I Became The Chief Of A Primitive Village

Chapter 828, Truly a Strange Individual

*Screech!*

Peak Eagle called out sharply, beating its great wings as it flew back alongside the hot air balloon.

Its original size had not been exceptionally large, still capable of perching on the hot air balloon’s edge.

However, with increasingly abundant food and improving living conditions, Peak Eagle’s size had already doubled from its previous dimensions.

Its original size had been twice that of Earth’s eagles, but its current size was double that again.

Compared to Earth’s eagles now, it was four times larger.

Now an entire Peak Eagle cramming into the hot air balloon would fill it completely. If it perched on the balloon’s edge, it would cause the balloon to lose balance.

All it could do now was beat its wings at the balloon’s edge, unable to find a stable point of support.

“Have you discovered anything?” Yan Hua enquired.

Yan Hua had dispatched it on patrol earlier, intending to observe whether any suspicious personnel were present.

Naturally, she was not specifically seeking suspicious individuals, merely checking whether anyone was concealed nearby.

*Screech!*

Peak Eagle beat its wings and called once more, shaking its head to indicate it had discovered nothing.

Eagles’ eyes were exceptionally sharp, capable of perceiving numerous things invisible to others.

Consequently, sending Ah Hen on patrol was an excellent strategy, particularly since the butterfly girl was not currently present.

“Good that no suspicious individuals are about, lest we be discovered,” Yan Hua exhaled with relief.

She did not wish for anyone outside the Flame Dragon Tribe to discover the hot air balloon, or it would trigger further complications.

No one knew the hot air balloon’s origins, much less understood its intended purpose.

Inevitably, those Tribes would investigate thoroughly, ultimately creating difficulties for the Flame Dragon Tribe.

Although the current Flame Dragon Tribe did not fear such troubles, avoiding unnecessary complications would always be preferred.

“Continue surveying the surrounding area and ahead, just to be certain,” Yan Hua instructed.

*Screech!*

Peak Eagle nodded, blinked its sharp eagle eyes once, then beat its wings and flew off again.

“Having Ah Hen makes everything more convenient. Unfortunately, Qiong Ba(Chopper, from One Piece) cannot yet assist.” Sha Lan glanced at the Water Beaver on her shoulder.

The Water Beaver’s name had been chosen by Su Bai, as it truly resembled a raccoon more than anything.

However, its fur was entirely pale blue, and its large eyes were exceptionally adorable.

Su Bai had chosen the name Qiong Ba because the Water Beaver resembled a certain terrestrial creature.

Moreover, in a certain Earth Anime, a raccoon-like creature was also named Qiong Ba. Consequently, he had simply chosen that name. The name sounded pleasant regardless.

“This is the sky, naturally Qiong Ba cannot assist here. But, if we were in water, it could help,” Yan Hua rubbed Qiong Ba’s head.

She also found this creature exceptionally adorable. Although its lethality was to be wary of, this did not diminish her perception of how cute it was.

“Why do both these creatures obey you so easily?” Ga enquired curiously.

The Dark Scorpion Tribe was not without Ferocious Beasts or beasts accompanying Humans. However, they had all been beaten into submission.

These Ferocious Beasts and beasts remained alongside Humans only through fear. Given any opportunity, they would certainly flee immediately.

However, the scorpion girl observed that this Peak Eagle and Water Beaver were entirely different. They followed Yan Hua and Sha Lan voluntarily. There was no indication whatsoever of coercion. Rather, the relationship resembled friendship.

“This is quite normal. Does your Tribe’s Shaman not possess Shaman Techniques? Simply use a Shaman Technique and they will not harm us.” Yan Hua explained.

Only after speaking did she realise she had misspoken. Not all Tribes’ Shamans mastered such Shaman Techniques.

Moreover, each Tribe’s Shaman possessed different Shaman Techniques. Shamans as formidable as Flame Dragon Tribe’s were rare.

No, not merely rare. They were essentially non-existent. No young Shaman possessed such extensive mastery of Shaman Techniques.

This was precisely why Yan Hua admired Su Bai so profoundly, considering him a God-like existence.

“However, some follow voluntarily. This depends entirely on the person.” Sha Lan remarked flatly.

“So it is Shaman Techniques. I had been wondering. I thought it was impossible.” Ga stated flatly.

Her internal query had been answered. She had known these beasts and Ferocious Beasts could not possibly follow these people so obediently.

“Just so you know, Ah Hen followed me voluntarily. The Shaman only used a Shaman Technique on Ah Hen because he feared it might harm me.” Yan Hua argued. She disliked the other party’s tone. It was as though everything were obvious.

“There it is. That tree ahead is a Stone Thorn Tree.” Ga announced suddenly.

The scorpion girl’s green eyes had been fixed on the left front, where a tree towered into the clouds, obviously protruding considerably higher than other trees.

Yan Hua could not help but roll her eyes.

She was quite dissatisfied with the other party’s behaviour. Whenever they were conversing seriously, the other party either ignored them or changed the subject.

*Whoosh whoosh whoosh…*

The hot air balloon proceeded steadily towards the Stone Thorn Tree, finally locating an open area for descent.

“You two watch the surroundings, in case anyone approaches,” Ga stated abruptly.

She produced a bone knife that Su Bai had prepared before departure and began carving on the broad trunk.

Yan Hua and Sha Lan now understood that completing the mission took priority.

Despite their intense dislike of this individual, they remained dedicated to tasks assigned by Su Bai.

*Scrape scrape scrape…* Ga gripped the bone knife with one hand, carving forcefully into the trunk. Bark fragments gradually fell away.

A scorpion pattern on the trunk slowly took shape. Although not particularly realistic, it was recognisable as a scorpion.

“Is that truly meant to be a scorpion? It looks nothing like one. Rather, it more resembles a crawling insect.” Yan Hua narrowed her red eyes as she scrutinised it, finding it increasingly unconvincing.

Internally, she remained sceptical about whether the girl’s statements were truthful. Moreover, Yan Hua suspected this marking might enable Dark Scorpion Tribe personnel to bring additional forces.

Had Su Bai not analysed the situation and directed clear instructions for her, trusting this scorpion girl would have been genuinely difficult.

“If drawn too realistically, it would be more easily exposed. Only our intelligence agents recognise this.” Ga stated without turning her head.

“Is this enough?” Sha Lan enquired curiously.

“Yeah. Just return in three days, and the dedicated intelligence agent will be waiting here for me,” Ga nodded.

She dusted off her hands and walked towards the hot air balloon without looking back, displaying no particular attachment to this location.

“Truly a strange individual,” Yan Hua shrugged her shoulders and followed.

“Hopefully she has not deceived us,” Sha Lan glanced once at the marking and departed as well.
