Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 2658 Struck By Fate

”The time has come.” A purple-robed woman with a voluptuous figure spoke in a sexy voice.

”So quickly?”

A crimson-robed, icy-crimson-haired beauty squinted her brows, appearing to frown.

”It doesnʼt matter.” Another beauty who wore a golden robe cast a confident smile, ”I presume that this information has directly been transmitted to us through some kind of karmic connection we have with the inheritance, so our emperor must be unaware. Letʼs inform him.”

”I agree.”

The other two nodded, quickly calling a black-robed woman who appeared in front of them like a ghost. Regardless, they werenʼt intimidated by the pressure but, instead, even seemed to exude a similar pressure as they explained the situation to her, causing the black-robed womanʼs eyes to widen.

”Such a thing happened?”

”Indeed. Make sure you inform husband, Nadia.”

”Will do.”

Nadia solemnly nodded at Evelynn, Isabella, and Shirley.

”Hmm?” Suddenly, Shirley narrowed her brows as she sensed something spying on her.

The other three also looked at her, their eyes narrowing when abruptly Isabellaʼs eyes flickered, having a clue of what was going on.

”Quick! Bring the Inheritor Tracing Formation. It must be our last inheritor! Our Ice Phoenix Clan has finally gained another pillar.”

In another location, countless immortals became abuzz. The cold yet proud phoenixes also revealed excited looks despite their indifferent countenance, quickly moving around to gather in the hall.

At the same time, the Inheritor Tracing Formation, which could be only activated once in a period of time, was brought into the hall and activated.

”This…” An elderʼs eyes flickered with joy, but it quickly turned into uncertainty, ”Our inheritor has finally come, but… the trail leads to west… near to the Aurora Cloud Gateʼs Domain...”

”Or inside…”

The Ice Phoenix Mistressʼs expression became frosty, causing the others to become stumped by her guess.

”Hmm… is this another trail…? Wait. Why are there two trails detectable by the Inheritor Tracing Formation? Has it gone bad?”

That elder said with confusion reeling in his eyes, causing the Ice Phoenix Mistress and everyoneʼs eyes to squint.

”Two?”

=========

”Letʼs go. Our inheritors must be awakening from the Heavenly Ice Stasis Valley.”

”Yes!”

Similarly, the entire First Haven World started to quiver over this event as millions of years had gone by waiting for it to finally start. Countless old fogies began breaking down, crying with excitement and uttering praises to their ancestors for guarding their powers and bringing them to a level where they were in a good position to still be in competition.

After all, so many powers partaking in the Candidacy faded away, but they were still alive and well.

Now, they could finally face what they had been sent millions of years ago. Countless generations ascended or died in the passing of time, but now, their generation was gifted with the opportunity to behold the sight of an era-shaking event, one that tied the fate of both this world and the immortal world.

They were of thought that they could now die without regrets!

”…”

Davis looked at Yi Feng with some incredulity in his eyes, still wondering what that voice was. It echoed as though it was genderless, causing him to wonder if it was that damned Unfettered Behemoth Ice Fiend playing mind games on him.

”Master.”

At this moment, Nadiaʼs voice resounded in his soul sea, causing him to respond.

”What is it, Nadia?”

”Master. Evelynn, Isabella, and Shirley have said that they experienced...”

Nadia quickly informed Davis what went on in the last few seconds, causing Davis to become shocked. A moment later, he thanked Nadia and turned to look at Yi Feng once again, believing his words.

A spacequake was similar to an earthquake in many aspects. Both resulted in destruction and shifted landscapes. However, one sundered the surface and the other devoured space, yet both of them have one thing in common, that is when the plates beneath the surface moves, it gives birth to new forms of land or even islands.

In the same way, spacequakes not only engulfs everything within it into destruction, but it also possesses strange cases of leaving behind spatial cracks, a path to another area, a mini-realm formed from the black point, and many other spatial anomalies but most importantly, spit out something that it engulfed instead of destroying it.

It was said that this only happens when two spacequakes coincide or occur simultaneously.

Davis didnʼt really know the specifics, but after hearing Nadiaʼs account, he was finally able to piece the puzzles together and understood what the hell went on.

ʼReally…? I just used Fallen Heaven to kill a simple Level Four Immortal King Unfettered Ice Fiend that I could kill with my own power, but the result was this…?ʼ

The sudden occurrence of the spacequake… even if it failed to reap their lives… still delivered them a present in the form of Yi Feng, the last immortal inheritor candidate who has yet to reach adulthood, much less perfect all three of his cultivations.

Fate literally broke the rule of ascendance set by the world master because he had used Fallen Heavenʼs utmost powers.

First, it used the unpredictability of spacequakes against him, almost causing him to die.

Lastly, it brought him Yi Feng, who was supposed to be the last inheritor. Looking at his age, Davis could tell that he was obviously going to spend at least the next ten years chilling in his power, but now, it forcefully sent him here, starting the Candidacy.

All this for what? To freaking force and corner him and his powerful family into more dangerous situations until they all died?

ʼFuck. Now the Ice Phoenix Clan comes searching for their inheritor, which is also Shirley...ʼ

Besides, he also knew since the Candidacy was announced, the Fire Phoenix Clan and the Earth Dragon Clan would possibly no longer be quiet about their altercation and come at him with full force.

Davis turned to look around, noticing that Tanya, Myria, and Stella Voidfield were recovering. Still, his eyes couldnʼt help but fall on Myria. She had offended the Godwin Family as well, which made him think that this entire sequence was not a coincidence.

Perhaps, if Stella Voidfield, another Divergent, hadnʼt arrived on this playing field, they might not have survived today or found it even more difficult to clear this mission even if they had survived, causing the region to explode.

ʼFire Phoenix Clan, Earth Dragon Clan, and the Godwin Family. Perhaps, the Ice Phoenix Clan as well...ʼ

Davis imagined what the future would be like after exiting the Mercurial Blitz Ice Valley.

It was going to be a matter of life and death when they met outside, as these powers would be reserving their forces and resources fully to retrieve whatʼs theirs by karma and revenge.
