I Became The Chief Of A Primitive Village

Chapter 818, All Self-Inflicted

Ga was bound up by the Flame Dragon Tribe’s Warriors, then dragged aside to be watched over.

The Warrior Trainees and soldiers each took up their weapons. This was their first mission.

Under no circumstances had they imagined that their first mission would be like this – that their very first mission would involve seeing bloodshed.

According to the Flame Dragon Tribe’s conventions, generally their first missions would not be that difficult.

It would be nothing more than hunting, or perhaps going to other Tribes to trade. Something like directly killing people was truly an enormous challenge.

Yan Hua and Sha Lan did not wait a single moment, fearing that those Totem Warriors from the Dark Scorpion Tribe might counterattack, they quickly struck.

When a battle has not achieved absolute victory, they dare not let their guards down. This was something Su Bai had drilled into them.

Regardless of any matter or battle, one absolutely had to ensure things were one hundred percent completed before relaxing. Otherwise, a reversal could occur at any moment.

“Ah’Hua, we’ll be responsible for dealing with those Totem Warriors who can still move. As for those who are injured, we’ll leave them to the others.” Sha Lan suggested.

Sha Lan felt that they were at an absolute advantage. However, the Totem Warriors who could still move required them to handle.

“I was thinking the same thing.” Yan Hua nodded.

In an instant, the Flame Dragon Tribe’s people began the final mopping-up operation. Those from the Dark Scorpion Tribe had long since been frightened out of their wits.

It was not that the Dark Scorpion Tribe’s Totem Warriors had not thought about resisting. It was just that it amounted to nothing more than a mantis trying to stop a chariot. They hadn’t even managed to struggle to their feet to counterattack when the arrows from the recurve bows were already embedded in their bodies.

The Flame Dragon Tribe’s people had undergone long-term training. Their accuracy had long since reached over ninety percent.

Although those arrow volleys did not strike their foreheads, they still hit other parts of their bodies.

These arrogant Warriors of the Dark Scorpion Tribe were now like eagles whose wings had been broken. No matter how proud they were, no matter how strong their abilities, it was completely useless now. At this moment, they were nothing more than fish on the chopping block, ready to be slaughtered at will.

Over half an hour later, all three hundred Warriors had been completely executed.

“Auntie Hong, the mission has been completed.” Yan Hua put away her recurve bow.

She had originally thought this mission would be extremely hard and she had mentally prepared herself. She had not expected that when the explosive packages detonated, the true direction of this battle had already been decided.

“Have our men examine the bodies. Ensure that all enemies are truly dead.” Sha Hong commanded meticulously.

She did not want any of these people to remain alive. As long as one remained breathing, the mission could not be considered complete.

“Mother, I’ve already had a group examine them in advance. I’m sure that every single person has stopped breathing.” Sha Lan immediately said.

The clever cat eared girl had already thought of this point.

Sha Hong, Qing Yan, Cang Shi, and these relatively veteran Totem Warriors hadn’t participated in the mopping-up plan.

They deeply understood that the remaining people were not enough for the Warrior Trainees and soldiers to divide amongst themselves. So, they had no need to take an extra share of the ‘quota’.

Yan Hua, Sha Lan, and the other Totem Warriors who had only awakened this year naturally did not compete either. They only took responsibility for eliminating the Totem Warriors who could still fight. The rest were still left to the Warrior Trainees and soldiers to handle.

“That’s good then. Pile up all the corpses together and burn them, then we can return to the Tribe.” Sha Hong instructed.

“Understood.” Sha Lan turned her head and continued making arrangements.

When setting out this time, Su Bai had specifically instructed that if they dealt with these Warriors, they absolutely had to burn their corpses.

Although Ferocious Beasts and wild beasts would eventually come to devour them, with so many corpses, those Ferocious Beasts couldn’t possibly consume them all at once. If they were not consumed all at once, these deceased corpses could easily breed disease, especially when so close to the Tribe.

When infectious diseases came, deaths occurred in massive numbers. Although Su Bai now possessed a Healing Skill, who knew whether it would be effective against infectious diseases? If it proved useless, wouldn’t that be terrible?

Having painstakingly developed the Tribe to this state, only to ultimately be defeated by a disease. How unbearable that would be.

Thus, all the corpses were piled together, with a ton of dried grass placed atop the corpses as well.

Much Kerosene Fruit Juice had also been poured over the corpses, precisely to make these corpses quickly burn.

“By the way, has an isolation zone been marked out around the corpses?” Sha Hong suddenly asked.

“Don’t worry, Mother. The isolation zone has been marked and is very wide. It won’t affect the other trees.” Sha Lan brushed her blue hair.

Marking out an isolation zone around the corpses was also Su Bai’s instruction. It was to prevent the flames from burning other trees when these corpses were burning.

The flames from burning three hundred corpses would be tremendously large. If an isolation zone was not established, it could very easily trigger a massive fire.

“En. After we are done burning, we’ll head back. Just to be safe.” Sha Hong said seriously.

She looked straight at that pile of burning corpses. Her exquisite face was entirely dyed red by the firelight.

Although Sha Hong was already over thirty, the skin on her face was still in excellent condition, appearing just like someone in their twenties.

People of this era had no concept of skincare, so her skin condition being this good was beyond one’s expectations.

Some people of the same age as her already had wrinkles on their faces.

“Understood.” Sha Lan nodded.

Yan Hua looked towards the bound Ga, suddenly said, “This is indeed somewhat cruel for her.”

Ga could no longer speak at this moment, but the expression on her face showed not the slightest change. When she first saw Gai injured, she was still worried about her Younger Brother. However, the moment Gai was finished off, she instead felt a kind of relief.

Right now, she was just staring blankly at that pile of burning corpses, not displaying any heart-wrenching feelings.

It was as if this scene was something that could be foreseen. The Flame Dragon Tribe’s people had originally worried she might still struggle, but it now seemed like they had overthought things.

“This is all self-inflicted on their part. If they hadn’t harboured designs on our Tribe, they wouldn’t have ended up like this.” Ai’er snorted.

Sha Hong did not speak, only quietly observed Ga, feeling this person was far from simple.
