Chapter 510: Chapter 510: The Disposal of the Daimyo Parasites

Chapter 510: The Disposal of the Daimyo Parasites

”These guys are still restless. Is it because I’ve given them too much face?”

Kenichi looked at the report Shiori handed him, then at the intelligence Onoki had submitted that morning.

His expression was not very good.

But Kenichi could not be blamed for that.

After all, what these people were doing truly angered him.

These foolish people.

Kenichi had spared the lives of these former Daimyo families not because these idiots were of such noble birth, but because they still had some use.

Kenichi deeply understood that in this pathological world, this pathological system had almost become common sense among the people.

In the Shinobi World, what people accepted most easily was the sight of these useless parasites occupying the position of Daimyo and issuing commands from on high.

Although it sounded strange, the operating rules of this world truly were like that.

Therefore, for the sake of stability, Kenichi had specifically chosen not to immediately kill these Daimyo and their families.

However, Kenichi’s action seemed to have given these fools a wrong idea.

They apparently began to believe that Kenichi had not killed them because he intended to let them continue ruling the country from on high in the future.

So these foolish people started committing evil deeds.

Despite being ordinary people from ordinary families, they constantly held themselves in high regard, believing they were descendants of nobility.

Some even demanded that local government employees give them the treatment they deserved and insisted that a portion of the taxes had to be given to them.

Kenichi was so infuriated he almost laughed.

His allergy to stupidity flared up.

These guys were truly foolish, ignorant, and disgusting.

Kenichi’s killing intent was now rising.

Anyway, the Land of Flame had already been established for so long, and everyone had become accustomed to its current system.

These parasites...

Shiori lowered her head and remained silent.

She understood her position very clearly.

She was Kenichi’s secretary, responsible for helping him handle certain matters, and these matters required Kenichi to make his own decisions.

Shiori naturally would not speak out of turn.

As long as Kenichi gave an order, she would carry it out.

If Kenichi did not give an order, Shiori would simply pretend not to know.

It was simple.

Such a work attitude allowed one to live longer.

Shiori saw it very clearly.

She would not hold herself in high regard just because Kenichi was now the country’s leader, nor would she cause Kenichi any trouble.

”Have the leaders of the Procuratorate, the Ministry of Justice, and the Police Department come to see me.”

Kenichi pondered for a moment, then decided to thoroughly eliminate these jumping fools this time.

Regardless of whether these guys were testing him or were truly that stupid, since they had made their move, what Kenichi had to do was cut off their hands.

He had to let them know what they could do and what they could not do.

This would also save him the trouble of these fools constantly bothering him.

Anyway, these Daimyo were useless now.

Kenichi had been diluting the Daimyo’s role in the government.

Now, as long as a document followed proper procedures and had the correct seal, it could be implemented even without a Daimyo’s seal.

This country could no longer accommodate these remnants of the old era.

”Yes, Lord Amamiya.”

Shiori nodded, then quickly walked out.

Kenichi also came to the meeting room.

He looked at the very well-decorated meeting room and smacked his lips.

Although he did not care much for such conventional things, it was clear that as his status grew, his standards and daily treatment had become top-tier.

Even if Kenichi said nothing and made no demands, his subordinates would still do so.

This made Kenichi sigh.

No wonder so many people wanted to climb to the peak of power.

And no wonder those who stood at the peak were completely unwilling to give up their power.

After all, this kind of treatment indeed made one increasingly reluctant to let go.

Kenichi found a seat, picked up the teapot, poured himself a cup of tea, and took a sip.

”Lord Amamiya.”

Soon, Onoki, Nagato, and A pushed open the door and walked in.

Onoki was the head of the Procuratorate, while Nagato was in charge of the Ministry of Justice.

As for the Fourth Raikage, A, this former battle maniac, Kenichi had also found another position for him.

After all, for someone like A, having him lead the Police Department was a good choice.

He had the strength for it.

And according to Shiori’s supervision, his performance was quite good.

Kenichi himself was satisfied.

As long as these former Kage diligently carried out their duties, Kenichi would not treat them unfairly.

After all, in the Shinobi World, strength was ultimately revered.

With strength, one’s status would naturally be higher.

And the Fourth Raikage’s strength was still quite impressive now.

Kenichi scanned the three of them.

Onoki showed a sincere smile when he saw him.

Kenichi also nodded toward him.

Onoki’s work was diligent and responsible.

Although he would sometimes specifically seek benefits for those from the former Iwagakure, Kenichi turned a blind eye to such matters.

After all, there were no saints in this world, and everyone had their own emotions.

Kenichi did not expect everyone to be a saint, so he had no objection to some minor preferential treatment.

When he saw Nagato, Kenichi smiled and even playfully gestured to him.

Nagato rolled his eyes in response, but a faint blush appeared on his face.

Because he knew what that gesture meant.

Kenichi was asking him when he would get married.

Nagato’s relationship with Konan was now somewhat subtle.

With Kenichi establishing the Land of Flame, the entire Shinobi World had entered a state of peace, which greatly satisfied Nagato.

At the very least, Yahiko’s dying wish had been fulfilled.

After this period of relaxation, Nagato began to ponder a question.

What kind of mindset should he live with now?

After all, the old Nagato had lived to fulfill his dear friend’s dying wish.

And now, Kenichi had helped him achieve that wish.

So the current Nagato began to think about how he should live.

After much thought, Nagato decided to maintain this new world and ensure that peace would last forever.

