I Became The Chief Of A Primitive Village

Chapter 811, An Ornamental Accessory That Adds Colour and Flourish

“Shaman, although our Tribe’s weapons are better than those of other Tribes, there will definitely be injuries and even death in war.” Yan Jiao’s expression was particularly serious as he continued, “Otherwise, we wouldn’t have something like Shaman Bone Tablets.”

At first, he had thought that Su Bai was just too young and did not know the hard truth.

But over time, he discovered that Su Bai was exceptionally wise, with many things beyond what he himself could ever accomplish.

Gradually, he had come to respect Su Bai more and more, because everything the other had said turned out to be correct. Otherwise, the Flame Dragon Tribe wouldn’t have developed as well as it had. But at this moment, he had to disagree.

“Shaman, although the Warriors have trained very hard and are strong, the enemy’s numbers are far too high.” Sha Hong blinked her blue eyes and continued, “But I’ll do my utmost to minimise casualties this time.”

Though Sha Lan didn’t know what the Shaman was thinking, the only thing she could do now was to minimise casualties.

“You’ve misunderstood my meaning. What I mean is that we need to create a proper battle plan.” Su Bai smiled.

Clearly, he knew they didn’t believe what he was saying now, but he didn’t want to explain too much, as the result would speak for itself.

“Shaman, are we going to attack them head-on, or secretly ambush them?” Yan Jiao asked.

He breathed a sigh of relief internally, thinking this was the Shaman he knew. Otherwise, zero casualties would truly be impossible.

“According to what Lee Yun just said, Zen is currently watching them, so we know their position like the back of our hand.”

Su Bai paused, then continued, “As long as we can clearly know their position, they’ll be the ones at a disadvantage.”

“According to what the Shaman says, we are going to ambush them?” Cang Shi kept blinking his purple eyes.

Having been silent for so long, he was naturally thrilled that there would finally be a battle. Finally, he wouldn’t have to train those younglings today.

The newly awakened Warrior Trainees naturally had potential, but training them day after day was tedious.

“That’s right. We need to catch them completely off guard. Only this way can we minimise casualties.” Su Bai said seriously.

He did not want to continue talking about zero casualties. He needed to let everyone see the results of his plan.

“Shaman, I’ll take the Warriors in advance to ambush them on their route. I’ll definitely not let them get within half a day’s journey of our Tribe.” Yan Jiao immediately said.

He had already heard many unfamiliar terms, but he couldn’t worry about that. At least he could understand most of what was being said.

“Shaman, leave this mission to me. I’ll definitely bring you satisfactory results.” Cang Shi also immediately volunteered.

He desperately wanted to go out and stretch his muscles, especially against those people from the Dark Scorpion Tribe.

“The Dark Scorpion Tribe is currently about a two days’ journey away from us. We only need to prepare at a distance half a day away from our Tribe.” Su Bai blinked his black eyes and continued, “This time, we only need to bring explosive packages and poison arrows. The rest of the Warriors should bring recurve bows as preparation.”

“Shaman, isn’t half a day’s journey from our Tribe a bit too close?” Yan Jiao asked worriedly.

He felt that if they failed, the Flame Dragon Tribe’s people should be arranged to have the time to evacuate. But with this distance being so close, evacuation would be difficult.

“If there’s any emergency situation, our people can provide support in time, so this distance is most reasonable.” Su Bai explained.

He naturally knew what the other was worried about, but it was just unnecessary worry.

The Tribe had now been developing for over half a year. Dealing with these 300 people was more than manageable. Su Bai was confident.

This was why he was so aggressive in developing the Flame Dragon Tribe. Now, the Tribe had to become strong enough to even weather this invasion.

“Shaman, I wonder who should be arranged to go this time? Or should I be responsible for selecting the personnel?” Yan Jiao asked.

What he was responsible for every day was managing the Tribe’s operations and the Warriors’ training situations.

For major matters, he still felt it was better to let Su Bai make the decisions, although he also had the authority to decide.

Actually, in some Tribes, the Chieftain was more precious than the Shaman. In some Tribes, the Shaman was merely an ornamental accessory that adds colour to the Tribe.

Of course, this was only a minority. Most Tribes still held the Shaman in highest regard.

“This time, what I mainly want to train are the Warrior Trainees and that batch of soldiers.” Su Bai took a sip of water and continued, “Totem Warriors also need to go on the mission, but this time they’ll be providing support.”

Actually, when he made this decision, he was a bit worried, afraid that the Warrior Trainees and soldiers would drop the ball. However, for the sake of actual experience, he could only work harder to perfect the battle plan to reduce any potential losses.

“Shaman, I think this time we should let the Totem Warriors take the lead. I’m worried the Warrior Trainees might make mistakes at critical moments.” Yan Jiao said worriedly.

“That’s right, Shaman. And those soldiers have only been training for a short time. It might be a mistake to send them.” Cang Shi was also somewhat concerned.

Sha Hong and Qing Yan didn’t speak. They felt that if the Shaman was doing this, there must be a reason for it.

“Let me explain the battle plan to you first. If you still think it’s bad, I’ll modify the plan.” Su Bai said seriously.

This was now a matter for the entire Tribe. He couldn’t arrange these things arbitrarily. He needed to share what he was thinking and planning with everyone. Only with everyone’s agreement could they move as one.

“It seems the Shaman has come up with a great plan.” Yan Jiao’s implication was that he was willing to listen.

The others also nodded, all tacitly agreeing to this approach.

“We can prepare explosive packages in advance in the forest, and hide soldiers and Warrior Trainees in various positions, having them carry arrows coated with poison.” Su Bai paused, then continued, “Besides this, we’ll also need the Totem Warriors’ help.”

“Shaman, what do you need us to do!” Cang Shi became serious.
