Arceus's Pirate Journey

Chapter 961: Chapter 960: Don’t Compete with Me! I’ll Guard the Home!

Whether it was Yamato who went out or Arceus, or Jack who was fighting outside, and the Zou Elephant who was wandering around, they all returned to Ghost Island at this moment.

The high-level officials of Hundred Beasts rarely gathered together, even Olga, who had just left Shampodi not long ago, returned to Ghost Island on Dragonite in advance.

”Fire Fist Ace has been captured and will be publicly executed at Marinfanto. That guy Whitebeard is definitely going to rescue him! The era is about to change again!”

”Why are you excited about the war between the Navy Headquarters and Whitebeard?”

Perhaps Whitebeard’s side is worried, but Kaidou’s face only showed excitement. Even though Arceus knew Kaidou had this kind of personality that loves ’joining in,’ he still couldn’t understand where Kaidou’s excitement came from.

”This is indeed a rare gathering. Although it has nothing to do with us directly, it’s a delightful appetizer before the banquet.

Still, that old guy is the same as ever, jumping into this trap for his so-called family, even knowing it’s a conspiracy.

It seems he is also about to exit the stage.”

Even Kaidou acknowledges Whitebeard’s power, but Sengoku, Garp, and the current Three Great Admirals are all top-tier powerhouses as well. In Kaidou’s eyes, one Whitebeard is not their match.

Whitebeard’s downfall is already a settled matter. After six years, the New World’s Four Emperors arrangement will return to the Triangular Era once again.

”How about it? Isn’t this a rare opportunity? Don’t you want to join me and stir up some chaos? To gather so many top-level powerhouses and fight without any concerns isn’t common at all.”

Kaidou doesn’t see any problem with his idea, and even wants to pull Arceus along for the excitement.

A fight at his level is destructive to the surrounding geography, especially Whitebeard, who can cause supernatural disaster-level havoc.

For Kaidou, the Navy Headquarters is an excellent battlefield, where he doesn’t need to consider anything and can just fight to his heart’s content.

Indeed, he doesn’t want to help Whitebeard, nor the Navy, but purely wants to brawl with those guys.

”Not interested, and how many people do you plan to take?”

”Not many, I told you, this is just an appetizer.”

”Godfather, I have some news. Take a look at this first.”

No one dared interrupt the conversation between Arceus and Kaidou, except Yamato, who stood up at this moment.

”What?”

”Godfather, look, this is the message gathered by the Thousand-Year Dragons earlier. I visited many islands along the way, but none were of value. Father’s Plate Radar didn’t react at all.

The only place left to visit is here.”

Yamato specifically mentioned her work, stating she wasn’t playing but working. She then used Rotom to unfold the Nautical Chart translated by Robin right before Arceus.

”Godfather, look, it’s this place. A Thousand-Year Dragon said it saw the erstwhile ray of light fly into the center of the big vortex. I originally planned to let Corviknight take us there to see it, but father suddenly called me back.”

”This position... it’s quite interesting.”

Looking at the three institutions on the map, Arceus also understood where this special vortex was. The vortex mentioned by the Thousand-Year Dragon is a special ocean current controlled by the World Government.

They built Navy Headquarters, Judicial Island, and the Undersea Prison around this vortex and utilized the currents formed by it to reduce transit time.

If you don’t have the ability to open the Gate of Justice, you’ll be forever trapped in this special current, and all pirates avoid this place respectfully - no one wants to be surrounded by the Navy unexpectedly.

”Just right, they fight their battle, Kaidou, you do whatever you wish, I’ll head to this vortex, there might be something I need there.”

”I see, do you need a lot of manpower?”

”No need, just a few who can lend a hand is enough.”

”Alright, then let’s allocate personnel to other areas first.”

Kaidou’s gaze swept across his numerous high-level officials, having already made his arrangements in his heart.

”Boys! The war is here, Whitebeard wants to save his son, and his territory will be left with few people.

If he dares to go to the Navy Headquarters under such circumstances, he must go all out, and there won’t be many strong subordinates left in his territory.

Once Whitebeard leaves, someone will surely try to take his domain. When the Navy’s news is fully disclosed, these pirates will be like sharks smelling blood, drawn to it, so we need to act first.

Olga, Jack!”

Scanning the circle once, Kaidou ultimately chose the two of them.

”Captain Kaidou.”, ”Big Brother Kaidou.”

”The territory issue is entrusted to you two. Except for the personnel remaining on each island, the idle personnel and any Numberer ranking above two digits will listen to your orders.

Emboar and Tyranitar are also assigned to you.

Use the fastest speed to seize Whitebeard’s territories for me before others react!”

Jack and Olga were appointed by Kaidou to expand the domain, for neither has flying abilities. Should anything unexpected happen, it won’t be easy for them to quickly withdraw from the Navy Headquarters.

Better to let them utilize their capabilities elsewhere; amidst high-level force having no time to spare, Olga and Jack are invincible in the front line.

”Now the issue of defense remains; who should be entrusted with Wano Kuni?”

Originally, casually asking Arceus if he wanted to join in was merely a passing question, knowing Arceus wasn’t interested in it. He intended to leave the main island to him.

Not getting raided is also an essential part of the battle, but since Arceus has made other arrangements, a new guardian is needed.

”Big Brother Kaidou! Let me!”

”Father! Let me!”

The voices of Queen and Yamato rang successively. In terms of home defense, the two unexpectedly started a competition.

”Miss Yamato, you should respect the elderly. I arranged all the security facilities in Wano Kuni; I’m more familiar with the mechanisms and terrain here than you are.”

”Uncle Queen, I think I’m stronger than you. In the past, when godfather and father weren’t here, I was the one guarding the house, right? So, with that said, shouldn’t you show some love to the young?”

Kaidou’s arrangement already tells everything, Olga and Jack are responsible for territorial expansion, which is already a done deal.

So apart from the guarding personnel, the rest either follow Kaidou or Arceus.

Arceus’s power is at the peak, needing only a few assistants. Certainly, he wouldn’t take them; if not responsible for guarding the island, they would be dragged away by Kaidou.

When they reach the chaotic battlefield, heaven knows what will happen; Yamato doesn’t want to fight inexplicably, while Queen is more pragmatic - he doesn’t wish to be pulled out for exploitation.

For his serene future, competing for the position of Defense Commander became his sole option.

”Father! / Big Brother Kaidou! Let Wano Kuni be entrusted to me!”
