Arceus's Pirate Journey

Chapter 958: Chapter 957: Hundred Beasts Pot Culture

”The human auction house... wasn’t it burned down by Miss Yamato before?”

”Yeah, and I’ve done it before too, but it’s useless. The allure of profit drives these people mad. Even if you destroy them completely, new human auction houses will soon emerge.

The root here is rotten. If you don’t cure the whole thing, plucking off more bad leaves won’t help.”

Olga regularly cleans out a batch of human traffickers each year, but this only treats the symptoms, not the root cause. For the sake of profit, some will always walk this path, enslaving their weaker compatriots to gain their own benefits.

The Shampodi Islands are right under the nose of the World Government. The fact that a human auction house can exist here indicates the World Government turns a blind eye to it. After all, the place with the most slaves in the world isn’t elsewhere, but the Holy Land - Mary Geoise.

”Those Heavenly Celestial Dragons are pretty easy to fool. Let me think about which disguise to use this time.”

As she grew, Olga acquired more and more disguises. Some notorious pirates she had eliminated still found no peace in death, as Olga often took on their identities for some secret actions, causing the Navy a huge headache.

Some of Olga’s actions were seamless, with no one suspecting her, but once you do something, traces always remain. Sometimes their disguises would give away little clues.

Her ability is illusions, which isn’t a secret to the Navy. But her illusions are so real that the Navy personnel can’t be sure if it’s an illusion or the real person, ultimately having no choice but to address both possibilities.

”Wait, you guys better not follow me. Return first. Recently, all cadres except those stationed on the islands have been called back to Ghost Island. Something big might be happening.

I’m enough for Shampodi. You take these little ones back first.”

Having too many subordinates is not very beneficial for Olga. A place without any allies is where she can perform the best.

Both she and Queen are no match for King in one-on-one duels, whether in personal defense, attack, or speed.

Even in terms of technique, King surpasses both her and Queen by a large margin. But in group battles, King can’t compare to the two of them; this is the difference brought by their abilities.

Under Olga’s arrangement, Rami and Iscariot took the newly adopted children back first, while she and Elizabeth headed towards the human auction house.

...

”Where did Pappag go? Isn’t he Keimi’s master? How come he’s missing at a time like this?”

”Didn’t notice, he seemed to have gone to that luxury shop to borrow a Radio Snail, right? Forget about him for now. Let’s figure out how to get Keimi back first. We still have a lot left from last competition’s prize and treasure, it should be enough...”

Luffy and the others were discussing how to rescue Keimi. In most people’s eyes, these guys were just pirates; they couldn’t preach justice, but they were a group of true friends.

Even if they just met by chance, they wouldn’t just walk away. Instead, they gathered information and arrived at the human auction house.

And behind the auction house, a group of strange people appeared. The Red Heart Pirates and the Kid Pirates had come here for unknown reasons, but they all seemed to be injured.

Kid’s arms were wrapped with bandages, Law had band-aids on his face, and Killer’s neck was also bandaged, looking like they were not in good shape.

The previous chaos had left almost all the Super Rookies involved injured, especially Kid and Killer, who had attracted a lot of firepower and nearly got stuck in it. If not for the appearance of the Heavenly Celestial Dragons, they might not have escaped so quickly.

At this time, Kid was glaring at Law, seemingly wanting to kill him with his eyes, while Law ignored Kid completely, watching the slaves being auctioned with a slightly amused look.

The mermaid, being the headline item, wasn’t wheeled out until the end, and it was at this time that Olga arrived at the backstage. Her idea was simple: leave an illusion and quietly take the person away without anyone noticing.

By the time those people realized, she would have long left with Keimi.

However, due to having her phone turned off, she arrived a bit late. When she got there, all she saw was an old man with white hair.

”Hey, hey, I say, is backstage in this auction so strong? They even caught someone like you?”

”What are you talking about? I’m just an ordinary old man, out of money for booze, so I sold myself.”

”Is Silvers Rayleigh, the Netherworld King, just an ordinary old man too? You really have some bad taste.

If you were really just an ordinary old man, shouldn’t you be panicking or calling for help when I suddenly appear in front of you?”

Others may not recognize it, but Olga had seen this face in intelligence reports. The former Vice Captain of the Roger Pirates, known as the ”Pirate King’s Right Hand,” even at his old age, was not someone a mere auction house could handle.

”And you? Are the disasters under Kaidou, like me, here for pocket money?”

”Who... um...”

The guards in the back noticed Olga appearing, but before he could speak, a transparent tail blade pierced through his skull and brainstem. Elizabeth also revealed her form.

”Olga, the person is upfront.”

”Coming. You play your game here; I’m curious which unlucky guy will buy you.”

”I say, shouldn’t you respect your elders and help me remove this explosive collar?”

”Not interested. Enjoy yourself.”

Olga’s appearance was merely to greet this living elder, get used to his way of speaking, so she could later take on his guise. Once her goal was achieved, she went directly to the front stage.

But by the time she went out, the auction had already turned into a chaotic mess. Charlos, a Heavenly Celestial Dragon, had been punched by Luffy, and the reason was simple. He saw a precious pet named Hegoro and wanted to take it.

Originally, since Charlos bought Keimi, Luffy was already displeased with him, and now wanting to take Hegoro made Luffy naturally treat him with no courtesy.

”Interesting, this year’s newbies are really brave, daring to hit a Heavenly Celestial Dragon like that. It’s making me itch to join.”

Hitting a Heavenly Celestial Dragon is a dream for many, but most don’t have the courage. Now, the opportunity has come.

”There are two more Heavenly Celestial Dragons. Elizabeth, do you want to hit one?”

”You mean...”

”Well, someone has already started. In that case, it would be a waste not to hit them.”

The Hundred Beasts have two traditions, and one of them is picking up kids, a tradition that continues to this day.

As for the other tradition, it’s called shifting the blame. Someone always ends up inexplicably taking the blame, as is the case with Luffy, whom Olga has now chosen.
