I Became The Chief Of A Primitive Village

Chapter 817, All Must Die

The explosive detonation of the explosive packages thoroughly terrified the enemy. All of them were so frightened it was as if they had lost their Souls.

“What on earth is happening!? Could this be a Shaman Technique!?”

“How could it possibly be a Shaman Technique? No Shaman Technique could ever be this powerful!”

“Heavens above, our Totem Warriors have suffered such massive casualties. What in the world is happening?”

“My ears! Ah… I can’t hear anymore!”

“My arm is bleeding. Where are the Shaman Bone Tablets? Someone come and save me! My arm’s been severed!”

“Ahhh…”

The people of the Dark Scorpion Tribe continuously let out all manner of sounds. Those who hadn’t been caught in the explosive packages’ blast radius were all curious about what was happening.

How could such tremendous noises erupt all of a sudden? The critical point was that over half of their Totem Warriors had already fallen. Those who were injured were in a different state altogether, all screaming and moaning in agony. They were all suffering tremendously.

Some had lost hands, others feet, while some had their intestines spilling out. The scene was extremely gruesome.

Over a hundred people from the Dark Scorpion Tribe had fallen in an instant. These hundred-plus individuals were precisely those who had been walking at the very front.

This had been calculated well in advance by the Flame Dragon Tribe, because the intelligence Lee Yun had brought back indicated that the Dark Scorpion Tribe’s Totem Warriors walked at the forefront.

Naturally, when those Warriors reached the explosive packages, they had to be detonated. Even if the Totem Warriors were not walking at the front, it would not matter much. In any case, they just needed to wait until those Totem Warriors walked onto the explosive packages before detonating them.

Some of the Dark Scorpion Tribe’s people were still completely bewildered, while others were terrified beyond measure, their courage shattered.

However, the Flame Dragon Tribe did not give them any chance to catch their breath. Sha Hong and the others all emerged from their concealed positions.

The moment the Dark Scorpion Tribe saw the Flame Dragon Tribe’s people, they instantly understood what had just occurred. Simultaneously, they became extremely frightened…

“It’s an ambush! Everyone quickly take up your weapons and fight!”

“Resist!? Over half our people are already dead! By the looks of things, most of them are Totem Warriors.”

“Exactly! Right now, their numbers clearly exceed ours. How are we supposed to oppose them!?”

“Since we can’t oppose them, then let’s quickly flee. Are we just going to stay here and wait for death!?”

“Please, I beg you to take me with you. My leg’s already been severed.”

“…”

Sounds of this nature rang out once more amongst them. Every single one of them was terrified beyond measure.

Without their Totem Warriors, they had instantly lost their mental and spiritual pillar. Each and every one of them was thrown into utter confusion.

Gai had his left arm blown off, and his body bore wounds both large and small. It could be said that he was gravely injured.

He struggled to prop himself up with his remaining hand, asking in terror, “What on earth is happening?”

Gai had never imagined things would turn out like this. Shouldn’t the Flame Dragon Tribe be just ahead? Why would they encounter an attack at this moment? And moreover, be attacked by some unknown thing.

Looking at his own mangled body, he now possessed absolutely no offensive capability whatsoever. Apart from having his left hand blown off, both legs had been blasted into a bloody pulp. Standing up properly was fundamentally impossible, let alone engaging in combat.

Gai struggled to raise his head to observe his surroundings, wanting to assess the Warriors’ condition and identify exactly who was attacking them.

Gritting his teeth, he slowly propped himself up, roaring, “Just who are you people!?”

At this moment, Gai was utterly desperate, never having anticipated encountering such circumstances. He was also very clear that right now, his life was about to end here.

But before that happened, he absolutely had to know who was attacking them. This was perhaps the final obsession of his ordinarily prideful self.

“The Flame Dragon Tribe.” Sha Hong enunciated each word distinctly.

The Flame Dragon Tribe’s people had all assembled together completely, but they didn’t immediately launch an attack. Instead, they all gathered in one place, observing the Dark Scorpion Tribe’s people. At this moment, they posed absolutely no threat whatsoever.

Because all the recurve bows in the Flame Dragon Tribe’s hands were aimed directly at them. If they dared make any rash moves, they would immediately die beneath the arrows.

Those from the Dark Scorpion Tribe were not stupid either. At this moment, they naturally understood what was happening.

Although they did not know what those weapons in the Flame Dragon Tribe’s hands were, they knew that not making any rash moves was the best choice for them.

For no other reason than this: several who had attempted to flee had been shot dead.

These Warrior Trainees all valued their lives greatly. After being in such a disadvantage, they naturally became obedient.

“How can this be? How could you possibly know about us!?” Gai’s eyes widened. He believes that they had concealed themselves quite well, and had consistently sent people ahead to scout.

But throughout the past few days, nothing whatsoever had occurred. How could they suddenly be exposed? Moreover, most importantly, the enemy’s timing was so precisely calculated, intercepting them right at this exact location.

“Wanting to know about you people isn’t difficult. Anyone who wants to invade our Flame Dragon Tribe has only one path: death.” Sha Hong’s expression darkened. She slowly raised her recurve bow and shot an arrow straight into the opponent’s forehead.

“Ah!” Gai didn’t even manage any additional cry of agony. The arrow struck him right in the centre of his forehead, instantly ending his life on the spot.

“Gai!” Ga had just regained consciousness and witnessed this scene.

She had just been knocked unconscious by the explosion’s shockwave. Her face, hands, and body all bore burn marks. However, she was considered fortunate. Her limbs and facial features had not suffered any major problems.

“Mother, let us handle the remaining Totem Warriors.” Sha Lan suddenly said.

Because Sha Lan had noticed that quite a few Totem Warriors were beginning to stir restlessly, possibly wanting to engage in mutual destruction at this moment.

Sha Hong looked seriously at Ga, raised her hand, and commanded, “Capture her and bring her back to the Tribe for interrogation. Kill all the others!”

She had naturally also seen those restless Totem Warriors. She did not want any hidden dangers to occur, so these people had to be finished off immediately.

The reason she kept Ga alive till now was because she appeared to be the Leader. Keeping her would still allow them to ask some questions.

Originally, they had intended to keep Gai, but Gai was already covered in injuries and wouldn’t live for much longer, so there was no need to waste time.

“Yes.” Sha Lan and Yan Hua both nodded.

They had long wanted to personally finish off these people. Anyone who bullied the Flame Dragon Tribe had to die.

The Flame Dragon Tribe’s Warrior Trainees and soldiers also began acting according to orders. Now, those they needed to deal with were the Dark Scorpion Tribe’s Warrior Trainees.

At this moment, the faces of those from the Dark Scorpion Tribe were all covered in terror. It was a terror they had never experienced in their entire lives!
