Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 2661 Exiting The Sinkhole

”You utter moron. How dare you accuse someone without evidence again?”

While everyone was shocked over Mystic Diviner Rakestreamʼs accusation that Nyx Godwin was killed, Mystic Diviner Hailac stepped from Flameroseʼs side and demanded with an angered expression on her face.

Even if Nyx Godwin had died, they had seen him disappear using a spatial talisman, so how could it be Fairy Myriaʼs fault? It couldnʼt be that he was going to say it was because of the plan she had made to diffuse the source, right?

That would be too moronic and unreasonable that she instantly flared in anger. She already didnʼt like him, but now, she hated him to her core.

”Evidence?”

Mystic Diviner Rakestreamʼs eyes were red. He sneered and as he waved his hand.

”The Godwin Family just personally sent word to the Aurora Cloud Gate, and I was approached by a Law Enforcement Elder outside for questioning. That Elder was the one who said Myria had killed Nyx Godwin. Besides, what evidence do I need when she was caught red-handed at the place of Nyx Godwinʼs resting place by Nyx Godwinʼs grandfather himself, who emerged from his corpse after his death!”

”...!”

Seeing Mystic Diviner Rakestreamʼs mouth roll and spit sprinkling out in a fury, not only Mystic Diviner Hailac but everyone became stunned again.

These allegations were unbelievable! Fairy Myria, a woman who was not even in the top fifty. However, they witnessed her powers and skill and would definitely put her among the top ten. However, she killed Nyx Godwin, the immortal of destruction, who was going to be crowned a title as soon as he stepped into the Immortal King Stage.

Just how can that be possible?

Rea Tyriel was also confused beyond her imagination. She had been just talking with Davis about how Nyx Godwin was an individual he needed to be careful of, but he was apparently dead now.

What kind of twist was this?

She momentarily blanked out. After all, the person she least expected to die in this expedition was Nyx Godwin. Despite his unpleasant attitude, he was still the Young Master of the Godwin Family, so for him to die in this place was pouring a bucket of cold water on her head, especially as she had just bragged about how she couldnʼt be killed easily.

It was flipping her worldview, enlarging her horizons.

Davis had his gaze narrowed at Mystic Diviner Rakestream.

Looks like this idiot truly wanted to become a retard. Just as he took a step forward, he caused Mystic Diviner Rakestream to flinch and quickly hide behind his group.

This one reaction told what he needed to know about this coward, causing Davis to sneer.

”Indeed. It was I who killed Nyx Godwin.”

However, just before he could say anything, Myria opened her mouth and came clean, causing everyoneʼs expression to change.

So it was really true that she killed Nyx Godwin!?

They couldnʼt help but look at her with shock, wondering how she had done it. After all, no amount of truth would deny the fact that Nyx Godwin was vastly superior to Fairy Myria in both cultivation base and prowess.

Myria then no longer bothered to stay as she left them with that piece of information. As she passed by, everyone distanced themselves from her like she was a plague, their expressions filled with shock. Her aloof eyes gleaming with piercing coldness only made them inclined to believe that she really killed Nyx Godwin.

Davis shook his head and continued following her.

But just as he took a step forward, he waved his hand, causing a shockwave to emerge and hit Mystic Diviner Rakestream and his group, causing them to fly and smash into the wall. Screams of pain echoed in the tunnel as they raised their voices to the fullest as though they were afraid that they were being murdered.

However, Davis didnʼt attack them again, leaving them looking like fools. Some people even excitedly took out an Imagery Crystal and started recording the scene. Their expressions were full of amusement and schadenfreude, wanting to see a bloodbath. However, it was unknown which side they wished to come out on top, or perhaps, they wished for both parties to destroy each other so that they could come out on top.

Either way, Davis and the others left. No one dared to stop them, not especially when an Immortal King was together with them.

”Tanya, did you completely receive the inheritance?”

”Yes. I have it all here.”

Tanya displayed a ring to Davis as her eyes squinted with delight. Obviously, she was prideful to have obtained the inheritance.

Davis nodded, sucking in a breath of cold air. He was interested to see what the Frostcloud Sword Empress had given her personal disciple but knew now was not the time to be checking when their life was at risk.

”Ellia, grab this and keep track of Myriaʼs whereabouts. Make sure she doesnʼt leave anywhere.”

Davis reached out his hand and placed something on Elliaʼs palms which she subconsciously lifted to hold, only to see a severed hand that caused her heart to almost leap. She was shocked but then deemed that it must be the aftermath of the battle between Nyx Godwin and her mother.

”Quickly keep it inside before she takes it.”

Davis warned, causing her to instantly store it in her spatial ring.

On the other hand, Myria only cast them a glance. She didnʼt say anything contrary to his expectation, continuing to lead the way. This made Davis wonder what was wrong with her as she was eerily silent.

On the way, Ellia asked for specifics and then truly got to know what occurred. There was a burst of killing intent in her eyes.

Anyone who harassed her mother must die without a doubt, or so Davis knew thatʼs what she would say as he had exchanged a bit of intimate knowledge with her on the day he took her.

Soon, Davis and the others traced back their path and appeared outside the sinkhole they had first entered, finally arriving at the surface of the Mercurial Blitz Ice Valley, where the Aurora Cloud Gate had first transported them. Here, the frostiness of the atmosphere became slightly more tolerable than before, perhaps because the windy vent was no longer as torrential as before.

The source of the calamity, the cluster of impure Ice Essence Orbs, was taken away, leaving behind an extraordinary breeze and a slight amount of chill. However, the people who remained here felt chilled to the core as they witnessed the sight of a few individuals descending.

”True Disciple Myria, you are hereby under arrest for murdering Nyx Godwin. Obediently come with us so that we may give you a fair chance in proving yourself innocent, or if you are intent on resisting, donʼt blame us for having to take severe action.”

Davis looked at three middle-aged men descend, all wearing different robes, but their affiliation seemed to be the same as their emblems matched, having a sword slicing through the azure clouds.

They were Law Enforcement Elders similar to Elder Aradiel Furiose!

Seeing such a line-up, Davis came to understand that this matter had truly rattled the Aurora Cloud Gateʼs higher-ups. Otherwise, there was no way three of such powerful Immortal Emperors wouldʼve appeared here.
