Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 2648 Disaster?

Mystic Diviner Hailacʼs pupilless eyes were wide as she watched the scene of utter destruction. As soon as the Unfettered Gargantuan Ice Fiendʼs six fists struck the ground instantaneously, the surface cracked all the way to the vent and caused everything around it in a five-hundred-meter radius to collapse.

Her lips quivered in horror, looking at the disappearing figures of Davis and everyone else, and it became even more panic-stricken as she saw the Unfettered Gargantuan Ice Fiend lay its giant, sinister eyes over them, its thick lips curving into a wicked grin.

”WAH!”

Its heavy, screeching voice resounded across the hive, jumping towards them as it flew, creating tumultuous winds to blow amidst the icy cyclone.

”...!” Many at the forefront instantly crushed their spatial talismans, thinking that they had better chances of survival when it came to their luck as they were all heavenly geniuses loved by heaven and earth.

”What are you doing!? Come!”

Mystic Diviner Hailac appeared out of her reverie as she was suddenly dragged by the collar by a crimson-robed woman. She turned to look at her and vaguely recognized that she was part of the Fire Phoenix Clan, which the Emperor of Death was in confrontation with.

However, she wasnʼt in a position to be doing anything, much less resist, as she was in an utterly weak state.

Quickly, they rushed further into the tunnel entrance, fleeing deeper while making their way out.

”WAHAHAHA!”

The Unfettered Gargantuan Ice Fiend laughed in a sinister tone as it pulled all six of its fist back, landing right before the narrow tunnel entrance before it unleashed its six fists.

*Boom!~*

A massive icy wave surged as it rushed into the tunnel, which everyone was fleeing in, trying to encase them in ice.𝑓𝐫ℯe𝒘𝚎𝘣𝚗𝘰𝘷𝐞𝘭.co𝐦

”Not good!”

Everyoneʼs gaze froze as they hurriedly took out their life-saving spatial talismans, intending to escape like the people before. However, they were horrified to find that space was also locked by the overwhelming Level Seven Immortal King Stage prowess in the enclosed space, causing despair to rock their hearts.

Zahara turned around and clenched her fists, returning her gaze to Mystic Diviner Hailac, ”Sorry. I may not be able to save you after all.”

Mystic Diviner Hailacʼs expression couldnʼt help but become dull, lightly sighing, ”I shouldʼve listened to him and not come here.”

Just as the icy tsunami was going to envelop them, a streak of icy light emerged before them and spun in a circle, blocking the icy wave.

*Bang!*

The two powers fought for supremacy, not giving an inch as they pushed against each other.

”That is... a sword...”

Mystic Diviner Hailacʼs eyes went wide as she raised her chin and looked above, gazing at an icy-white-robed woman with lush black hair dancing in the icy breeze. Her hand was stretched out, her two fingers shaped into a sword as she held the line.

”Tanya!”

Mystic Diviner Hailac instantly recognized the person. She already had her doubt when she felt her aura-

”Wait... What!? An Immortal King!?” She sucked in a cold breath as she looked at the woman who was weaker than her just a day ago.

”Davis...”

Tanyaʼs eyes were frigid cold despite her voice echoing with worry. Her senses that had swept through first couldnʼt find him in the tunnel or the hive, causing her to clench her teeth behind her veil as she came to understand that she was a bit too late. Subsequently, her heart seethed with hatred against the foe before her.

”Kill!”

The icy sword spinning in a clockwise direction and creating an icy barrier, abruptly exploded, shooting toward the Unfettered Gargantuan Ice Fiend like a cold meteor.

The Unfettered Gargantuan Ice Fiend was grinning as it pumped its ice energy into the tunnel without stopping. But at this moment, its expression changed as it hurriedly formed huge ice spears in its four hands while still holding the line with two fists.

*Clang!~*

A ray of icy light abruptly struck its icy spear, causing its giant icy rod to shatter, leaving the blade falling down like a ruined structure. Still, the icy glare shuttled onwards, trying to pierce its giant body, but it instantly moved three of its hands, allowing it to maneuver the icy spears to be able to block the lightʼs path.

*Bang!~*

Two of the three icy spears broke as it was pushed back, causing them to retreat a few steps back, which made booming sounds as they came to a stop. Raising its head, its sinister gaze flickered at the tiny woman in front of it flying in the air, controlling an array of icy swords that released a frigid and chilling aura as they circled around her.

In a barren, icy tunnel, the atmosphere was frigid, and it was eerily silent. Blue crystal light shone, lightning up this abandoned tunnel.

*Whoosh!~*

At this moment, a spatial vortex appeared out of nowhere silently, spitting out a purple-robed man with blonde hair. He was grasping a womanʼs hand, stepping out of the spatial vortex in a hurry before he landed on the ground.

Instantly, his senses were kept within his body as he panned his gaze around, wondering where they had arrived and if they had been discovered by something. The next moment, he confirmed that there wasnʼt anything wrong with the environment, nor was there anyone to be wary of.

”Sigh, I didnʼt expect the Unfettered Behemoth Ice Fiend to make a move in that state. I-”

*Thud~*

Davis relaxed as he plopped his butt and let go of Myriaʼs hand. However, it simply made a sound as the hand hit the icy surface, becoming encased in ice slowly.

”...!”

Davis instantly grabbed the hand from the icy floor with both hands, his pupils becoming wide with shock.

”When!?”

What he had been holding was Myriaʼs severed hand! In his hand, she was weightless as a feather, as she didnʼt resist. However, he was freaking positive that he had her up until before being sucked in by the spatial vortex.

What had just happened!?
