Chapter 532: Otsutsuki Isshiki: I Added Something So You’d Know It Was a Genjutsu

Kenichi stood quietly in the orphanage, looking at the curtain of rain outside.

He remembered that his first meeting with his teacher had happened in this heavy rain.

The hyenas had just left not long ago, and Kenichi had eaten a barely filling dinner at the orphanage.

Soon after, his teacher arrived to select experimental subjects.

Kenichi knew what Orochimaru wanted to do, but he had no other choice.

He could only follow his teacher.

Only then would he have a chance to change his future.

In reality, Kenichi had made the right gamble.

Dark storm clouds, like a heavy curtain, enveloped the orphanage.

The sky seemed to be squeezed by an invisible giant hand, becoming distorted and oppressive.

Raindrops, like scattered marbles, rapidly fell from the gray horizon, striking the already weathered and peeling outer walls with pattering sounds.

Kenichi stared blankly at the dark clouds outside the window.

He had not expected this genjutsu to have such a repair function.

To be honest, Kenichi himself could not remember the details of the weather outside that day.

After all, human memory was limited.

Even Kenichi could not perfectly recall every detail of his childhood.

He was not someone with hyperthymesia.

The orphanage, located in a corner of Konoha, had long been neglected and forgotten.

Its main gate had lost its former luster.

The paint was peeling, revealing mottled wood grain beneath it, and the door panels trembled slightly in the wind and rain, as if they could collapse at any moment.

This was the first time Kenichi had seen the gate from his childhood so clearly.

At this time, the orphanage had not yet received attention from Konoha’s higher ups.

The steps at the entrance were mottled with moss, and this was already the result of the orphanage children diligently cleaning them.

Through the swaying rain curtain, one could see the orphanage windows.

Some of the windowpanes were broken, swaying in the wind and giving off creaking wails.

When lightning tore through the night sky, a brief flash of light illuminated the dusty and dim interior, followed by an even more violent roar of rain.

The trees in the courtyard swayed wildly in the wind and rain, as if they were trying to break free, but could only helplessly endure the storm’s ravaging.

The ground was pitted and filled with rainwater.

In the rain, a reflection slowly approached the orphanage.

The figure held an umbrella, walking slowly through the curtain of rain.

Kenichi looked up.

He knew that the person before him was his teacher, Orochimaru, one of the legendary Sannin of the Shinobi World, who had come to select experimental subjects.

However, when he looked up, Kenichi was stunned.

Although it was Orochimaru who appeared, it was the later version of his teacher.

The blond version of his teacher.

He was dressed in very proper clothes, and his eyes quietly stared at Kenichi.

Then, Orochimaru revealed a brilliant smile and extended a hand toward Kenichi, his fingers slightly curled, as if asking Kenichi to hand something over.

Occasional thunder rumbled in the distance.

The dim yellow light from inside the orphanage shone through the half drawn curtains onto the damp ground, forming a strong contrast with the sky outside.

It appeared quiet and desolate.

After each flash of lightning, the light quickly faded.

Kenichi stared blankly at the teacher before him.

Good heavens.

Kenichi exclaimed inwardly.

Good heavens.

Why was Teacher in this state?

And why did Teacher look like this?

What was with that strange expression that did not suit him at all?

Was this really his teacher?

Kenichi even suspected that Otsutsuki Isshiki had added something strange to it, causing this genjutsu to turn into this bizarre mess.

Kenichi’s lips twitched.

The expected reunion between teacher and student had now turned into this.

Kenichi was somewhat exasperated and no longer had any desire to continue playing along.

He shook his head, then broke the strange genjutsu.

”This guy’s ability is truly hard to guard against.”

Kenichi looked at Otsutsuki Isshiki before him.

This scoundrel actually knew genjutsu, and his mastery of it was not low.

At the very least, Kenichi himself had just suffered a loss.

He had been directly brought back to his childhood memories.

If he had not confirmed his normal state through his cheat ability, Kenichi really would not have reacted to what was happening.

Even if he had reacted, he would have fallen into self doubt.

Everything in the genjutsu had seemed so real.

And now, Otsutsuki Isshiki was spitting blood.

He had just taken advantage of Kenichi being affected by the genjutsu to attack Madara.

