so, his aura at Level Five Immortal Stage burst forth, causing Great Ancestor Zenflame and a few othersʼ eyes to flicker.

”Your dragon and phoenix aura is weak...” However, Great Ancestor Rocksunder commented with some suspicion.

Just when they thought it could be fake, Davis nodded his head.

”Indeed, this is just the remnant aura from what is left after using my unique cultivation method, which I wouldnʼt go into detail.”

”I see.” Great Ancestor Zenflame seemed a bit disappointed, ”Still, things wouldʼve been easier if you just carried one kind of blood one in you.”

”Thatʼs not good. But if that was truly the case, I would hope that he has the Earth Dragon Blood.”

”Ahaha. Rocksunder, you canʼt be sneaky on this matter. Be a dragon and try to win him over fair and square.”

”Sigh… I would be motivated if he were a woman, sigh.

Great Ancestor Rocksunder shook his head and sighed twice, seemingly disappointed as well.

”…” It caused Patriarch Klavius Rocksunderʼs brows to twitch.

It was said that the Great Ancestor enjoyed great company from women as he literally impregnated hundreds of them, kick-starting the golden age for the Earth Dragon Clan. Although it was the case for other clans as well, it was kind of overkill for their Earth Dragon Clan in a way, as it was rumored that he had thousands of sons and daughters.

However, no one could confirm the veracity of that rumor. But still, he couldnʼt help but feel some worship as for a dragon-blood human with a high purity level, that was pretty amazing and could even be said to be a miracle.

On the other hand, Davis seemed unamused.

To Davis, their expressions really made him wonder if they did come with sincerity or not, but he suddenly saw their face turn solemn.
