Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 2645 Breaking Open

Myria was flying in the airspace of the hive, unhindered, as four top disciples somehow chose to help her make her way to the epicenter.

The only hindrances she actually encountered were Level Four Unfettered Ice Fiends that were not easily killable within one shot. However, with her comprehension of Light Laws, she could even make herself invisible with light deflection and refraction, allowing light to pass through her without causing interference to the environment.

As soon as she dodged them with her transparent movement technique, she would be barraged by the four true disciples behind her simultaneously, causing them to die. As for whether it turned into a fountain of blood, had its body split apart, or evaporated into oblivion, that depended on who struck it first.

*Krkrk!~*

The sound of ice forming and fusing into something huge could be heard, causing the five of them to turn and look to the side where they had sensed the aura of the Emperor of Death disappearing within their senses.

”Thatʼs not good.” Garoe Rynn couldnʼt help but narrow his brows, thinking that Davis was going to be barraged to death.

”Youʼre not going to help him…?”

Rea Tyriel couldnʼt help but look at Myria. She could instantly tell the situation was dire for him.

The others also looked at her, but they could only see an indifferent expression remain on her face.

Myria didnʼt instantly reply as she gazed at the icy dome that appeared in the middle of nowhere. After a few seconds, she turned her head away, resuming her flight speed.

”Forget it. Itʼs useless.”

”…”

Rea Tyriel couldnʼt help but frown. Looks like they werenʼt closer than she thought.

On the other hand, Nyx Godwinʼs lips curled. He looked at her fluttering robe, seemingly nodding in approval. However, Garoe Rynnʼs frown deepened, appearing to be deeply hesitant about something. Just as his frown left, seemingly having made a decision, his pupils dilated.

”Wait… thereʼs something wrong.”

Hearing the urgency in his tone, Nyx Godwin and the Tyriels quickly stopped. Their pupils also dilated as they found something extremely strange; thousands of Level Three Immortal King Unfettered Ice Fiends stopped in their place.

The whole scene was eerie, especially when the screaming and cackling noises of the Unfettered Ice Fiends were gone in this instant. Even the Level Four Unfettered Ice Fiends became silent, although they continued to move, seemingly reflecting a kind of emotion that they had never seen before.

”Fear…?”

Rea Tyrielʼs gaze changed as she noticed one of their emotions, even using this chance to pierce that thingʼs head in the distance as it was about to block their way. It fell without enacting any resistance, causing her to blink.

”Wha—!?”

Abruptly, they saw thousands of Unfettered Ice Fiends lose footing and fall to the ground the next moment. The ones in the skies, about to reach them, were even worse as they plunged directly to the ground.

*THUD!!~~~*

Giant bodies fell on the icy surface, causing tumultuous waves of loud tremors to resonate in the icy hive. Only then did the Level Four Unfettered Ice Fiends suddenly jolt out of their reverie, quickly pulling back as though regrouping themselves.

”This is…”

Everyoneʼs eyes were wide as saucers as they witnessed more than twelve thousand Level Three Immortal King Unfettered Ice Fiends fall to their feet, never to move again. The battleground at the entrance was suddenly left with nothing to fight as the Level Four Unfettered Ice Fiends rushed towards the epicenter.

Olas Windfall, Waine Might, Seylin Blizzara, and many other true disciples were breathing hard, already finding it extremely taxing to kill Level Three Immortal King Unfettered Ice Fiends that they would have no choice but to retreat to the spirit formation erected by Myria but now, they were suddenly able to heave breaths and circulate their energy through their stressed meridians with ease.

*Bang!~*

Abruptly, the icy dome created in the distance to trap the Emperor of Death was broken through by a spinning pitch-black scythe. It seemed to have sliced apart a circle from the barrier at the top and stabbed at the icy surface as it stuck onto the top, allowing a purple-robed man to exit with two giant icy bodies behind him.

”Hey, Myria! I got two of those bastardsʼ main bodies. Now, we only have to be worried about their big brothers coming for revenge.”

Davis flew out of the icy dome that had trapped him, looking around with a smirk on his face as he saw the thousands of dead bodies that belonged to him. The color of his eyes almost changed into immortal crystals, but he couldnʼt help but turn to look at Myria as he yelled, wondering what her reaction would be.

Would she complain that he got more than she expected?

However, she turned to look at him, her indifferent eyes curving into a smile.

”Good work. Now come with me. I need you.”

Her voice resounded melodiously, different than the indifferent tone she used to talk with them, causing Nyx Godwin and the otherʼs expressions to flicker.

Davis gave a thumbs up to her before turning to look at the narrow entrance. Confirming that Mystic Diviner Hailac was still safe, he ascended into flight and shot toward Myria.

In this brief moment, Rea Tyriel and the other three couldnʼt help but feel a profound sense of defeat as their gazes moved between Davis and Myria.

When Myria said forget it and that it was useless, did she mean in a way that he was going to end up victorious regardless? Did she hold such trust in him?

No! Trust wasnʼt the problem here! How could a Level Seven Immortal Soul Stage Cultivator win against a bunch of Level Fours and kill the main bodies of two Level Three Immortal King Unfettered Ice Fiends!? It didnʼt make any sense!

Nonetheless, Myria didnʼt stop flying, causing her to follow them unwittingly. And since the Level Four Unfettered Ice Fiends were strangely staying out of their range, appearing wary, they quickly arrived at the epicenter, where a two-hundred-meter diameter vent existed, brimming with powerful wind energy that coalesced into countless wind blades combined with the iciness of the surroundings but most importantly, the impure Ice Essence Orbs that strangely hung in the very center of this abyssal vent.

While everyone was taken aback by sight before them, including Davis, Myria raised her hand, and four light rays emerged from her finger, shooting into the skies before landing at different spots surrounding the vent.

”I need you all to clear out five points for me and guard it while I set up a formation. We donʼt need to enter the vent as itʼs extremely life-threatening. If you donʼt want to listen to me and have your own method to stop the implosion, you can try.”

Myria stated indifferently as she turned to look at them all, causing them to be taken aback. However, Garoe Rynn raised his brows.

”Whatʼs the share?”

”Fifty-ten-ten-ten-ten-ten.” Myria slowly enunciated.

”Alright. Count me in.”

Davis stretched his body and cracked his neck. He had no idea how to stop the implosion without risking entering the vent, but since Myria claimed to have a method, he was willing to try. As for the contribution points, he wasnʼt greedy anymore as he got his fair share already, not to mention one-third of Nyx Godwinʼs loot would also belong to him according to their verbal agreement.

ʼMust not be a show off anymore….ʼ

As Davis smirked at Nyx Godwin and inwardly told himself, turning to glance at the icy dome that he had just come out of after he had cleared all traces of his slaughter, a surreal feeling filled his heart.

The slaughter didnʼt even last a few seconds, making him unable to believe the power Fallen Heaven held just now.

ʼThirteen…ʼ

Davisʼs body couldnʼt help but lightly shiver in utter excitement!
