Chapter 505: The Reborn Shinobi World

”He won’t be stabbed to death, nor will he be killed by others, but he might die from malnutrition? That’s quite interesting. To some extent, did he achieve immortality by accelerating the metabolism of his body’s cells?”

Amado’s tone carried a trace of regret.

”I think that idea has some possibility, but if that’s all there is to it, then the existence of this experimental subject itself doesn’t hold much value, unless the ninjutsu he possesses is exceptionally powerful. However, if someone stronger than the Evil God appears, then that ninjutsu probably won’t be able to exert any effect.”

Amado truly believed Hidan had the potential to be excellent material.

But since Hidan only achieved immortality through this method, his existence was not very significant.

At least, not to Amado.

”I no longer need this experimental subject myself.”

Orochimaru shook his head.

He did not need Hidan for a second experiment now.

After all, he had already completed most of the experiments he had intended to do.

Moreover, Hidan had already been tortured into a brain-dead state by him.

Such a person held no further use in his hands.

If his disciple wanted him, then Kenichi could take him.

”Then I’ll take him?”

Kenichi smiled.

Although Amado and Orochimaru did not need Hidan, Kenichi still knew Hidan’s abilities.

While Hidan’s abilities had some limitations, to some extent, Hidan was exceptionally strong.

Kenichi planned to test whether Hidan’s ability had an upper limit.

If not, then the subsequent matters would become much simpler.

Orochimaru and Amado had no objections.

Since that was the case, Kenichi took Hidan’s body.

Now that the parasite had been implanted, the next step was to wait for the parasite to grow.

Then, they could see whether the parasite could control Hidan.

If it could reawaken Hidan’s lost brainwaves, then Hidan would still have some use.

Looking at Hidan, Kenichi suddenly recalled some past events.

He remembered once seeing people online complain about how Hidan’s ability was so buggy, wondering if Hidan could just kill Tsunade directly if he went to Konoha and rummaged through a trash can for something stained with her blood.

After all, if Hidan used blood to activate his ability, then theoretically, he could indeed kill Tsunade.

Kenichi felt a bit speechless thinking about that statement.

He had to admit, when it came to stirring up trouble, those netizens were truly skilled.

”I hope Hidan can give me some surprises then. That way, I won’t have to face that guy directly. Although I’ll have to face him sooner or later, just thinking about that guy gives me a headache. If even the current Madara can’t be dealt with, then if I want to deal with the other party, the price I pay might be even greater.”

Kenichi brought Hidan back to his laboratory.

The next step was to have the parasite stimulate Hidan and see whether Hidan’s brainwaves could regain consciousness.

Kenichi then decided to resolve some other matters first.

For example, Sasori’s situation.

Kenichi had already put off Sasori’s matter for a long time.

After all, Kenichi had indeed killed Chiyo.

Now that Chiyo was dead, although Sasori had not said anything, Kenichi knew that Sasori’s heart would still harbor some emotions.

Therefore, if Kenichi did not want this matter to affect his relationship with Sasori, he had to find a way to deal with it.

Otherwise, this matter might become a fuse in the future, igniting who knew what.

Kenichi did not know.

Sasori’s current department was the Technology and Industry Department, also known as the Industry Department.

Kenichi felt that Sasori’s abilities could be better developed in the Industry Department, so he asked Sasori for his opinion and arranged for him to join the Industry Department.

However, although Sasori was currently working in the Industry Department, he did not have much time to stay there.

There were still many matters to be dealt with, such as his work on the Unit-01 robot.

Although the Unit-01 robot had played a significant role in the war, Sasori clearly felt that the machine could still receive new improvements.

Kenichi, of course, would not object.

Instead, he highly valued Sasori’s improvements in these areas.

Throughout the Shinobi World, Kenichi felt that if he could drive a Gundam-like mobile suit in the future, then his wish would basically rest on Sasori.

After all, only a genius puppeteer like Sasori would be interested in this field.

Even after Orochimaru researched Puppetry, he had not delved too deeply into it.

Orochimaru only had a certain understanding of Puppetry.

To reach Sasori’s level, even Orochimaru would need to spend too much time.

As for Kenichi himself, he had even less interest in that direction.

Kenichi did not intend to research Puppetry.

Puppetry itself was not particularly significant to Kenichi.

He was currently using parasites, and parasites, to some extent, could also be considered a more advanced form of Puppetry.

When Kenichi went to find Sasori, Sasori was indeed not in the Industry Department, but somewhere else.

Kenichi felt a bit helpless after hearing the staff’s response, but in his heart, he also knew it was time to resolve this matter.

Because Kenichi now discovered that Sasori was not in the capital.

He had actually gone to the original location of Sunagakure.

Humans were inherently strange creatures.

Their emotions were fickle and sometimes very complex.

Just like some people who, only a few days ago, could hate something to the bone, even wishing to personally destroy that village.

But once that village was truly destroyed, and once they lost the people they cherished, that person might instead regret it.

