Arceus's Pirate Journey

Chapter 994: Chapter 993: Fallen Skies, Divine Power

Yamato couldn’t just smack Queen down with a single blow, that wasn’t her style. Facing Queen, who started ”playing dirty” after failing to snatch away, she had no solution.

”Uncle Queen, what’s the point of this? Weren’t you doing pretty well with Hancock?”

”Look at my mechanical hand, I have to replace it with a new one when I get back. Does this look good?”

The Perfume Femur is different from the beam’s petrification. Alongside petrification, it also carries the impact of Hancock’s kick, which resulted in Queen’s mechanical hand being completely ruined.

It’s not that Hancock was excessive; it’s just that this fake match is particularly tricky. Her Love-Love Fruit is also a Rule Type ability, and its petrification effect is arguably more terrifying than the Hobby-Hobby Fruit.

When the user of the Hobby-Hobby Fruit loses consciousness, the fruit’s effects dissipate. However, the Love-Love Fruit is different. If Hancock petrifies someone, the effect won’t be lifted unless Hancock cancels the ability voluntarily, or the petrified person’s Haki is strong enough to resist the Love-Love Fruit.

Otherwise, even if Hancock is killed, the petrification won’t be lifted. Even a second user of the Love-Love Fruit can’t undo the previous user’s petrification.

Queen may have honed a formidable Armament Haki under Kaidou and external threats, but it’s not enough to be immune to Hancock’s abilities. The key issue is, he’s lustful.

For someone pure and desires nothing, the Love-Love Fruit wouldn’t petrify so easily. But Queen is different.

If Hancock changed her combat style, the current Queen might have been turned into a stone statue and taken away already.

This is a character issue, Hancock’s ability happens to counter Queen’s personality.

”Can’t you use someone else?”

”Someone else? No, Lady Yamato, you have to trust my intuition. I feel something filthy has spotted me, it’s safer to stay beside Lord Arceus.”

”Then what about Father next?”

”Lady Yamato, you’re still young. This performance surely won’t sit well with Brother Kaidou, there’s no escaping now, so I have to drag someone down with me. Have you heard of the water ghost legend from Wano Kuni?”

If it ends up with you in trouble or me, it’ll all depend on Brother Kaidou’s mood. He might fight until he’s satisfied and forget about us completely.”

Yamato said nothing, just kept staring at Queen, making him uneasy.

”Brother Kaidou is just that kind of person, Lady Yamato, you should know this.”

”I know, but Uncle Queen, I’ll remember what happened today.”

”Yamato, Queen, what are you two talking about over there?”

Seeing Queen and Yamato debating in the corner, Arceus called out to them, temporarily shelving the issue at least until they returned to Ghost Island. Kaidou wouldn’t cause any ridiculous incidents.

”Nothing, foster father, I’m thinking of how to repay Uncle Queen in the future.”

”Repayment? Forget it, suit yourself. Queen, what’s the meaning of those Navy signals?”

Arceus wouldn’t interfere in personal relationships, and the internal scuffles within the Hundred Beasts never ceased, just on a larger scale than external ones. His focus remained on the battlefield.

High above, Navy signalers waved flags, seemingly conveying a message.

On such a battlefield, ordinary communication methods are hard to implement. While the Navy has speakers that can expand sound throughout Marinfanto, enemies can hear it too. Thus, they resorted to traditional flag signals.

Pirates originally didn’t understand such information, but due to Doflamingo, Vergo had climbed to the Vice Admiral position within the Navy. Obtaining semaphore signals was naturally easy.

”Please wait a moment... all units keep away from enemy main general, quickly disengage from combat, escape promptly... that’s what it means, what is the Navy planning?”

Flipping through his little notebook, Queen quickly deciphered the Navy signaler’s intent, and as the orders were relayed, the Navy started moving again.

On such a large battlefield, someone is bound to notice the semaphore signals, and afterward, they’ll relay them to nearby comrades, completing the message transmission.

