I Became The Chief Of A Primitive Village

Chapter 812, Teams with Their Own Specialities

“The forest is very wide. We must find a route they have to pass through, so we can lay the explosive packages in ambush.”

Su Bai blinked his black eyes and continued, “What you Totem Warriors need to do is lure them to where the explosive packages are laid.”

The spacious forest was full of places to manoeuvre. He was afraid that after laying the explosive packages in advance, those people wouldn’t follow the predetermined route.

If the Dark Scorpion Tribe people deviated from where the explosive packages were laid, the plan would be disrupted.

Having the Warrior Trainees or soldiers lure them away was not very realistic, as most of the enemy were Totem Warriors. If they weren’t careful, the Flame Dragon Tribe’s Warrior Trainees and soldiers could easily suffer losses. For safety’s sake, it was better to let the Totem Warriors go.

“I understand the Shaman’s plan. We need to make those people follow the route we’ve laid out, so the explosive packages can unleash their full power.” Cang Shi instantly understood.

“Yes, but don’t get too close, or it’ll be dangerous when you need to retreat.” Su Bai instructed.

“Shaman, besides this, what else can we do?” Yan Jiao asked.

One had to know that this time, many Totem Warriors were looking forward to going on a mission. Why? Because they truly have been on one for such a long time.

“Those explosive packages we’ve laid won’t be able to kill all their Warriors. At that time, you’ll need to support the Warrior Trainees.” Su Bai took a sip of water and continued, “Deal with those Totem Warriors who are still alive first. Leave the remaining Warrior Trainees for our Warrior Trainees and soldiers to handle.”

He was arranging this mission based on the intelligence Lee Yun had observed, because after watching for quite a while, he had seen that those people had Totem Warriors walking at the front.

Although there was no way to distinguish the strength levels among the Totem Warriors, one could still tell whether someone was a Totem Warrior or not.

“This time, the Shaman wants those Warrior Trainees and soldiers to get proper experience, is that right?” Yan Jiao finally understood this point.

“Correct. Rather than training peacefully every day, it’s better to make good use of this opportunity.” Su Bai nodded.

“Shaman, but why let them personally kill the enemy? Actually, just participating in this operation would be enough. The real work could be done by us.” Yan Jiao felt they should be more cautious.

“This is called bloodthirstiness. Only by letting them truly see blood will they understand the cruelty of war and realise the true purpose of daily training.” Su Bai’s expression was particularly serious as he continued, “Facing wooden stakes that don’t move every day, no amount of training can compare to one real combat experience. This way, when they participate in larger, more vital missions in the future, their legs won’t tremble.”

He wanted to create soldiers and Warriors who were brave and skilled in battle, not those who only knew how to train with fixed equipment every day.

This happened to be an opportunity. However, he had already considered the Warrior Trainees and soldiers very carefully.

Because Totem Warriors would also participate this time, with these Totem Warriors helping them, they could boldly display their skills.

“I understand what the Shaman means now.” This time, Yan Jiao truly understood.

Everything the Shaman was doing was for the Warriors’ benefit, and for the entire Flame Dragon Tribe to become better.

“Shaman, besides this, what else do we need to do?” Cang Shi continued asking.

“Nothing else. The main participants this time are the Warrior Trainees and the soldiers. As for the remaining Totem Warriors, you select them yourselves.”

Su Bai put down his water cup and continued, “But no matter what, I only have one requirement. You must protect their safety.”

“Yes, I’ll definitely complete this mission.” Yan Jiao said with absolute certainty.

If this had been before, he might not have had such confidence, but now it was completely different.

What the Flame Dragon Tribe possessed was incomparable to other Tribes: weapons and the Warriors’ physical strength.

Weapons need not be explained. Recurve bows and explosive packages were things other Tribes could not produce.

As for the Warriors’ physical strength, this was an even greater advantage. The Warriors ate a great deal of food every day, and it was all meat. Besides this, they also had balanced portions of vegetables and fruits. Their physical condition was definitely better than Warriors from other Tribes.

The sound of footsteps echoed as Yan Jiao led everyone away from the Yong’an Building. Everyone gathered at the square, waiting for the upcoming task assignment.

“I must participate this time. I have to personally deal with those people.” Cang Shi spoke particularly viciously.

“Chieftain, how do you want to distribute the personnel this time? The Shaman said the Warrior Trainees and soldiers all need to participate. What about the Totem Warriors?” Qing Yan asked.

“There are over a hundred Warrior Trainees and fifty soldiers. Together, that’s two hundred people. This is a bit difficult to arrange.”

Yan Jiao frowned and continued, “I’m afraid if there are too many people, we’ll expose our position instead. But if there are too few, it won’t be very secure.”

“Ah Jiao, we can first have a group of Warrior Trainees ambush near the explosive packages, and have another group further away. This way, we won’t easily expose our position.”

Sha Hong thought for a moment and continued, “After the explosive packages detonate, that will be the signal. At that time, the Warrior Trainees in the distance can join in to eliminate the remaining people.”

“That’s a good idea. Let’s do as you say. This way, both the Warrior Trainees and soldiers can get some training.” Yan Jiao said with satisfaction.

“In that case, how many Totem Warriors should we send this time?” Cang Shi hurriedly asked.

“I won’t be able to go. I still need to stay and watch over the entire Tribe. This time, you people should go, and bring your own specialised teams along.” Yan Jiao instructed.

Qing Yan, Sha Hong, and Cang Shi each led their own team, responsible for training them in various hunting techniques and combat techniques every day.

What they led were the current Totem Warriors, specifically those who had just awakened at this year’s awakening ceremony.

“I understand. I’ll explain the mission to them.” Sha Hong nodded.

“Chieftain, what about the work of laying the explosive packages?” Qing Yan asked.

“Let Ah’Hua and Ah’Lan do that. Have them bring along some Warrior Trainees too.” Yan Jiao added.

Right now, those in the entire Tribe with the most free time were Yan Hua and Sha Lan. Apart from training, most of their time was spent at the Yong’an Building.

“War will begin very soon.” Cang Shi was already getting excited.