In this context, and with Kenichi’s involvement, Nagato gradually realized his feelings for Konan.

And from Konan’s eyes, he discovered emotions he had deliberately ignored, or even dared not look at, in the past.

This made Nagato a little embarrassed, but he also intended to face this feeling.

However, this issue had remained unaddressed, and Kenichi could not stand it anymore.

Nagato and Konan had been incredibly decisive when fulfilling Yahiko’s dying wish, acting immediately and without hesitation.

But when it came to matters of the heart, these two were like protagonists in a traditional romance anime.

They dragged out a small issue for ages without any resolution, as if their relationship being clarified would bring the entire anime to an end.

It gave Kenichi a stomachache.

So, after glancing at Nagato, Kenichi decided that he would later find a way to quickly push Nagato and Konan’s relationship forward and let them burst this bubble as soon as possible.

After all, in the Shinobi World, Kenichi felt that only they were truly suitable for each other.

Besides Nagato, who else would be a better match for Konan?

And besides Konan, who else could be worthy of Nagato?

So Kenichi intended to make these two emotional blockheads clarify their relationship as soon as possible.

Then Kenichi looked at A.

When A saw Kenichi, he still turned his head away somewhat unhappily, but he ultimately sat down obediently without any other movements.

Seeing this, Kenichi knew that although A had accepted his current life, he was still somewhat unaccustomed to it.

Kenichi was not in a hurry.

As long as A could work for the Land of Flame, nothing else mattered.

As for when he would fully accept the newly formed Land of Flame?

That was just a matter of time.

Kenichi knew that with enough time, these people would eventually accept their new lives.

So Kenichi was not too worried.

”The reason I called you here this time is to resolve the issue of the former Daimyo of the Five Great Nations and their families.”

Kenichi spoke.

He was not conducting experiments in the lab right now.

His main body had come here for the meeting specifically to thoroughly resolve the lingering issue of the Five Great Nations’ Daimyo.

These people were so disgusting that they made him uncomfortable.

Kenichi only wanted to quickly kill these people, but they were involved with a fairly wide range of people.

Kenichi could not quite understand why, even though these people had already been stripped of their Daimyo titles, some people still eagerly flocked to them to be ordered around.

After pondering for a while, Kenichi thought these people might simply be idle and looking for trouble.

Perhaps they had cheap backbones and deep servility.

Or perhaps they wanted to advance further by using these Daimyo.

After all, very few ninja clans collaborated with the Daimyo.

There were a few, but they were ultimately a minority.

”Why not just kill them?”

A was still as simple and crude as ever.

Kenichi’s mouth twitched, and then he glanced at Onoki.

If it were that simple, Kenichi would not have called Onoki and the others over.

The reason they were here was precisely because these Daimyo were connected to some people.

So how to deal with them needed careful consideration in order to minimize the impact on social stability.

Onoki knew it was his turn to speak, so he began explaining the current situation of these Daimyo.

After listening, A’s eyes became somewhat strange.

He truly had not expected that even at this point, some people would still willingly serve the Daimyo.

What were they hoping to gain?

A was very clear that the Daimyo no longer had their former status and wealth.

Their wealth had already been confiscated by Kenichi and deposited into the national treasury, leaving them only enough property for a stable life.

The rest was completely insufficient.

It was not even enough to support ninja, let alone hire Guardian Ninja.

Yet despite this, some ninja were still willing to serve the Daimyo.

This made A almost unable to hold back a laugh.

After all, even he, who still had some opinions about Kenichi, had not thought of contacting those Daimyo to do anything.

He knew very well that these Daimyo had been able to occupy this world only because they had their own offensive and defensive alliances.

Moreover, the Kage had not cared much about these Daimyo.

The Daimyo governed ordinary people, while the Kage governed ninja.

And only ninja were the key to changing this world.

”So, how do we deal with those connected to the Daimyo?”

Nagato asked Kenichi.

Kenichi pondered for a moment, then tossed the question back to Nagato.

Was that not the main purpose of calling Nagato and the others here?

Otherwise, why would he call them?

If Kenichi were to handle it himself, he would have just done it directly.

There would have been no need for Nagato and the others.

He had called them over to see how they would handle this matter.

Seeing this, Nagato exchanged glances with Onoki and A.

They also understood Kenichi’s intention, so they discussed it directly in front of him.

Kenichi listened quietly.

Although he did not want to handle too many affairs of the Land of Flame, the Land of Flame was ultimately a country he had built himself.

No matter what, Kenichi felt that he should pay more attention.

Soon, Nagato and the others finished their discussion.

All members of the Daimyo families would be executed.

Those involved would be dealt with according to the circumstances.

If they were deeply involved and had committed other crimes, the punishment could be as severe as the death penalty.

If they were merely involved, they would receive a few years of imprisonment.

After the discussion, Kenichi nodded noncommittally.

He was quite satisfied with this outcome.

It was handled very appropriately.

This relieved Kenichi considerably, allowing him to slack off and conduct more experiments.

Otherwise, if he had to handle everything daily, Kenichi would not be able to do anything else and would just spend his days dealing with government affairs.

”Alright, then proceed according to this plan. All original assets of the Daimyo families will be confiscated, and their properties will be handled by the local government offices.”

Kenichi nodded.

Now that the discussion result was out, it was time for A and the others to take action.

After all, A and his department were the police, and Kenichi had entrusted domestic security to them.

As for the army, Kenichi maintained it, but these armies were now more like high-level talent training bases.

At present, there were no external enemies in the Shinobi World.
