Chapter 517: Chapter 517: Chakra Atoms

Chapter 517: Chakra Atoms

In the blink of an eye, the vast desert, once an endless sea of sand, became lush and green.

Although only trees were present and there was no other vegetation, making the sight somewhat peculiar, Kenichi felt it was enough.

After all, for this desert, even a little greenery was extremely rare.

Kenichi was not overly ambitious.

He planned to first observe the condition of this artificial forest before deciding whether to continue transforming the desert.

Transforming a desert was not easy.

Otherwise, Sunagakure would not have struggled for so many years without achieving any results.

So Kenichi wanted to observe the situation here.

At the same time, Kenichi was also recalling information about Sunagakure.

Ever since he unified the Shinobi World, Kenichi had basically reviewed all information on the Ninja World.

He had also learned about the various villages and their forbidden ninjutsu.

Kenichi sealed away those ninjutsu, intending to establish a system in the future that would allow ninja to exchange for the opportunity to learn these profound techniques.

However, that work would undoubtedly be very lengthy, so Kenichi was not in a hurry to implement it.

He was currently recalling information about Sunagakure.

This village was located in the desert all year round, and not everyone there was content with the situation.

Kenichi remembered that many Sunagakure ninja had tried to change Sunagakure’s environment.

Kenichi quickly recalled some details.

When he had reviewed the data before, he had seen that Sunagakure ninja had tried to plant trees and create forests, but the effect had not been significant.

They chose to plant trees, then had ninja use Water Release ninjutsu.

However, in the early days, Water Release ninjutsu had a specific setting.

If there was abundant water in the surrounding environment, then Water Release ninjutsu could naturally be performed, and its power could even be enhanced.

But if there was not abundant water, the requirements for performing Water Release ninjutsu would be higher.

And precisely, Sunagakure ninja were most proficient in Wind Release, Earth Release, and Puppet Techniques.

They had very little research into Water Release.

This often led to Sunagakure ninja achieving half the result with twice the effort.

Over time, no one bothered to bring up afforestation anymore.

After all, it was very costly, time-consuming, and did not guarantee results.

Naturally, people could not persevere.

”However, from a fundamental perspective, Sunagakure’s choice was wrong.”

Kenichi looked at the forest in front of him.

To plant trees and create forests, the essential step was to first stabilize the sand.

In his previous life, afforestation had been an extremely troublesome task.

But countless kind-hearted individuals and scientists devoted themselves to it and worked hard, gaining some experience in planting trees in deserts.

First, choose plants with well-developed root systems that can stabilize sand and resist drought in order to improve the desert’s basic environment.

Furthermore, watering was not random.

It was not simply about continuous watering.

If there were heavy downpours in the desert, floods would erupt, but after the flood passed, drought would still set in.

If the soil could not retain water, then no matter how much it rained, it would be useless.

This also made it difficult to improve the desert environment.

However, that was in his previous life.

In this current world, in this crazy Shinobi World, everything had become so simple, especially after obtaining Wood Release ninjutsu.

Making the desert lush and green was no longer difficult.

Moreover, under Kenichi’s observation, these trees had root systems that grew rapidly and intertwined, completing the work of stabilizing the sand.

”Given this, making the Land of Wind habitable doesn’t seem to be a difficult task. Moreover, Sage Art Wood Release possesses even more tenacious vitality. Under normal circumstances, even if something goes wrong, it won’t have a significant impact. However, I still need to observe. If these trees can survive, then the Land of Wind, once shrouded in sandstorms, might truly become a habitable city.”

Kenichi thoughtfully observed the forest before him.

Currently, this forest was lush and verdant, a pleasing sight.

But it seemed to lack vitality.

There was no sound within it.

Not only did it fail to convey a sense of life, it even felt somewhat eerie.

However, Kenichi did not mind.

As long as this forest could be preserved, Kenichi could slowly reclaim this desert and transform it into a forest.

Then, by maintaining the forest for a period of time, the desert could gradually be transformed into a habitable place.

However, the formation of the Land of Wind was not natural.

The climate of this place had led to the birth of this desert.

Therefore, Kenichi felt that he might still need to find a way to minimize the climate’s impact on this forest.

But after much thought, Kenichi felt that the only solution seemed to be stationing ninja there to prevent prolonged drought.

Such a job could be called a forest ranger, with a high salary.

Kenichi knew that some people disliked bustling society and preferred solitude.

Based on this, Kenichi believed that the forest ranger position should attract applicants.

However, there were also requirements for the ninja’s strength.

It could not be too low.

Otherwise, if they could not even perform Water Release ninjutsu, there would be no point in having them as forest rangers.

Moreover, if their strength was too low, they might exhaust themselves and still be unable to prevent the entire forest from drying out.

With these restrictions, Kenichi felt that very few people would meet the criteria.

After much thought, Kenichi suddenly had an absurd idea.

Perhaps the person most suitable for this job was none other than himself.

After all, Kenichi was very strong.

And when conducting experiments, he did not need others to disturb him.

Even if something went wrong, Kenichi could immediately resolve it and prevent the problem from escalating.

Furthermore, Kenichi also possessed Wood Release.

So even if there were issues with the forest, he could immediately repair it.

Thinking of this, Kenichi’s mouth twitched.

It was truly humorous.

However, Kenichi still did not plan to take on the role himself.

There were many matters in the Land of Flame right now, and Kenichi did not have that much time to spend here.

