The Cheat Emperor of the Culinary World

Gao Wenjing suddenly looked at Dai Li while speaking.

”Xiaoli, your job remains the same, but from now on, you’re responsible for solving all the difficulties and problems the waitstaff encounter in the front hall. You’ll be the team leader in charge of the waitstaff. Yuxuan, Shanshan, any issues you all face in the future, you can go to Dai Li.”

Dai Li’s eyes lit up immediately upon hearing this!

Without a doubt, Dai Li was promoted; she was now the managing team leader of the waitstaff.

The store’s performance and bonuses are based on a commission ratio determined by the amount customers spend, and the percentage for management is higher than for the others.

Now that she has become management, directly responsible for all the waitstaff under her, how could she not be excited?

The two people sitting next to her had different expressions, signaling congratulations with their eyes.

Dai Li, however, noticed that Wang Yuxuan, sitting to her left, raised his eyebrows in surprise but quickly concealed it, then mouthed with a smile: Congratulations!

Gao Wenjing continued with the arrangements: ”As for the order takers, Jiang Mo will be in charge of the takeaway orders from now on. Although Xiaoqing hasn’t worked for long, her performance is outstanding, and she’s already been officially confirmed, so she will continue to follow Jiang Mo.”

Liu Yuqing was dumbfounded!

With such outstanding performance, why was she assigned as Jiang Mo’s assistant instead?

Doesn’t that make her just a gofer?

Gao Wenjing instructed Jiang Mo: ”Jiang Mo, you are responsible for taking orders and communicating with customers, and the delivery tasks will be entrusted to Xiaoqing. Xiaoqing, you will assist Jiang Mo in managing the takeaway section from now on.”

”Additionally, make sure to do a good job with the order statistics. Carefully check the notes on the order forms and ensure quality service work.”

Upon hearing these words, the others looked at Jiang Mo and Liu Yuqing with obviously complex expressions.

The takeaway job, compared to taking orders, is certainly much easier.

It seems like Jiang Mo was the main person in charge, and Liu Yuqing was relegated to being a gofer.

Jiang Mo had worked in the store for a long time, was easy-going, and conscientious in her work, so this was considered a promotion, right?

Liu Yuqing, a newcomer who has been officially confirmed, was the most presentable and poised person in the group, but she was assigned to do errands?

Why is that?

Everyone looked at each other, unable to understand the intention behind the leadership’s arrangement.

This is an attempt by the boss, Dong Jun Tian!

That is to distribute all the work, with specialized personnel for specific tasks.

The ordering area and dining area are managed separately by two group leaders.

The waitstaff and takeaway are also managed by dedicated personnel.

If the front counter staff were responsible for the takeaway, they would have to handle customer orders while also managing payments, making it impossible to manage both.

He separated the takeaway section and assigned it to dedicated personnel, so naturally, they would be more attentive and responsible for customer requirements and service.

Currently, there is a noticeable increase in demand for takeaways, which is what Dong Jun Tian always wanted to develop.

The times are progressing, and dining in and takeaways must advance simultaneously!

This bold move marks a significant management model reform for Qianlima Restaurant!

The biggest change involving personnel transfers this time is with Jiang Mo and Liu Yuqing, who have suddenly become the backbone responsible for the store’s takeaway section.

However, those under leadership don’t understand the foresight and decisions of the management and can’t figure it out either.

So the most concerning issue about their job changes is their compensation after switching roles.

Gao Wenjing, herself a worker, understood the mindset of those below her very well.

After the meeting, she specifically asked those being transferred to stay behind.

She first clearly explained that the salaries for the servers and order-takers would be adjusted according to their new positions.

After sending the others off, she started discussing the salary treatments of Jiang Mo and Liu Yuqing.

”The store plans to develop the takeaway section, and since it’s just starting, the order volume might not change significantly. Operating on commission wouldn’t be fair to you, so for the first half-year, we’ll use a base salary plus bonuses.”

”But you can rest assured that the sales targets for bonuses will definitely be set according to actual situations. Ultimately, the salary you receive won’t be much less compared to now.”

”Because following the store’s commission system, monthly wages also fluctuate, so the boss’s idea is to take an average value to ensure your interests and also encourage your enthusiasm for the new job.”

”Let me now explain to you in detail about the base salary and bonus standards...”

Jiang Mo and Liu Yuqing felt greatly assured.

Upon calculating, in fact, their salaries were about the same as usual, while their workload was significantly reduced.

Currently, the order volume for takeaways at the store is indeed not large, but since the boss intends to develop this area, there will definitely be investments in the future.

Once this section is doing well in the future, both of them will surely have more opportunities for advancement, and more staff will be added under them.

Both immediately felt relief and were quite satisfied with their job transfers.

After Jiang Mo and Liu Yuqing left, only Gao Wenjing and Dai Li were left in the conference room.

Without outsiders present, Gao Wenjing visibly relaxed and gestured for Dai Li to sit next to her.

Gao Wenjing said, ”The new team leader looks young, but she’s actually two years older than me. Although we’re both called team leaders, the positions are different, and so are the ranks. You need to first understand that, from now on, she is the main, and I am the secondary. You are under her as a team leader. I have to manage the ordering area and have no time to guide you, so you need to discern what can be said and what cannot, only using your eyes to observe and learn, don’t cause trouble for me or hold me back.”

Dai Li felt a shiver inside and nodded, ”Okay, don’t worry.”

Gao Wenjing was momentarily surprised to hear her use formal language, then couldn’t help but laugh and said, ”Let’s not use formal language between us; it sounds old-fashioned.”

She sighed, ”To be honest, I have always appreciated you, but I’m not confident about you taking on such a responsibility. If it weren’t for Old Zhao giving me a heads-up in advance, I actually had Yuxuan in mind. But considering Old Zhao, I went along with it, pulling you up, and it’s only right if you do well. If not, I can replace you at any time, so seize this opportunity, understand?”

Dai Li finally understood why Wang Yuxuan seemed surprised for a moment. She was shocked and couldn’t help but widen her eyes at Gao Wenjing.

Gao Wenjing chuckled, ”You didn’t expect me to be so frank with you, did you?”

Dai Li honestly replied, ”I didn’t.”

”Your role is to manage the waitstaff,” Gao Wenjing said. ”On the servers’ side, when the new team leader comes, another team leader will be chosen. The hurried reassignment this time didn’t include Yuxuan, but once the new team leader arrives and observes for a while, there will surely be personnel transfers in the dining area. You might have it tough for some time, but it’s a good opportunity. After all, the new team leader will not be familiar with the people soon after she arrives, and she’ll need someone as an assistant.”

”If you can establish a good relationship with the new team leader, I hope you can help Yuxuan. You two have always been on good terms, and supporting each other will make the work easier.”