But who knew that Madara’s combat power would suddenly surge, catching him off guard and causing him to spit out a mouthful of blood.

”...”

Otsutsuki Isshiki looked at the Sage of Six Paths, both anxious and angry.

It was this guy’s intervention that caused Madara’s sudden surge in combat power.

This made Otsutsuki Isshiki hesitate.

He was thinking about whether he should flee first.

His physical condition was very poor because he had exposed himself too early.

Moreover, his previous battle with Madara had already caused significant damage to his reserves.

If he could drag it out for a few more decades, Otsutsuki Isshiki could pull Madara and Kenichi into his dimension.

The dimension with the Ten-Tails.

Then it would not be so troublesome, and dealing with Kenichi and Madara would be much easier.

But the problem was that he did not have that much time.

In his opinion, Kenichi and Madara were not strong enough to deal with him.

The problem was that the Sage of Six Paths was also standing behind these two guys.

That was very tricky.

Kenichi and Madara exchanged glances, then tacitly charged forward.

Both had reasons to fight.

Kenichi had to fight because as long as Otsutsuki Isshiki was alive, he would be a nuisance.

Madara, on the other hand, was worried that Otsutsuki Isshiki would hinder his plan.

However, looking at the Sage of Six Paths behind him, Madara’s heart also sank slightly.

This Sage of Six Paths was also a problem.

He was still in the Pure Land.

Would he know about his plan?

Would he obstruct him?

Madara had previously thought highly of himself.

But only now did he realize that there were people in this Shinobi World stronger than him.

Even much stronger.

For a moment, Madara even felt a sense of shame and anger.

He had thought he was the strongest, but he did not know that so many powerful individuals were hidden behind him.

Not to mention anything else, he could not even defeat this Otsutsuki Isshiki alone.

What was more, there was the Sage of Six Paths behind him.

This Sage of Six Paths was also a problem.

If he wanted to obstruct him, what should he do?

For a moment, Madara’s thoughts raced.

However, his determination to execute the Eye of the Moon Plan grew stronger.

After all, once the Eye of the Moon Plan was executed, he could become the Jinchuriki of the Divine Tree, gaining even more powerful strength.

At that time, he might be qualified to contend with powerhouses on the level of the Sage of Six Paths and Otsutsuki Isshiki.

Thinking of this, Madara’s killing intent toward Otsutsuki Isshiki grew even stronger.

After all, to execute the Eye of the Moon Plan now, Otsutsuki Isshiki had to die.

If Otsutsuki Isshiki did not die, Madara would not feel at ease.

Who knew if he would come out and cause trouble later?

”Cough, cough... You don’t know, do you? Our Otsutsuki Clan came from the universe to plant trees. At that time... Otsutsuki Kaguya betrayed me, ate the fruit of the Divine Tree, and then she was sealed by her two sons!”

Otsutsuki Isshiki laughed while fending off Kenichi and Madara’s fierce attacks.

Kenichi frowned slightly.

What was Otsutsuki Isshiki trying to do by saying this?

Madara’s pupils constricted.

Otsutsuki Kaguya?

Another name of a powerful being!

Madara took a deep breath.

It did not matter.

He would become even stronger in the future!

”And you.”

Otsutsuki Isshiki kicked Kenichi away, then used a black rod to block Madara’s attack.

He looked at Madara with sarcasm in his eyes.

The Sage of Six Paths frowned slightly but said nothing.

He could not stop it.

The cost of making a powerhouse on Otsutsuki Isshiki’s level remain silent was too great.

It was better to do nothing.

Anyway, this matter would eventually be known to others.

So the Sage of Six Paths said nothing, merely watching quietly.

But Madara’s heart filled with an ominous premonition.

”You, Madara, pride yourself as a favored child of heaven, but in reality, you are nothing more than the reincarnation of one of Otsutsuki Hagoromo’s sons’ souls. Otherwise, why do you think only you mastered the Rinnegan? Is it because of your talent? No. You are merely a mixed-blood Otsutsuki, hahaha, even inferior to that trash Kaguya!”

Otsutsuki Isshiki laughed wildly, and his words made Madara pause.

Otsutsuki Isshiki unhesitatingly pulled out a black rod, intending to stab it into Madara’s body.

But before he could act, a tremendous force came from his waist.

