Arceus's Pirate Journey

Chapter 995: Chapter 994: World Shaken

Clatter...

On the Shampodi Islands, a journalist’s marker pen fell to the ground, along with the hand holding his notebook. As a journalist, this was unprofessional, but he had just witnessed a sight he had never seen before in his life.

The initial changes in the sky didn’t shock him; it wasn’t about the lack of power, but rather because the prelude of that attack was similar to Kizaru’s. It wasn’t until the attack was ready, unfolding like the Eye of Destruction, that he realized what true terror was.

Earthquakes, magma, tsunamis—the various assaults Marinford had faced before were enough to destroy an island, yet compared to this final mysterious attack, those seemed almost friendly.

Even though he couldn’t fight, he could feel that will of destruction through the screen.

What was more shocking was that someone managed to repel that attack.

”Big news... big news! This time the front page sections won’t be enough!! Did you get it all down? Quickly, send it back to headquarters!!”

Coming back to his senses, the journalist shook his partner, who was the photographer for their news agency, responsible for recording the transmitted video from Marinford.

When the live signal was cut off earlier, he missed the news at first due to negligence and regretted it for a long time.

”I got it! Stop rushing me, just write your article, but right now I want to kill the guy on site with the Image Radio Snail. What kind of worthless person could film such a scene like that!”

The broadcast signal of the top war was only relayed to the Shampodi Islands, so journalists from around the world gathered here, capturing first-hand information on the war.

But now, nearly everyone’s necks were tilted to maintain a horizontal view with the screen image.

Even these ordinary journalists were shocked, let alone Morgans.

At the headquarters of the World Economic News Agency, chaos had already erupted.

Papers flew everywhere inside the office and it was extremely noisy. With all their might, they tried to arrange for all the regional branches of the newspapers, and just now, Morgans, as the mainstay, had fainted from over-excitement.

”President! Morgans President! Wake up!”

With the secretary’s emergency care, Morgans regained consciousness. Despite appearing as an ordinary albatross bird man, he had quite a decent fighting ability, stronger than the average person.

This was all honed when he was reporting on the front lines; without this, he would have died long ago. The only reason for his fainting was being too excited.

Big news was his lifelong pursuit, and the top war in his eyes was a beautiful beginning; such a grand war was the opportunity to find explosive points.

During the duration of the war, the headlines of the World Economic News Agency’s newspapers were constantly changing.

[The World’s Strongest Man vs. Navy Headquarters]

[The Continuation of Sin, Fire Fist Ace is actually Gol D. Roger’s Son]

[The Untold Secrets of Roger and Whitebeard]

[Son of Dragon, The Most Vicious Bloodline]

[Whitebeard Rejuvenates, Immortality Potion?!]

The headlines they accumulated were enough for a week’s rotation; Morgans found some calming medication from the drawer to soothe his excited heart after seeing Whitebeard rejuvenate.

Yet he never expected that the Navy would wield such a horrifyingly powerful weapon, and more critically, the attack was actually blocked!

”Don’t mind me! I’m fine, go arrange the newspapers, the headlines worldwide have to be ours! This is truly big news! The might of the nation destroyer has reached such heights, it’s exhilarating!”

Even though the live signal on site wasn’t clear, the glow from the Thousand Cosmos Bracelet on the Origin was still visible, as well as that extraordinary figure.

The smoke concealed the shape of the Origin, but this mysterious feel, being half-hidden, lent it an unspoken intimidating power.

”Let me think, indiscriminate attacks from above, the ruthless government disregarding soldiers’ lives versus the pirates protecting their subordinates. What a beautiful contrast this is.”

”President... if we write like this, won’t the World Government target us....”

”What nonsense are you spouting? They’ve already got their eyes on us long ago, but don’t worry, this isn’t their bottom line, just do it like this,”

”Yes!”

Morgans’ hand slightly trembled as he grabbed the oxygen tank next to him, pressing the custom-made respirator against his beak to take a deep breath, calming his excited heart.

”Make that photo a bit more flattering! The Hundred Beasts revere that person in a unique way, and if they hold a grudge over a photo, that would be too unfortunate.”

Morgans sat back down at the command desk, starting to direct the reporters below to prepare newspaper modules.

For Arceus, this ”special anomaly,” he surprisingly had a particular understanding. After all, he didn’t like showing his true face, always using albatross feathers to shield his identity. In his view, the other party was probably the same type.

Moreover, many in the Hundred Beasts have a similar style. King’s and Shaina’s true appearances are mysteries to the outside world. According to underworld news, everyone who has seen their true faces ended up dead.

”Send a message to the people on the Shampodi Islands, even if the ones from Marinford were unprofessional, they should all show their professional qualities for me. I want to receive all the developments happening next as soon as possible!”