By now, the Navy started to move, apart from a few who were in a killing frenzy, most obeyed the order, steering clear of those dangerous areas.

This differentiates the Navy from most pirates; their order execution is more thorough.

Yet the battle hasn’t ended; they continue fighting other pirates.

...

”Sakazuki, it seems there’s a new arrangement from above, stop for now.”

Kizaru looked rather disheveled; the Cloak of Justice behind him had vanished. Receiving orders from the Navy’s Command Department, of course, he wouldn’t choose to defy.

”Withdraw first, I’ll follow suit shortly.”

”Sakazuki...”

Akainu didn’t retreat immediately but continued fighting Whitebeard. Facing this, Kizaru rejoined the battle. Both being Logia-type users, they could handle unexpected situations.

...

The battle continued, but the sky began changing. Clouds seemed drawn by an unknown force, spinning like a vortex in the sky. The light gradually dimmed, shadows blanketed Marinfanto.

Common folks paid no mind to the sky’s change, but the stronger ones sensed the anomaly.

Kizaru used Yasakani no Magatama to push back Whitebeard; even Akainu stopped chasing, cautiously eyeing the sky, as even they hadn’t experienced anything like this.

Meanwhile, Sengoku, battling Kaidou, also distanced himself from Kaidou, watching the vortex center in the sky with Kaidou looking rather annoyed.

”Damn it, how come there’s always something bizarre interfering with my battles today?!”

Kaidou angrily shot a Hot Breath at the sky, but his attack sank without a trace like mud to the sea, not stirring any ripples.

Aboard the Origin, Yamato looked up at the sky, her body was signaling danger, and what made her feel the danger was the mysterious vortex above.

”It seems there’s... something up there?”

”Yamato, get behind me.”

”Yes, foster father.”

Yamato asked no questions; she hadn’t heard this phrase for years. Only during her childhood when Arceus would go out, he’d remind her of this.

Many years later, hearing this again was not good news for Yamato, as it meant Arceus considered the sky’s presence might threaten her.

”Interesting, eight hundred years of heritage, indeed something exists.”

Above the sky, a terrifying eye seemed to open within the clouds. The dazzling light illuminated all of Marinfanto, the blinding radiance shuttered many eyes, while a massive beam of light had gathered.

Under this force, the air seemed to twist, from below, the sky seemingly hid a monstrous beast poised to tear open the sky and unleash its wrath.

The next moment, the beast found its breakthrough, the twisted sky split with a fierce gap, indescribably terrifying beams fell from the sky, splitting into several rays, searching for their targets like serpents hissing.

The frightful aura halted everyone below, helplessly awaiting the judgment above, the indescribable force quelling any courage to resist from within.

The light curtain gradually descended, the power akin to the sky falling weighed heavily on everyone’s heart.

Below, faces turned pale under the beam’s illumination. Even if the beams weren’t aimed directly, many gave up struggling, helplessly slumping to the ground, awaiting fate’s arrival.

But events unfolded differently from expectations; the anticipated destruction didn’t arrive. A similarly mighty beam rose from the ground, forcibly halting the attack falling from the sky in mid-air, even pushing it back gradually.

”Foster father... what is... that thing?”

”Maybe an Ancient Weapon or some super weapon, but don’t worry, it’ll soon end.”

The Thousand Cosmos Bracelet gleamed, the force released by Arceus completely pushed it back.

”For a judgment, this is far from enough.”

Boom!—Hum!

Before the force fully dissipated, Arceus’s attack pushed it back above, causing a complete explosion.

Like a helium flash, the explosion occurred in the sky, the light of death illuminating every corner.

After the massive energy burst, the sweeping wind engulfed all of Marinfanto, countless Navies and pirates blown around, those too close to the explosion’s center were directly pinned to the ground.

Only the Origin was enveloped by a rainbow light, standing firm in the explosion, and all of this was observed by the Radio Snail in Buggy’s hand, transmitting across every world corner...
