Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 2644 Primal Depths

*Whoosh~*

A streak of light flashed through the skies of the icy hive, going straight to the epicenter.

Numerous heads swiveled up, looking at the shooting star. Within a quick few seconds, the Unfettered Ice Fiends jumped to the skies, flying to the shooting star in the hundreds. No matter who that shooting star was, they intended to stop them from nearing the epicenter just like they did for Davis.

”No. Fairy Myria is in danger.”

Nyx Godwinʼs eyes flashed. His destructive aura erupted, causing him to fly like a kite that had its strings cut. His movement technique was peculiar, allowing him to move through space like he was skipping from one place to another, and anyone with a bit of knowledge would be able to tell he was using a space-attributed movement technique.

In fact, they knew that was his main attribute compared to using Destruction Laws, which he rarely used.

Still, purple light emerged from his body and encased a plethora of Unfettered Ice Fiends that jumped to the skies as they spiraled into a string.

*Booom!~*

When it stretched out and abruptly tightened into a hold, space crumbled into a destructive zone. There werenʼt any explosions, but space just literally combusted into the unearthly purple fire, and the strange thing was that this purple fire didnʼt even plunge to the ground, appearing to be stuck in space, searing everything in its zone.

”Fairy Myria, what are you doing? Retreat into safety!”

Nyx Godwin unleashed his power and shouted for Myria to return. However, she only cast him an indifferent glance before shooting into the distance faster. His expression scrunched into a frown in response, not knowing what she was thinking doing this dangerous stunt.

Did she have to court death for no reason?

However, since she was so knowledgeable, he believed that she must have a plan. Quickly, he burst forth, appearing to follow her.

”Tch, look at him going after her right after he tried to court you. Theyʼre never sincere, but Iʼm sincere.”

Black Tyrielʼs voice echoed as lunar light entangled with Rea Tyrielʼs lunar light. Both were mildly different in color, but when combined, they unleashed a different power, causing the heaven and earth to lose color under their wrath.

Their eyes flashed with an otherworldly white light as lunar light enveloped the world, covering a few-kilometer radius. Wherever this light passed through, the numerous lives being enveloped in it experienced a helpless death. They couldnʼt even retaliate by making a barrier with their ice energy.

”Yes, yes. But you are my magical beast companion. You have to stick with me no matter the cause.”

”Caw~ That is nonsense! Who made such a rule? I wonʼt rest until I peck that bastard to death!”

Rea Tyriel giggled while Black Tyriel went crazy, releasing a bunch of lunar spheres that burst into millions of rays of light that barraged the Unfettered Ice Fiends that besieged the rear, killing them in droves and greatly reducing the pressure on the weaker true disciples. However, Rea Tyriel and Black Tyriel also followed Myria, wondering what she had in mind.

Coincidentally or not, Garoe Rynn also followed their trail, leaving behind a vacant space that was full of pierced heads.

His attacks were silent and did not make many waves. However, just by looking at the aftermath, one could tell that he killed about three thousand Level Three Unfettered Ice Fiends in a few minutes.

After Davis, the Unfettered Ice Fiends were the most concentrated on him.

His killing power was incredible, causing numerous people who witnessed this feat to be full of respect for him.

Nonetheless, they ground their way together, stopping those who tried to block Myriaʼs path. Destructive attacks flew like the wind, piercing through numerous Unfettered Ice Fiends as they made a mockery of their tough and enormous bodies. They were like tofu, unable to withstand their attacks as they got cleanly sliced through or exploded into a bloody mess.

Myriaʼs group left a blood trail.

Davis was flabbergasted as he witnessed this scene from the corner of his eyes, causing him to think that she sure was popular. Why no one helped him instead?

ʼNo, there was one...ʼ

He thought of Mystic Diviner Hailac. Her karmic attack only managed to kill a few Level Four Immortal King Unfettered Ice Fiends, but her action caused him to have more space to maneuver. He had little to no idea why that woman would go that far for him, causing him to think she might be more money-minded than he thought she was, not that he complained since it helped him greatly.

But now, even Myriaʼs action caused more Unfettered Ice Fiends to stray away from him, leaving him practically free.

ʼHeh… looks like the Unfettered Gargantuan Ice Fiend designated her as a huge threat than me.ʼ

Davis couldnʼt help but silently laugh as he quietly disappeared from the field, suddenly leaving an entire division of Unfettered Ice Fiends confused as to where he went.

”Wrong move.”

Abruptly, they saw him appear right before their heads in their connected vision, causing them all to swirl their heads to a location as they found him striking the main body down with a palm to its head.

*Bang!~*

Davis unleashed Death Fiend Palm as his death energy manifested into a giant palm, crushing down upon a Level Three Unfettered Ice Fiend. Its head disintegrated upon touch, not even leaving a drop of blood behind as its headless body fell to the ground.

However, Davis couldnʼt help but frown as he turned to look around.

”Oh, they sure do learn from their previous mistakes.”

Not only did he fail to kill the Level Three Unfettered Ice Fiend as it made its escape at the last moment, but surrounding him were dozens of Level Four Immortal King Unfettered Ice Fiends, sacrificing their bodies to create an ice dome that encased around him in an instant, trapping him.

The next moment, numerous Level Four Immortal King Unfettered Ice Fiends passed through the ice barrier like spirits, stepping out as they grinned at him with sinister smiles. They brandished their ice spears, appearing to want him to skewer him, but they werenʼt the only ones as hundreds of Level Three Unfettered Ice Fiends entered.

Davis couldnʼt help but wryly smile as he saw this scene.

They actually lured him here, which meant that he was still considered the Unfettered Gargantuan Ice Fiendʼs biggest threat, especially when he saw the two main bodies of the Level Three Unfettered Ice Fiends appear to finish him off personally with his karmic-infused eyes.

”Seems like I had made a mistake in my calculations, but...”

Davisʼs wry smile turned into one of relief as he re-summoned his broken scythe made out of death energy into full shape.

”I must thank you, sinister creatures, for going out of your way to create a sealed space for me.”

”…!”

The Unfettered Ice Fiendsʼ wicked smiles became horrified as they witnessed his death energy, instantly turning around to run. However, the area became covered in pitch-black in an instant, causing every Unfettered Ice Fiend to freeze in an instant as they felt their spines give out, resisting to take orders from them.

A primal sense of fear overwhelmed their senses, causing the entire army of Level Three Unfettered Ice Fiends outside to freeze in place as well!
