Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 2631 To The Source

*Puchi!~*

A thick scent of blood filled the area as light rays filled the room. They were black and white, traversing like sword light as they pierced through the head of many Unfettered Ice Fiends, killing them in an instant.

Oppressive undulations churned, and the entire path to the cave was adorned with hundreds of them lying lifeless yet still grinning like crazy fiends.

At this moment, two of them landed on one of the Unfettered Ice Fiendsʼ dead bodies and narrowed their gazes into the distance. Light reflected off their eyes and flashed back into their pupils, causing one of them to narrow their eyes.

”Strange.” A melodious voice echoed, ”How come they keep ambushing us in droves? According to the reward constraints, there should be no more than ten thousand of them.”

”True.” A stern voice resounded, ”Isnʼt this our four thousandth kill? The others shouldʼve also been able to kill thousands. Are they never-ending?”

One was a white-robed woman, and the other was a dark crow with white stripes on its body and the symbol of a crescent moon on its forehead. It stood on her shoulder while the beautiful woman moved her alluring crimson lips.

”Mhm. This is quite… disadvantageous for us. This is the core of the blizzard. Using energy here is difficult even for us, as it takes away more energy from us just to keep the chill from affecting us. We can do this for a bit more time, but… letʼs collect the corpses and re- ”

Suddenly, she stopped talking as she turned to look back and narrowed her eyes.

She saw a purple-robed man and a white-robed woman approaching her from a distance. Although their facial features couldnʼt be defined, she more or less recognized one of them, causing her lips to curve.

”Letʼs compete with them. What do you say, Black?”

”Iʼm in.”

The two of them grinned at each other, waiting for the other party to approach them. In a few seconds, the purple-robed man appeared before them and lightly smiled.

”Young Miss Rea, you left these contribution points lying all over the surface.”

”Letʼs see who has the courage to take it.”

Rea Tyriel smirked at Davis.

Davis couldnʼt help but laugh lightly. This tunnel leading to the core of the vent wasnʼt the only one. There were also other tunnels making their way to the core, which were occupied by others. However, he sensed her aura and made his way here, and the other party also likely knew why he would choose this route as opposed to taking others.

”Seems like youʼre no longer angered. As expected of a Young Mistress.”

”Of course.” Rea Tyriel nodded, ”Iʼm not childish to be hung over a matter that was thrown to the wind by us. As long as you keep your women in line, thereʼs no need to fear such a matter will happen again.”

Davis shrugged, ”That also depends on how you act.”

Rea Tyriel couldnʼt help but silently laugh, her bosoms trembling ever so lightly before her gaze fell on the white-veiled white-robed woman.

”You… arenʼt you Fairy Myria, whoʼs making a scene here recently? I heard that you also reached the seventieth rank in the Immortal Rankings. Youʼre not bad.”

Myria passed by Davis. However, she didnʼt stop and flew past Rea Tyriel as well, ignoring her.

”…” Rea Tyriel watched her rush past her before she turned to look at Davis and gestured.

”What is her problem?”

”Haha.” Davis was utterly amused, ”Her tolerance level is lower than mine, so you better be careful with her.”

Rea Tyriel blinked. Wait… did that mean she was too annoying to communicate with?

She glared at him but took a breath and smiled, ”There are four thousand carcasses on the floor. How about you compete with me and see whoʼs the one who gets the most kills? If you win, this entire loot is yours to exchange.”

Davis couldnʼt help but blink as he became taken aback. He took a look around for a moment and really counted that were four thousand carcasses of the Unfettered Ice Fiends. The blood of scent was really thick, and he knew the danger was serious, so he didnʼt bring Natalya and the others and only came with Myria and Mystic Diviner Hailac, but he told the latter to come after some time to which she responded with a nod of agreement.

Heck, he didnʼt bring Nadia either in case she was needed to protect them. After all, the fact that multiple Unfettered Gargantuan Ice Fiends could be lurking in the abyss was frightening, but he and Myria could take care of themselves, especially as he sensed that her soul cultivation had improved beyond his.

Nonetheless, looking at Rea Tyrielʼs face seething with a competitive intent, he couldnʼt help but ask.

”Are you sure that you want to give away eight million contribution points for free?”

Level Two Immortal Stage Unfettered Ice Fiends went for two thousand contribution points each. Since there were many as four thousand of them, it was a massive sum that even Rea Tyriel shouldnʼt be able to ignore, no matter how rich she was. After all, if exchanged, it was eight hundred High-Level Immortal Crystals or eight million Mid-Level Immortal Crystals!

It was a sum that was more than Ellia received from Mystic Diviner Hailac. Such a sum would allow any magical beast to skyrocket in their Immortal King Beast Stage Cultivation Base or even make a bit of progress in their Immortal Emperor Beast Stage Cultivation.

Or was she really that rich, and it was just that he didnʼt know the extent of the wealth the Tyriel Family possesses?

”Naturally, this is an equal exchange.” Rea Tyriel smirked, ”If I win, you will owe me something huge, which I can use anytime I want.”

Davis made a face like he understood before he couldnʼt help but look at her pitifully, ”Are you sure you want to create a karmic connection with me like that?”

However, Rea Tyriel closed her eyes and gestured with pride.

”This kind of promissory note wonʼt affect me, a Young Mistress to a power that is in charge of trillions of lives, especially when it is you who will bear the consequences of forming a karmic connection with me.”

”So if I lose, the fall is with me regardless of me being a Divergent?”

”Not exactly, but yes.”

”Thatʼs an interesting point.”

Davis pursed his lips, not knowing if it was true but he nodded, ”I agree.”

”Perfect.” Rea Tyrielʼs eyes gleamed, ”Since that woman didnʼt join, it will only be you and me.”

”Fine with me.”

Davis perfunctorily nodded, causing Rea Tyrielʼs figure to flash like lightning. Instantly, she burst into a ray of light and shot into the distance, even rushing past Myria as she entered another intersection.

”Donʼt tell me that I had a head start later on! Hehe~”

Rea Tyriel appeared at the center of the intersection, coming to a stop. As soon as she stopped, tens of Unfettered Ice Fiends jumped out of the corners and crevices of the intersection, reaching out their claws to her.

She was like flame attracting moths to jump, the light gleaming from her body releasing a lunar light as they lined up their claws at her.

However, before the light could expand or the Unfettered Ice Fiends could cleave her apart, they began falling like flies, not even reaching her in the first place.

*Boom!~*

Their giant bodies fell on the crystal ice ground, becoming one with it as they died.

Rea Tyrielʼs eyes trembled as she turned to look to her side, catching sight of a purple-robed man with a pitch-black energy swirling around him.

”Did I hear something along the lines of a headstart or was I imagining things?”

Davisʼs lips curved into a faint smile.