It was clear that Sasori was in such a state.

Kenichi clearly understood what Sasori was thinking.

He also knew that if this matter was not handled properly, an insurmountable chasm might form between himself and Sasori in the future.

Such a thing was unacceptable to Kenichi.

So Kenichi immediately boarded an airship and flew toward the location of Sunagakure.

As for the experiment, Kenichi decided to wait for a day for now.

Waiting a day or two would not matter.

Hidan’s brainwaves would also need some time to recover.

And with Kenichi’s departure, the atmosphere of the entire new capital instantly became strange.

However, all of this was still within Kenichi’s control.

Kenichi intended to see whether any fools would jump out while he was away.

That would make it easier for him to clean them up.

Once they were cleaned up, the new capital could enter a period of formal and rapid development.

...

”That guy’s gone. Don’t you two have any other ideas?”

In the familiar tavern, Mei looked at her two former opponents and asked unwillingly.

But what she received in return was silence and shaking heads.

Onoki even directly expressed that he had no inner turmoil.

He would only do what he was supposed to do.

”It’s about time you truly learned to give up, little girl. Even if you don’t think for yourself now, you should think for those who once followed you.”

”Not everyone wants to overthrow the current country and reestablish the old village. And even if you asked the former residents of the Land of Water now whether they want this current country or the old Land of Water, I think the answer is obvious.”

Onoki looked at Mei and spoke calmly.

”I can tell you clearly now, in the Land of Earth, no commoner misses the old Land of Earth or the old Daimyo. They are now praising this new, emerging country.”

Onoki was very open-minded.

Although the entire village had perished at his hands, it was not complete destruction.

At the very least, most people in the village now lived more peacefully and tranquilly.

As long as they did not stir up trouble, there would not be much upheaval in the Shinobi World.

Then peace could be expected.

The thought of peace made him feel somewhat uncomfortable.

He had not heard such a word in a long time.

What a beautiful, fleeting, and somewhat unrealistic word it was.

But he had never expected that one day, he himself could personally achieve such a fragile and beautiful wish.

”Although at first I was very unconvinced by that guy, I even felt that I shouldn’t have surrendered at all, and that it was entirely because of your existence that I had no choice but to surrender, I must also admit that everything in this current country is very good.”

A drained his cup in one gulp, placed it on the table, and spoke with a trace of unwillingness on his face.

”Although it no longer has the Land of Lightning or my former village, my villagers, my comrades, my familiar friends, they are all living in this country now. I can even invite them out to drink until we’re dead drunk, completely disregarding what will happen tomorrow or the day after.”

”Such days are too rare. I don’t have to worry about fighting others every day, nor do I have to worry about trivial matters.”

Although his expression showed reluctance, his tone carried a trace of relief.

At first, he could not let go either.

But as time passed, as he saw his old friends, as he realized that the entire village was better off after its dissolution, and as those friends became happier, he slowly let go.

After all, as Onoki said, as long as they could not defeat those two guys, all their so-called wishes and dreams would be nonsense.

Since that was the case, why not see what heights that astonishing young man could lead the entire Shinobi World to?

What kind of world would it become?

A was very curious about this question, and his body was still in good shape.

A felt that he would probably live to see it.

He wanted to see whether the other party could do better than himself.

And could this so-called peace truly be maintained for a long time?

”Perhaps you’re right. Perhaps I really should give up.”

Mei looked at the scene before her with dejection.

She was all alone.

What could she do?

She had also sought out other former ninja of the Land of Water.

But after hearing her idea, those people had flatly refused.

Some had even tried to contact the secret police department of the Land of Flame.

She had also received warnings from those people.

Now that even these two people in front of her had given up, she had no chance of winning.

Even if she were to do something recklessly, the only outcome would probably be death.

Just like the former Sannin of Konoha.

Two of them had chosen death, and now their graves were buried in the Land of Water.

Although what Kenichi had done was excessive, it had to be said that he truly respected those two ninja.

He had given them the treatment they deserved and had not used their bodies for anything.

This made the former Mei feel somewhat tempted.

She also wanted to die, and she did try.

But she only met with failure.

Because she found that she did not even have the right to die.

Sometimes she wondered whether Kenichi was doing this just to show off his achievements.

So that when he reflected in the dead of night, he could proudly think that he had now defeated the Kage of the Five Great Nations and successfully taken over the entire world?

”It’s best that you’ve come to terms with it, little girl. I still want to drink and chat with you more in the future.”

Onoki smiled happily.

”Although you, little girl, are a bit radical, some things are fine as long as you see them clearly. Time always passes, and you can also focus all your energy on what you are doing now. For example, you can fully take care of the former ninja of the Land of Water and the commoners. They are the key to forming the entire Land of Water.”

Mei silently raised her cup and clinked it with Onoki’s.

Onoki was right.

She had not cared about everyone in the Land of Water for a very long time.

Meanwhile, Shiori opened her eyes, took out an evaluation form, and changed the danger level to [Under Observation].
