I Became The Chief Of A Primitive Village

Chapter 806, Theory Fell Short Here

*Step step step…*

Yan Hua and Sha Lan quickly ran back to the Yong’an Building, both looking extremely curious.

After finishing breakfast in the morning, they had gone out to train and had just come back…

“Shaman, I just saw Father and Xi Guo leaving the Yong’an Building. Is there some mission?” Yan Hua asked curiously.

Yan Hua wanted to go on another mission. Despite all the tiredness of each past mission, she seemed ready for more after a short break in the Tribe.

“It’s not about a mission, but rather something great discovered in the forest,” Su Bai smiled slightly.

“Something great? Shaman, are there more delicious berries? Or good meat?” Yan Hua blinked her red eyes and asked.

“All you think about is food. Perhaps it’s something for construction.” Sha Lan swished her cat tail.

Su Bai handed over the bag of black rubber on the table, saying, “What was discovered is rubber.”

Yan Hua looked at the mass of pitch black substance in the Animal Hide Bag and frowned, “Shaman, is rubber this thing? This stuff is completely black.”

“Yes, Shaman, is this thing really useful to the Tribe?” Sha Lan said half-believing.

The contents of the Animal Hide Bag clearly appeared to be something that had flowed from some kind of plant. What could this kind of thing be used for? They had never heard of these things being edible. Even when eating, one would consume the roots or leaves, not directly consume plant liquids.

“After processing, rubber can be made into shoes. The rainy season will arrive soon, and Straw Sandals can no longer satisfy our daily travel needs.” Su Bai said seriously.

He planned to use this rubber to manufacture boots. This way, when the rainy season arrived, the Tribe’s people wouldn’t need to continue going barefoot.

When the rainy season came last year, although the Flame Dragon Tribe already had Straw Sandals at that time, they were not willing to wear them out in the rain.

Because Straw Sandals were all made from plants, if they got wet or soaked they would easily break down. Especially for the Warriors. Wearing Straw Sandals while going out to execute missions or train was extremely inconvenient.

“Rubber shoes? Shaman, can this thing really be made into shoes?” Yan Hua asked with disbelief.

No matter how one put it, this somewhat viscous black liquid being made into shoes truly seemed rather impossible.

What kind of operation would be required to transform this liquid into shoe-shaped objects? Wearing them would surely be very uncomfortable.

No one would like having their feet stepping on something sticky. Walking would feel extremely disgusting.

“Of course it can. The shoes produced will be even better than what we have now. You’ll know when the time comes,” Su Bai nodded.

He needed to begin considering how to process the rubber. Not having used this knowledge for too long, he had somewhat forgotten it.

Previously, when studying novels back on Earth, he had vaguely remembered some of it, so now he just needed to think hard and he could recall it.

“I see,” Yan Hua nodded thoughtfully.

“Shaman, if this thing can really be made into shoes, won’t other Tribes get envious when they see it and try to copy us?” Sha Lan asked curiously.

She had also heard the word ‘envious’ from Su Bai some time ago and found this term quite useful. They had learnt quite a few new terms recently, as their literacy progress had been swift.

“Don’t worry, they have no way of making these things into shoes. The methods for making shoes are all here,” Su Bai pointed to his head.

Regarding this aspect, he was quite confident. Although he wasn’t very certain whether other Transmigrators existed in this Primitive Era… But as of now, on this primitive continent, he was the only one who could properly utilise modern Earth knowledge.

“Oh!” Sha Lan swished her cat tail. So, she had been worrying needlessly all along.

“How have the soldiers been recently? Do they have the confidence to participate in battle?” Su Bai asked.

He suddenly thought of the matter concerning the Dark Scorpion Tribe. If war truly erupted suddenly…

The soldiers currently being trained would certainly need to be deployed to the battlefield. One more person meant one more contribution of strength.

“Recently they’ve been training extremely hard. When they first entered the forest, they were unaccustomed to the terrain, but now every single one of them is doing quite well,” Yan Hua reported.

Yan Hua now realised she had somewhat underestimated those soldiers.

There were certainly people who complained about the hardship, but everyone still persisted. Not a single person withdrew.

Some who got injured, after recovering, immediately rejoined the ranks. After finishing daily training, they would consciously add extra training time for themselves.

This was precisely to catch up with the progress they had fallen behind on. Although everyone’s strength still fell short of the Warrior Trainees, they were also clearly much stronger than ordinary people by an immeasurable degree.

“Does the Shaman intend to have them participate in the war against the Dark Scorpion Tribe?” Sha Lan blinked her blue eyes.

Because recently there had been no other wars at all. The only war that would soon occur concerned the Dark Scorpion Tribe.

“En, rather than having them train like this, it would be better to directly let them participate in genuine combat. This way they could actually gain more experience.” Su Bai said seriously.

Theory fell short here. Being able to conduct practical combat exercises would naturally be far superior. They couldn’t compare to the enemy Warriors who had Totem Power. So, they needed to train more and get every advantage they could get.

“Shaman, I’m worried they won’t be a match for their Warriors,” Yan Hua toyed with her black hair.

Even though these soldiers had trained quite well, if they truly fought Warriors, they still couldn’t win.

“Yes, if we really have to fight the Dark Scorpion Tribe’s people, our soldiers who have trained for so long will be the one that suffers the most losses,” Sha Lan said with concern.

“Of course, we won’t have the soldiers confront those Warriors head-on. Don’t forget we have bows and arrows, do we not?” Su Bai drank some water and continued, “We don’t need to rely on brute force to win. We must use our wit.”

“Shaman, do you mean to have the soldiers ambush the Dark Scorpion Tribe’s people?” Yan Hua became somewhat interested.

“Exactly. In any case, we’ve already dispatched people to conduct reconnaissance. If we can learn of their whereabouts in advance, we can have the soldiers prepare,” Su Bai nodded.

“This could work. They train with the longbows each day. It’s time to put them to use,” Yan Hua agreed wholeheartedly.

“Precisely,” Su Bai smiled slightly.
