Arceus's Pirate Journey

Chapter 966: Chapter 965: The Rigged Seven Warlords Match

”The ... the encirclement wall was breached by the pirates!!”

The first to come back to their senses were the soldiers inside the encirclement wall. Taking a comprehensive view of the situation wasn’t something these soldiers should do; the enemy before them was what they should confront.

Previously, the Whitebeard Pirates were all blocked outside the encirclement wall, and the Navy inside hadn’t faced the war directly, but their hearts remained tense. Being thrown in by Kaidou with Yamato snapped their already tense nerves.

As elite soldiers recruited from all over the world by the Navy, they didn’t panic, but quickly organized themselves, launching their attack towards Yamato’s position.

”Attack! Don’t let the pirates reach the execution platform!”

Just after climbing out of the pit, Yamato was immediately covered by firepower, which made her already bad mood even worse.

Ever since her appearance in Alabasta, when Robin told her that it would have been better if she hadn’t spoken, Yamato had been researching entrance styles.

Even with the tempting promises of Kaidou, Yamato was prepared to slack off, so she wanted to find a cool yet inconspicuous way to enter, as only this way could she achieve her subsequent goals.

However, Kaidou predicted Yamato’s thoughts. To prevent Yamato from slacking off, he deceived her again, telling Yamato that he had a very classic entrance plan that required her cooperation.

Swayed by Kaidou’s persuasion, Yamato eventually fell for it. If she didn’t cooperate, Kaidou wouldn’t be able to throw her out so lightly.

Yamato considered that this might be a trap, but in the end, she underestimated Kaidou. She thought that no matter how abnormal Kaidou might be, he wouldn’t do something outrageous on the battlefield, which eventually led to this rather painful situation.

And this was exactly Kaidou’s purpose; he didn’t believe that by throwing Yamato into the crowd, she’d still have a chance to slack off.

”Get out of my way!”

Yamato slammed the ground, causing the pit she created to completely collapse, and the shockwave knocked the approaching Navy to the ground.

Even for elite soldiers from all over the world, Yamato’s current opponents were beyond their coping capacity, and higher-ranking officers hadn’t taken action yet. Instead, the Seven Warlords of the Sea, who had been slacking off, started to move.

”Make way for me! Slave Arrow!”

With a delicate touch to her lips, a pink heart-shaped bubble appeared in Hancock’s hand. With a gentle pull from her other hand, the pink bubble transformed into a rain of arrows, shooting towards Yamato.

”The Seven Warlords have made a move!”

”Have they finally moved? Those bastards are really good at enduring....”

The Navy had some dissatisfaction with the Seven Warlords for always slacking off but had no other options. Now that the Whitebeard Pirates were trapped on the ice and hadn’t broken through to the square, it’s reasonable for the Seven Warlords to stand by, planning to handle stronger opponents.

But after the attack, they realized the problem.

Hancock, out of all of them, would have been better off not moving.

Everyone hit by her Slave Arrow turned into stone statues, but since this was the heart of the Navy, the air currents created by Yamato’s swings deflected Hancock’s arrows, leading to all those petrified being from the Navy.

”Pirate Empress! What are you doing?!”

”I am fighting as you requested. It’s the enemy who’s too strong and neutralized my moves. What’s it got to do with me?”

”You!”

”I trust you’ll forgive my friendly fire, right?”

Casually brushing a strand of hair, Hancock didn’t even turn around, while the Navy soldier questioning her had already turned into an enamored fool, agreeing with Hancock’s words.

Hancock then joined Yamato and started her performance, seemingly fighting fiercely but not using any real force.

”Long time no see, Yamato.”

”Ah, it’s Hancock. Your attacks are still so amusing.”

”Amusing... So, did Olga come too?”

”No, she went somewhere else. My useless old man said Olga’s abilities were better suited elsewhere.”

”That’s too bad... Shall we continue? I don’t want to fight for those Navy men either.”

The seven Seven Warlords, with Blackbeard currently seeking suitable subordinates in Impel Down, the remaining six, except for Kuma, who lost his free will, were lazily fighting, seeking suitable places to slack off. Not one of them was fighting hard.

The Navy could summon the Seven Warlords, but couldn’t force them to fight desperately. The performance of the Seven Warlords in the Summit War likely somewhat influenced the cancellation of the Seven Warlords system two years later.

The Blazing Angels who follow orders are much more useful than these ambitious lads.

”Hmm... let’s just throw a couple of punches. It’s hard to fool that old man otherwise.”

Yamato wanted to stall for time. As long as Kaidou started fighting someone else, she could slack off freely.

The waves caused by the two of them made it impossible for the surrounding Navy to approach, forcing them to spread out unaware that the two inside were faking a fight.

”Move aside.”

The Navy soldiers were vigilantly watching the fight between Yamato and Hancock when Jinbe suddenly walked over, pushing away the Navy blocking the front.

”Sea Hero Jinbe...”

”That woman’s a pirate from the Beasts, not easy to handle; I’ll go help out.”

[Brother Tiger, I understand your message now...]

Among the six Seven Warlords present, if one had to pick the most straightforward, Jinbe would even be a contender with the robotic Kuma. Too straightforward, Jinbe was just acting as a display piece.

But Kaidou’s indiscriminate attacks and Hancock’s friendly fire offered him a new idea.

Standing around doing nothing wasn’t practical, but some collateral damage in attacks was inevitable.

Fishman Karate already had many area-of-effect skills. To aid the Navy against the Beasts’ big shots, unintentionally injuring a few Navy wouldn’t be unreasonable. This could somewhat alleviate the pressure on Whitebeard’s people.

”Fishman Karate: Karakusagawara Seiken!”

The blue chubby figure leaped high up, then delivered a punch to the ground. This punch showed Jinbe’s deep mastery of Fishman Karate. The punch’s gust left the two in the center unharmed, but the surrounding Navy was again knocked over by the shockwave.

The nearby section of the encirclement wall was also affected, causing a temporary vacuum in ammo supply from the rear, allowing the pirates outside to find a suitable breakthrough point again.

The fake contest between the two Seven Warlords and Yamato was quite joyful, but at the same time, another Seven Warlord made a move.

Moriah left his original position, heading towards Kaidou’s location, grabbing and cutting the shadows of both Navy and pirates along the way.

For years, Kaidou had been his nightmare. He was awakened by nightmares countless times and fantasized countless times about what it would be like to meet Kaidou again.

But until Kaidou appeared in front of him once more, he realized that his feelings towards Kaidou were not of fear but anger...
