Arceus's Pirate Journey

Chapter 957: Chapter 956: Shampodi in Chaos

Law was very annoyed, extremely annoyed, in his mind, he had already dissected Drake several times.

He and Rami were making conversation because she might be his biological sister, and in subsequent conversation, Law confirmed this, but what was Drake up to?

Showing off in front of his sister, what exactly was this guy trying to do?!

”Trafalgar, I’m not here to fight.”

”I didn’t want a fight either, just thought I’d cut you down.”

”...”

He had assessed the Super Rookies from his own generation, and according to his analysis, Kid’s crew was the most unstable factor. Law was quite scheming but relatively calm, he should know what the consequences of acting in Shampodi would be.

However, once he took action, Law appeared more like a madman, while Kid, due to his physical condition, didn’t continue to act but merely watched the other pirates around them with caution.

Seeing Law acting so unreasonable, Drake’s own temper flared up. He wasn’t a pirate, but an undercover for sword, he already felt annoyed looking at these pirates. If Law insisted on a fight, Drake wouldn’t mind, it’d be a perfect chance to showcase his value.

But just as he was about to transform and show the future ”examiner” his ”professional certificate,” he realized Rami had already left, only leaving behind a silhouette, completely ignoring them.

Moreover, from the very beginning, Rami was just on the phone, never once did she look him straight in the eye.

”This isn’t how I imagined... it would be...”

The Hundred Beasts crew left, making any fight meaningless for him. He seldom contacted Navy Headquarters, but not long ago, they sent him a message, urging him not to delay, and especially not to ignite conflict in Shampodi. He should enter the New World soon to seize opportunities.

They didn’t reveal the information over there, but he understood that the Navy might be planning some major actions, hence the attempt to mediate the battle.

Unfortunately, he didn’t have Red Hair’s favor, or perhaps Law, who was already hot-headed, didn’t intend to give him such a concession.

The most calm ones and the peacemakers ended up fighting, not to mention the other pirates. A chaotic battle erupted among the Super Rookies in Shampodi Islands, only the arrival of the Heavenly Celestial Dragon temporarily halted their clashes, leading to them departing in their own directions.

Provoking the Heavenly Celestial Dragon would inevitably bring an Admiral, this wasn’t a secret on The Sea, most were cautious about it, even these Super Rookies alike.

...

”Uncle Tiger, sorry, got caught up earlier, you can continue.”

”Well, as I mentioned, something’s up on Fishman Island, a Mermaid might have trouble.

Olga’s Rotom shut down, and I don’t have her Radio Snail number, can’t contact her.

According to her schedule, she should be meeting up with you soon, perhaps you could ask her for help then.”

The Rotom Phone has shutdown capabilities, unless it’s communication from the highest authority, which means Arceus, only they can forcibly reactivate a shutdown Rotom, others can’t reach a phone when it’s off.

From a worker’s perspective, this design is quite inhumane, but barring extremely unusual circumstances, this privilege hasn’t been utilized, Arceus doesn’t intend to have people wake up for work at 3 a.m.

”Understood, meeting time is still two hours away, I’ll talk to Big Sis Olga then.”

”’Big Sis’ and ’Sister’ don’t mean the same, in the pirate world, calling someone Big Sis signifies a status, while Sister suggests a close bond. Due to Olga’s age and appearance, generational ranks within the Hundred Beasts are always in a mess.”

Pirates generally don’t care about this issue, when the power difference is significant enough, and the two sides have no close personal contact, they tend to call the other ’Big Brother,’ even if the age gap means one could be a grandpa.

...

When Rami returned to the ship, Olga had already arrived at the rendezvous point ahead of time, casually lounging on a rocking chair, as she put it herself, at over two hundred years old, relaxing was quite a reasonable thing.

Unlike other pirates who need to take care of their ships, Olga’s Shadow Fox was docked openly at the commercial pier, yet people around seemed to ignore it, under the influence of the Illusion Realm, this was no longer their perceived dock.

”Big Sis Olga, Sister Iscariot.”

”Back? Heard you played around with those newbies for a while?”

”Bunch of weirdos, hardly any seemed normal.

By the way, Big Sis Olga, Uncle Tiger just sent me a message, mentioned a Mermaid went missing here, hoping you’d help find her. The detailed information has been sent to your phone, you should take a look.”

Rami repeated Tiger’s words and reminded Olga to check her inbox.

”Tiger? Why didn’t he contact me directly?”

Listening to Rami, Olga called Elizabeth over and rummaged through her backpack.

”Your phone was off, he couldn’t reach you...”

”Oh, shut it off back at Hancock’s place, no wonder something felt off lately.”

As Olga’s Rotom Phone booted up again, the Rotom residing inside yawned and greeted her with a sound. When the tool hosting it is off, Rotom sometimes chooses to hibernate, which was why Tiger had been unable to contact Olga.

”Oh, lost along with that starfish? After all these years, how can someone still be so careless? I remember her name is Keimi, right? Her ditzy nature is still unchanged.”

Nowadays, Fishman Island is different from the past, with Tiger and Jinbe’s effective strikes, incidents of disappearances on Fishman Island had nearly ceased.

Utilizing Tiger’s prestige, Fishman Street’s mixed Fishmen formed a special guard team, aside from joining the mining company’s operations, they patrol the security of Fishman Island.

But Fishman Island isn’t a prison, neither Otohime nor Neptune detained all their citizens on the island, whether Mermaid or Fishman, it’s their freedom to venture outside.

Keimi didn’t deliberately head to dangerous places, Fishman Island’s safety education was fairly complete, and New Fishman Island along with Mandfeish’s territory are safe tourist sites, no need to venture into Shampodi for adventure.

But her character is always so scatterbrained, she often gets swallowed by Sea Beasts without notice, coincidentally arriving here as well.

Due to the changes on Fishman Island, the price of Mermaids soared, traffickers seldom encounter mermaids, naturally wouldn’t miss such an opportunity.

Alongside her, Pappag, a truly marvelous starfish, was swallowed too. In its own perception as a human, it unconsciously learned human speech, possessing intelligence not inferior to humans.

Due to involvement in designing outfits for the Arceus Sect, Pappag had Tiger’s contact, indirectly connecting with Olga.

”Big Sis Olga, where should we go to find her?”

”The human auction house, if she’s in trouble, she’d definitely be there.”
