Arceus's Pirate Journey

Chapter 953: Chapter 952: Estranged Siblings

Rami’s appearance has changed significantly since childhood, and when Law first saw Rami in the newspaper, he couldn’t be sure if it was really his sister.

After that, Law went through a long period of preparation and eventually entered the Grand Line. During his voyage, like some others, he became a collector of wanted posters, mainly collecting Rami’s wanted poster.

The people from the Arceus Sect generally act discreetly. Except in very special circumstances, they do not engage in battles and even actively combat pirates. However, in the eyes of the World Government and Navy, they are still seen as a sub-branch of the Hundred Beasts Pirates.

Rami, who often followed Iscariot around Shampodi, eventually made it onto a wanted poster. Although she seldom kills, her ability to effortlessly take down a team of Navy officers makes the uninformed tremble.

She is a walking humanoid biochemical weapon. Were it not for Queen standing in front, Rami might have garnered even more attention.

Law was unaware of this, but through the wanted poster, he discovered some clues. By analyzing the photographs, he deconstructed Rami’s facial features into data and then compared them with his own, finding some similarities.

This doesn’t prove anything, but the overlap in data coupled with the same name gave him more hope.

Encountering Rami on the Shampodi Islands was an unexpected delight.

Shachi and Penguin did not notice that Rami was the woman on the wanted poster that Law looked at every day. The wanted poster featured Rami in casual clothing, but Rami at that moment was wearing a refined nun’s habit.

According to Misu, she was already a qualified nun.

The design of the nun’s habit hasn’t changed much, but the sign of the Thousand Cosmos Bracelet was subtly integrated into the collar and cuffs.

If you look closely, you can see that the metal decorations on the clothes just form a simple Thousand Cosmos Bracelet.

The original designer of the outfit was Misu, but later, a starfish from Fishman Island made some suggestions, ultimately finalizing the new religious attire.

The most significant change was the headscarf, whose wrapping style was derived from ancient Sinnoh Region, similar to the Hisui version of female characters.

After the transformation of her attire, those who weren’t specifically paying attention wouldn’t be able to recognize her. In this world where face-blindness is rampant, it’s already impressive that Penguin and Shachi felt they looked somewhat similar.

[Who are you?]

”I...”

These three words sent a chill through Law’s heart. He was just about to reveal his identity when Rami interrupted, and her words reignited his hope.

”Oh, I remember who you are, the Red Heart Pirates Captain, Trafalgar Law, bounty of two billion Belly.”

The hope that had just been kindled was extinguished again. Rami, with just a few words, put Law through the highs and lows of life. At first unfamiliar, then Law thought she had recognized him, only for it to end with such a title.

She did recognize him, but this manner was not what Law had hoped for. His sister would never address him in this way.

”Phew....”

After taking several deep breaths, Law calmed his excited heart. He had considered many possible scenarios, and this was not the worst.

At this point, it wasn’t 100% certain that Rami was Rami, so Law wasn’t about to lose composure just yet.

”May I disturb you for a few minutes, Miss Rami?”

”Not interested. I have nothing to discuss with you.”

”Please wait, I just want to know about your relationship with Sister Misu...”

Seeing that Rami was about to leave straight away, Law directly mentioned Misu’s name.

At a time when the specific situation of Rami was unknown, this was the only survivor from Freyvans he knew of besides himself.

”Do you know Sister Misu? Were you a child she took care of outside?”

Unlike Rami, although Misu held a higher position in the Arceus Sect, she was not wanted. She mostly participated in secret operations and had very little interaction with the Navy.

Even those from the previous Navy Dojo had little impression of her because of the Seven-Star Sword, and very few people outside knew the name Misu.

She thought that Law had once been a beneficiary of Misu’s grace, and because of the religious attire, recognized that they belonged to the same sect, which was why he stopped her.

”Sort of. I come from Freyvans and used to attend Sister’s lectures.”

Law pronounced ”Freyvans” carefully, observing Rami’s reaction closely.

”Eh? You’re also from Freyvans? That’s great, Sister will surely be delighted to know. She always thought there were no survivors from Freyvans.”

”Then you...”

”Ah? I’m Sister’s adopted daughter. She adopted me outside and gave me a home back then.”

Due to Platinum Lead poisoning, Rami had severe amnesia at the time, unable to recall what had previously occurred.

To prevent Rami from dwelling in grief, Misu fabricated a false background, allowing Rami to start afresh.

Misu was uninterested in pirate information and had never noticed Law’s news, nor had she ever mentioned such things to Rami.

She was even vague about past events, so Rami had no idea when Misu began to believe in the Arceus Sect or noticed the significance of Freyvans from Law’s words.

In Rami’s understanding, she was merely an orphan adopted by Misu.

”Your name? No, I mean, what’s your surname? And don’t you have any siblings, like a brother?”

Rami’s prior words made Law feel something was off, so he didn’t abruptly mention that he might be her brother.

If the Rami in front of him was indeed his sister, then she had clearly lost that part of her memory. Sudden stimulation might have adverse effects, so Law was gently guiding her.

”None, oh, Pirate Sir.

The name Rami was given to me by Sister. You’re a bit strange; if you are interested in Sister, I will convey your greetings to her.

If you have the capability and can pass the review, you’re welcome to join us.”

Recruiting new members for the pirate crew wasn’t something Rami did. Misu helped a lot of people outside, and having that connection didn’t mean you could directly join them.

Gurgling...

The sound of a rumbling belly reached Rami’s ears. Seeing the nearby children drooling, she realized she had lingered too long.

”I have other matters to attend to. If there’s a chance, see you in the New World, Pirate Sir.”

Rami wanted to leave, but Law naturally wouldn’t pass up the hard-earned opportunity to get to the bottom of it. He didn’t believe Misu would specially adopt a girl similar to his sister at that time and give her the same name as his sister.

However, before he could continue questioning, the nearby wall suddenly exploded, and a large number of debris pieces shot towards them....
