Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 2616 Lingering Resonance

”Mhm?”

A white-robed woman suddenly squinted her brows as she stopped waving the silver sword she held in her hand. An unbelievably strong Level Six Immortal Stage undulations reverberated from her as the silvery sword vibrated, slicing past a neck of an icy fiend. However, it stopped halfway and made a beeline to the top, cutting it vertically and splitting apart another icy fiend that tried to pounce on her.

The two ice fiends fell and decorated themselves on top of tens of other Unfettered Ice Fiendsʼ carcasses.

”This vague feeling...”

Myriaʼs black eyes flashed as she sensed a distant ebbing feeling of joy. It was so vague that she wouldnʼt have noticed if she wasnʼt using her soul to encompass the battlefield, making it taxing for her to battle.

However, it didnʼt take her much to differentiate that this feeling belonged to Ellia.

Since they had just separated, there was still some resonance between their souls, but it wasnʼt great enough to affect them anymore. However, when their feelings become extreme, like encountering life-threatening danger, they would come to know how the other party was faring.

In this case…

”… donʼt tell me...”

Myriaʼs eyes flickered with shock. She abruptly lost control of her light energy, and tens of Unfettered Ice Fiends launched themselves toward her, taking advantage of her loss of control over her soul force. Their intelligence was quite high, knowing when to attack and when to retreat.

ʼThat scoundrel… instead of making a move on the main mission… he made a move on Ellia…!ʼ

Unknowingly, Myriaʼs cheeks became covered in a shade of crimson embarrassment.

The icy fiends cracked their claws as they stretched their giant hands toward Myriaʼs head. Sinister ice energy overflowed from their hands, making their way towards Myria, trying to freeze her movements, but even before they could reach her, a burst of iridescence energy filled the space, abruptly engulfing the icy fiends and causing their souls to fall apart upon contact.

Her black-white iridescent energy returned to her body as they left in an instant, causing the Unfettered Icy Fiends that had surrounded her to fall, adding to the mountain of carcasses she hunted down.

Myria panned her gaze and noticed that there was no one there. Even the sixty-third-ranked and forty-third-ranked disciple who came to take advantage of her battle got killed to get to the core of the mission. They were unable to retaliate once barraged and ruthlessly slaughtered by the Unfettered Ice Fiends.

The cave leading to the core was absolutely dangerous that she couldnʼt help but stay on her toes all the time, not even leaving a sliver of a chance for the ice fiends or even her opponents to take advantage of her.

To that end, she revealed her complete prowess, straining herself to bring her light energy to eight levels higher, but that wasnʼt enough at this moment when she lost control, so she directly used the most powerful energy in her arsenal. After all, her light energy barely reached the Level Two Immortal King Stage, but her reincarnation energy reached the Level Three Immortal King Stage!

In other words, she was strong as the top ten true disciples from the Aurora Cloud Gateʼs Immortal Rankings while just being at Level Six Immortal Stage.

But at this moment, she shuddered, seemingly appearing angered beyond control. She wasnʼt angered because Ellia was taken but felt this was not the time to be lovemaking.

However, she calmed herself down, thinking it was her fault that she spoiled Davis too much by giving him contribution points whenever he asked. As a result, he continued to be relaxed instead of competing with her for the main mission.

Had he lost his drive?

She was already annoyed at the fact that her lower cultivation allowed the top ten to somewhat gain an advantage over in battle prowess as she couldnʼt be using her death energy or her reincarnation energy willy-nilly, but even Davis, who claimed to be her ally, was engaged in lovemaking in this kind of precarious situation. She couldnʼt understand what was going on in his head.

Didnʼt he say that he was going to give Ellia a marriage first?

”…!”

Suddenly, her trembling couldnʼt help but stop as her expression froze. She had already given them her blessings, so did it really matter when or how they conceptualized their love? Moreover, she wondered why she was so angry about what he did with his life, finding herself slightly having bonded with him more than she thought.

”… I shouldnʼt be relying on someone else.” Myriaʼs eyes flickered, ”Thatʼs right. You are fated to be alone, Myria. You shouldnʼt have brought youngsters into your quest for revenge in the first place.”

They had their life ahead, but she… she couldnʼt look forward without killing Fraser Herrion and the other people who made her suffer first.

Sensing the numerous Unfettered Ice Fiends hiding in order to ambush her, she lightly harrumphed and left, intending to make a breakthrough in her soul cultivation. Earlier, she had found a rare late Immortal Grade ice-attributed soul treasure, so she was convinced that she could enter Level Seven or perhaps even Level Eight Immortal Stage.

At that time, no one would be her match.

========

”Ahhhn~ ”

Ellia moaned seductively as bountiful breasts were being sucked on him

Davis couldnʼt believe how soft and lukewarm her breasts were that he felt like they were melting in his mouth. Her succulent nipples became erect in his while being flicked by the tip of his tongue and nibbled on, causing her to relentlessly struggle underneath him.

His large hands didnʼt leave her other peak alone either, groping and fondling it to his heartʼs content as he alternated between them.

Ellia, who was experiencing this pleasurable madness, was starting to feel drunk in it. Her eyes deliriously fluttered, and her body squirmed, even occasionally throwing her breasts at him to look at a certain spot that had her reeling in pleasure.

This went on for five minutes straight, and she was practically naked except for her underwear, which was still on her.

But suddenly, a spark of realization flashed in her eyes. Her lips quivered, ”Wa-wait...”

Davis, who was solely feeling up and readying his Ellia, stopped over her single word, quickly raising his head up.

”What…?”

”… this feeling…” Ellia hesitated as her eyes dodged his gaze, but she still said it, ”I think… mother was angered for a moment...”

Davis blinked, ”You two could still feel each otherʼs emotions?”

”Not much.” Ellia shook her head, ”The meager connection remaining between us is like a resonation of an ebbing sensation. It practically has no effect on us other than letting us know the extreme emotions of the other. I think itʼs merely a side-effect of our separation and will disappear with time.”

”So your mother found out that Iʼm going to make you mine now?”

”Most likely…”

”And she was angry, you say...” Davis couldnʼt help but smile, wondering what brought this kind of emotion in Myria.

She had given her blessings to their relationship, so why would she be angry over it? He didnʼt know but glanced at Ellia.

”You want to stop?”

Ellia shook her head as she reached out her hands to capture his cheeks, ”Iʼll apologize to mother later on if something is truly bothering her, but first, make me your woman~”

”Good girl…”

Davis leaned and pressed her lips with his, exchanging a deep kiss that didnʼt lose attraction nor the heat for a single moment as they remained passionate for each otherʼs love and affection.

Ellia felt that she was too deep in this to pull back. Besides, when her lifelong wish was about to be fulfilled, she didnʼt want to back down, even if Myria invaded this place. Although his move on her was sudden, she was completely determined to become his woman today.