Two of Otsutsuki Isshiki’s ribs broke, and then Otsutsuki Isshiki flew backward.

He angrily turned his head to look at Kenichi.

That bastard!

If it were not for Kenichi, Otsutsuki Isshiki would have definitely killed Madara, then focused on dealing with that bastard Kenichi, and finally confronted Otsutsuki Hagoromo!

Madara shook his head, his expression becoming much more serious.

However, seeing Madara’s gaze toward the Sage of Six Paths, Kenichi knew that Madara’s heart was already filled with suspicion.

”Hmph... You don’t know about what happened back then. I, Otsutsuki Isshiki, was originally a genius within the Otsutsuki Clan, someone who could come out and plant Divine Trees. And Otsutsuki Kaguya was just trash with insufficient talent and bloodline.”

Otsutsuki Isshiki spat out another mouthful of blood, but his aura grew even more imposing.

”She ambushed me. Otherwise, if I had eaten the Divine Tree’s fruit, I would have already left this world and continued planting trees, eventually becoming a god! A true god! You foolish individuals, and you, Otsutsuki Hagoromo, you simply don’t know what the highest power within the Otsutsuki Clan means...”

Countless black rods emerged around Otsutsuki Isshiki.

Kenichi was on high alert.

Madara no longer bothered to look at the Sage of Six Paths, instead focusing intently on Otsutsuki Isshiki.

The Sage of Six Paths’ expression was not good either.

He indeed did not know much about the Otsutsuki Clan.

He only knew that his mother greatly feared them, to the point that she wanted to turn everyone in this world into biological weapons like White Zetsu.

This, he could not bear to see.

That was why he and his brother had sealed their mother.

But the Sage of Six Paths had not forgotten that his mother had once said the Otsutsuki Clan would eventually come to investigate.

They would come to this world.

What would happen to the people of the Shinobi World then?

So the Sage of Six Paths spread the method of chakra cultivation, leading to the emergence of ninja in the Shinobi World.

He had also hoped to strengthen the Shinobi World’s power.

And he himself had bravely faced death, going to the Pure Land to plan what he needed to do.

The Sage of Six Paths stayed in the Pure Land because he was preparing for a future confrontation with the Otsutsuki Clan.

During this time, he had also prepared many trump cards, even thinking he could seal his mother by himself.

But he had not expected Otsutsuki Isshiki to look down on him so much.

”We, the Otsutsuki Clan, continuously plant trees and eat their fruits to undergo continuous transformations, ultimately becoming gods. And every clan member who calls themselves a god possesses the power to easily shatter this planet! You simply don’t know how weak and ignorant you are.”

Otsutsuki Isshiki roared hysterically, more and more black rods appearing around him.

”Originally, if I had eaten the Divine Tree’s fruit, I would have left, and this world wouldn’t have faced a world ending disaster. But because of that wench, Otsutsuki Kaguya! Now you are all doomed!”

Vaguely, Kenichi also saw a familiar monster in that space.

Kenichi recognized the monster’s identity.

It was the Ten-Tails!

Otsutsuki Isshiki actually still had a Ten-Tails?

”Ignorant mortals! Witness the power of a god!”

Otsutsuki Isshiki raised his hands.

Kenichi and Madara’s hearts were in their throats.

Even the Sage of Six Paths became more cautious.

Then, a blinding light flashed, causing Kenichi to involuntarily close his eyes.

When he opened them again, Otsutsuki Isshiki was no longer there.

Kenichi was stunned.

”He’s escaping!”

The Sage of Six Paths became anxious.

That scoundrel Otsutsuki Isshiki had no dignity befitting someone who called himself a god!

He just ran away?

And after saying so much nonsense?

Now he was running incredibly fast.

Combined with his body shrinking, the current Otsutsuki Isshiki was hard to find.

If he escaped, it would be difficult to find him again.

Thinking of this, the Sage of Six Paths held nothing back.

With a wave of his hand, Hashirama stood in this world once more.

Then Hashirama spread his hands and clapped them together forcefully.

”God: Advent of a World of Trees!”

Accompanied by Hashirama’s roar, the desert instantly transformed into a forest.

Countless towering trees shot up from the ground, forming a cage that trapped Otsutsuki Isshiki, the prisoner, and also blocked the sun and sky.
