Arceus's Pirate Journey

Chapter 973: Chapter 972: Ice Divine Pillar - Regice, the Headache of the Five Elders

There are many ways for Pokemon to be born, and they are not limited to ordinary life forms. In addition to conventional animals, plants, clouds, air, rocks, steel, elements of nature can all potentially become members of Pokemon.

However, no matter what kind of carrier, the strongest carrier is always the Plate.

Darkrai, back then, due to executing tasks alone for an extended period, even having to face unknown enemies, exhausted the Power of Dark in the Dread Plate.

Regice, on the other hand, is even more special. As a member of the Regi family, they can also be called the Divine Pillar Clan or... hmm, the Toilet Clan.

Unlike previous Phantom Pokemon, and not like those so-called Legendary Pokemon like Arcanine, Regice is truly a Legendary Pokemon.

Due to the uniqueness of the Divine Pillar Clan, they can even use Arceus’s Plate as a core, although this core is temporary and considered a short-term buff enhancement.

Once the matter is settled, Arceus can still take back the Plate.

Outsiders also have the ability to use the Plates, provided that Arceus has agreed. Under appropriate conditions, Arceus can indeed lend out the Plates, as long as the person knows how to return them.

Regice’s numbers are not unique; ice is their body. As very ancient Pokemon, Regice’s body is covered in ice from the glacial era. Some Regice have even been sleeping in underground ice rivers for countless years.

There is no doubt that Regice with the Icicle Plate as a carrier is the strongest Regice. Different geometric shapes gradually condense together, and under the influence of the Icicle Plate, they begin to expand, ultimately resulting in a large Regice standing seventeen meters tall.

”Go ahead, teach them a lesson, then come back to find me.”

”Regi... Ice...”

On Regice’s face, there are seven yellow dots forming a cross, which are their visual organs and also their way of expressing emotions.

The seven yellow dots flicker frequently, and a piercing sound emanates from the pillar.

Subsequently, Regice jumps off the deck, hovering above the sea. Under the influence of the chill around its body, the seawater at its feet freezes completely.

”Turn around, target Marinfanto.”

”Yes!”

...

The Origin turns around to leave, and Regice locks onto its target, slowly drifting towards the ships dispatched from Judicial Island.

”What is that thing? A robot? An ice sculpture?”

”I don’t know, but since it’s from a pirate ship, it definitely isn’t anything good. Continue the attack, start shelling!”

Regice’s target is quite large, and its movements are not fast. The dense shelling explodes upon Regice, but they have no effect. Although its body is made of ice, Regice’s body is incredibly solid.

The impact of the explosions does not affect it; the fragments are also deflected by the smooth ice surface.

The Navy on Judicial Island fails to recognize the danger of the Ice Divine Pillar. Its exterior does not look as threatening as the eight-headed dragon, it even appears a bit comical. However, as Regice gets closer, the cannon fire ceases.

”What’s going on? Keep firing! That guy is almost here!”

”The cannon chambers are frozen...”

The gunners try to pull the cannon, but without any effect. As they attempt to fix the cannons, the ship experiences a violent shake.

Boom!!

A large section is missing from the ship’s deck, while Regice’s hand not far away is still flickering with electrical sparks. It hasn’t used any Ice-Type skills, instead firing an Electromagnetic Cannon.

It believes that a warship like this is not worth dealing with directly, but since Arceus has instructed it to act, there must be a purpose. Hence, it aims to force the ship to retreat to find the mastermind behind it, intentionally firing the Electromagnetic Cannon off-target.

If it wanted to immediately destroy this warship, its most direct approach would be to get close to the opponent and use the cold emanating from its body to finish them off.

It deliberately drifts slowly to accomplish its goal, while the warship ahead, seeing the ineffectiveness of the shelling and Regice getting closer, also chooses to retreat.

On the Origin, Arceus watches Regice pursuing, not worrying about anything.

The retrieved Plate is different from the Plate previously scattered outside. Before, it was like looking for a powered-off phone in a pitch-black room, naturally very difficult.

But after returning, it’s as if the phone has been rebooted; by dialing a number, its location can be quickly identified. The Icicle Plate temporarily left inside Regice is in such a state.

The Triangle Sea Flow has already disappeared, the sailing speed slowed significantly, yet during the Origin’s voyage, some people, staring at the intelligence before them, are feeling frustrated.

...

Holy Land, Mary Geoise, the Five Elders fall into contemplation as they look at the Navy’s report.

They are similarly focused on the Marinfanto battlefield, as this battle has a substantial impact on the future development of the world.

”Kaidou, along with his daughter and some subordinates, have appeared at Marinfanto and even restored Whitebeard’s youth.”

”Didn’t Red Hair previously say he would attempt to stop Kaidou? Is this his way of stopping Kaidou?”

”I’ve said it before, there’s an issue with Red Hair. There must be a special connection between him, Whitebeard, and Kaidou; we just haven’t discovered it yet.”

Tap, tap, tap.

Footsteps are heard from outside, and two communications officers approach the Five Elders.

”Report! Latest news from Judicial Island, they didn’t find any escaped prisoners in the Triangle Sea Flow, but discovered Hundred Beasts’ pirate ship, led by Arceus...”

”Report to the Five Elders, Impel Down has transmitted intelligence; a significant prison break has occurred, including from the sixth level, with movements currently unknown.

Deputy Director Hannibal is seriously injured, Warden Rain’s Shiryu has defected.

Director Magellan is working hard to suppress the damage, specific conditions are pending recalculation.

However, the masterminds behind the prison break have been identified: Straw Hat - Monkey D. Luffy, Blackbeard - Marshall D. Teach, and Clown - Buggy.”

The blonde Five Elder waves his hand to indicate that the messenger can leave.

After their departure, the group resumes the discussion.

”A mass prison break from the sixth level is not good news.”

”First, suppress the news; the escape of these monsters from the sixth level would definitely trigger panic, such recently stabilized circumstances would be ruined easily.

Those fellows with the name D are indeed vexing.”

The bald, sword-bearing Five Elder appears impatient, the long blade held in his hand partially exposed, exuding intense dislike for the so-called Will of D.

”And as for that Clown Buggy, this guy turns out to be a crew member of Roger, and a brother to Red Hair; could his hiding in the East Sea also be part of Red Hair’s plan?”

The Five Elder with the goatee recalls the Roger Pirates. It’s logical for any ship to have flaws, but the intelligence points to Buggy’s actions differing greatly from Roger Pirates’. Without undeniable proof, it’s hard to believe Buggy was an intern with Roger.

”These aren’t important for now, Red Hair doesn’t favor chaos and likely wouldn’t trigger major unrest.

The focus should be on Whitebeard’s restored youth.

If those old folks learn of this technology, who knows what actions they might undertake.

First, send people to investigate; Kaidou, Yamato, Arceus, aside from them, the top cadres of Hundred Beasts are not in Wano Kuni.

This might be the weakest defense Wano Kuni has had in decades; we can try sending in someone covertly, isn’t there a CP0 team nearby?”

Temporarily identified as Saturn, he presents his proposal. The secrets within Wano Kuni have long piqued their curiosity.