[Today, in what was once the Land of Wind desert, I planted a forest using Wood Release. I am currently observing the forest’s impact on the desert and whether it can survive in the desert. If it can, then even if the Land of Wind becomes a habitable place, it will not be strange. The current population of the Shinobi World is not very large. However, with the expectation of future peace, the Shinobi World’s population is likely to experience explosive growth. After all, in the Shinobi World, people generally advocate having many children. If they can have them, they do. Even the villages reward families with many children, which is quite outrageous. Based on such policies and long-formed concepts, a baby boom can be expected in the coming decades. Cities will gradually form, and towns will become more numerous. Future land issues will also become more severe, so afforestation is not only beneficial for the present, but also for generations to come. As long as the land problem can be solved, even if the Land of Wind is turned into farmland, it would not be a loss.]

[Day 3: Today is the third day since I planted the seeds. The forest appears normal, and the sand no longer shifts. When stepped on, it even feels somewhat firm. This makes me a little happy, proving that my idea is correct. Sage Art Wood Release indeed possesses extremely strong vitality. Even though Sage Art chakra has receded from these trees, the trees have been preserved, which is very moving. Furthermore, with the sand stabilization provided by these trees, coupled with some rainfall, I’ve noticed that some thorny plants have grown in this forest. This truly makes one marvel at the miracle of life. It is truly unexpected. Nothing else has happened during this time. Shiori has not conveyed any other information that requires my attention, and Black Zetsu has not come to find me. I’ve had a rare opportunity for self-reflection in the forest. During this time, I have performed chakra of different attributes, but these chakra have not shown any other changes in my eyes. Finding the original chakra is not an easy task.]

[Day 5: The forest is as usual, but during this time, there has been no rainfall at all in the entire Land of Wind. For five whole days, the sky has been cloudless, and the hot climate even evaporated the small lake I created yesterday from rainfall, leaving nothing behind. My hypothesis for the Land of Wind is correct. To change the Land of Wind, it is essential to have ninja stationed there, and their number cannot be small. Otherwise, it would be insufficient to care for this vast land. Most areas of the Land of Wind are desert environments, and there will be many places that need improvement and maintenance. Such work may not be solvable in a day. It will take longer than I imagined. But for the future of the Shinobi World and the Land of Flame, such afforestation is necessary. Only then can the problems of farmland and housing be solved in the future. However, I didn’t expect that even at this point, I would still need to worry about housing.]

[Day 6: The forest is completely normal today, with no issues. I’ve had some other thoughts about chakra during this time.]

”Chakra, in itself, is also composed of something. So, according to microscopic physics, a normal person is made up of countless cells, and cells are not the smallest. Cells are further composed of countless atoms. Therefore, simply put, chakra, although a form of energy, is composed of countless atoms, regardless of what energy it is. If that’s the case, can I observe the atoms of chakra and find the commonalities I need within them?”

Kenichi had a peculiar idea in his mind.

But whether this idea was feasible, Kenichi himself did not know.

After all, although everything was composed of atoms, if one went too microscopic, atoms often had great similarities.

Kenichi was a bit troubled, but he had no better method.

Since it was just a guess anyway, Kenichi still decided to give it a try.

If it succeeded, then Kenichi would have an unexpected pleasant surprise.

Even if it failed, it did not matter.

Kenichi had other ways to continue researching this issue.

Moreover, during this time, Kenichi also needed to stay in the Land of Wind to observe the changes in the forest.

As for Jigen, Black Zetsu had not yet found enough remains, so Kenichi was not in a hurry to resolve that matter.

This just gave Kenichi enough time to slowly research the chakra he needed to study now.

Thinking of this, Kenichi opened his Mangekyo Sharingan.

He once again condensed fire-natured chakra.

But this time, Kenichi observed with greater focus.

In his eyes, the already minuscule fire-natured chakra began to expand infinitely.

Immediately after, Kenichi saw some strange points of light.

These points of light were mixed with other oddities.

They were unidentifiable, but they were definitely very strange things, looking as though they were composed of some other atoms.

Kenichi pondered.

If that was the case, then it was quite interesting.

Kenichi’s right eye rotated, and these strange atoms were decomposed by him, disappearing among the dense atoms.

Immediately after, Kenichi looked at the chakra in his hand.

This chakra was now completely different from fire-natured chakra.

It was more...

”How should I put it? It looks somewhat like the chakra that’s extracted into the body?”

Kenichi pondered.

While ninja had chakra natures, extracting chakra certainly was not about extracting a specific type of elemental chakra.

This chakra felt to Kenichi like the chakra extracted into the body itself.

However, this kind of chakra also did not meet Kenichi’s requirements.

So, after much thought, Kenichi continued to open his left eye and observed the chakra in his hand.

This time, he looked even more closely.

He felt that what he had just seen was not atoms.

Atoms should be the smallest.

So, could this be molecules?

Although there were other things that made up atoms, going too microscopic was not necessary.

Kenichi planned to first observe the chakra atoms in front of him and see if he could discover anything.

After Kenichi’s left eye even started to ache, he finally saw an even more microscopic view.

He saw countless tiny points of light.

The colors of these points of light were slightly different, but they were densely intertwined.

Kenichi did not know what these points of light were, but he instinctively activated his ability and erased one type of light point.

But besides that, there were two other types of light points.

Kenichi continued to erase them, ultimately leaving only one type of light point.
