Arceus's Pirate Journey

Chapter 987: Chapter 986: The Blackbeard Pirates Disband!

At this moment, the rocky wall behind Blackbeard was pierced through by the aftershock of Giga Impact. Through the holes in the rock, one could even see King’s fierce gaze, because Blackbeard’s chest now bore a grotesque bloody hole.

The area around the wound was entirely charred black, carbonized under King’s flaming influence, leaving Blackbeard’s body in a state that couldn’t possibly get any worse.

The internal organs were severely damaged, and the blood vessels near the wound had all ruptured. Faced with such injuries, even the most skilled surgeons would feel helpless; each of his wounds was worthy of a medical record in the annals.

Ordinarily, someone with such a huge hole in their chest would be dead already, Ace being an example of that. King’s blue flames are no less intense than Akainu’s ordinary magma, but Blackbeard was exceptionally special.

His abnormal constitution still maintained Blackbeard’s life, with darkness swirling around his body, attempting to save its host’s life. Despite Blackbeard’s constant setbacks upon his appearance, this was indeed his most dire situation.

”It hurts... It hurts so much... Damn you...”

”You should be thankful you are a freak. I have countless methods to make one suffer without endangering their life, yet I am unwilling to use them on you. You might as well just obediently die.”

As an expert torturer, King had an intricate understanding of the human structure, knowing how to avoid vital organs, and could stab dozens of times without endangering life, which to him was introductory.

However, Blackbeard’s resilience was so absurd that King decided against resorting to those means.

”You madman...”

Blackbeard lifted his arm to grasp King, but alas, he couldn’t reach King, whose height was six meters and thirteen centimeters, towering over the less-than-three-meter-and-fifty-centimeter Blackbeard by half.

Although in this world many people had bodies structured like mutants, with disproportionate limbs aplenty, such as Jack’s slightly short lower half.

But King was not among them; his physique was comparatively balanced, resulting in an arm span far surpassing Blackbeard’s. With the length of Enma itself, Blackbeard could only grasp air.

”My dreams... cannot end here... You cannot kill me! Dark Gravity!”

A formidable dark gravity suddenly appeared on Blackbeard’s hands, trying to drag King before him into his grip.

Though the gravity was powerful, its duration was brief. Before its effect could unfold, the darkness on Blackbeard’s hand dissipated entirely.

King’s blade had already left Blackbeard’s body. King didn’t pull the blade out but rather slashed downward, severing most of Blackbeard’s torso.

Then he flipped the blade, swung upward again, dividing Blackbeard into four parts, though not evenly.

Even so, Blackbeard’s head shockingly still emitted a scream.

”Astounding vitality, but no one is unkillable, you are no exception.”

Whoosh!

Enma pierced into the center of Blackbeard’s forehead; as King withdrew the Enma after slicing Blackbeard into several parts, his body scattered across the ground.

With King’s thrust, the brain of Blackbeard was penetrated again, Armament Haki piercing through Blackbeard’s skull, shredding its contents into pieces, silencing Blackbeard entirely.

”Enma, now it’s your turn.”

A strange blade hum emitted from Enma, seeming to respond to King’s command. Dark purple energy dispersed from Enma’s blade, swirling around Blackbeard’s scattered corpse.

Nearby, others collectively felt a chill within and heard some horrifying cries.

”Yugoku Karyuo!”

Then King’s fire morphed into two blue demonic dragons, spewing flames upon Blackbeard’s scattered body parts. Amidst a stench of burning was blown away by the sea breeze, leaving only a few patches of charred black markings on the ground.

Destroy the soul, annihilate the body, erase the traces; King refused to believe Blackbeard was not dead after all this.

He sustained the combination of King’s Giga Impact and slashing assault on his body, was quartered thereafter, his brain pierced leaving nothing behind, even his so-called soul was severed and devoured by Enma, dying an utterly thorough death.

If he still couldn’t kill him, King could only return to summon the gods, as it was beyond human capacity to handle further.

The blade hum of Enma had yet to cease, King even sensed some delight within it, seemingly having consumed some particularly delicious nourishment.

”At last, it’s dealt with, but this guy... knew quite a bit...”

King looked towards the remaining members of the Blackbeard Pirates; although he hadn’t responded to any of Blackbeard’s words, he couldn’t deny Blackbeard indeed had a certain understanding of the Lunarians.

Many people were aware of the Lunarians; after all, they were a special bounty where mere information provided could earn a hefty reward, but few knew King and Shaina were indeed Lunarians.

Kaidou, Arceus, Queen, Zeraora, these were the individuals among the Hundred Beasts whom their siblings personally acknowledged as Lunarians. Even Yamato only knew they were a rare race.

Others perhaps had some speculations, but there was no solid proof. Charlotte Linlin was an example, she had some presumptions regarding King and Shaina’s identity, yet she wouldn’t report them to the World Government, instead preferring to bear Lunarian offspring.

Being a partial ally unit, leaving them be temporarily wasn’t a big deal, but the remaining members of the Blackbeard Pirates were different.

Who knows whether Blackbeard spoke some unrevealed matters before his death; for prudence, it was safer to eliminate them all.

.....

Meanwhile, other members of the Blackbeard Pirates also witnessed Blackbeard’s dire state, but none of them mourned for him.

”Meow-haha-ha-ha, Teach is dead now. From now on, the Blackbeard Pirates shall be renamed the Pizarro Pirates, and I’ll be your Captain!”

With Blackbeard’s demise, Pizarro had already plotted to take over his captain position, but nobody agreed to his demand.

”Doof, doof, don’t make jokes, Pizarro. Who would want someone like you, a damned feline, to be the captain? You were the one who was most enthusiastic about Teach, and now betray him so quickly?”

Vasco Shot responded disdainfully to Pizarro’s words, yet his eyes were continuously surveying around, plotting his next move.

”Enough talk, the Blackbeard Pirates are now disbanded. Go wherever you choose.

But before that, we must solve the trouble right before us!”

Shiryu chided these pirates angrily. Though he was imprisoned by Magellan, his status and treatment had not changed, and he received external newspapers daily, gaining insights into the situation outside.

Unlike those who hadn’t seen daylight for years, he was more aware of how terrifying monsters Shaina and King were...
