The Cheat Emperor of the Culinary World

Fu Yu went to Qianlima only after graduating from culinary school.

It’s said that he used to attend high school, and altogether, he’s had less than two years of experience with culinary arts.

Yet he’s this impressive!

Thinking about this, Liu Zhangpeng’s attitude towards Fu Yu became increasingly respectful and friendly.

After completing a classic hulu chicken dish, Liu Zhangpeng greatly benefited from it.

Although Fu Yu only pointed out a few minor issues in his routine operations, for Liu Zhangpeng, as long as he paid a little attention in the future, whether in terms of cooking speed or heat control, he would make significant progress.

If before, Liu Zhangpeng thought Fu Yu was outstanding and very much admired him, now he was completely convinced by Fu Yu’s exquisite culinary skills.

While instructing Liu Zhangpeng in cooking techniques, Fu Yu also gained insight.

For example, adding a bit of salt when mashing garlic not only infuses flavor but also prevents slipping.

For instance, when marinating chicken, adding rice wine can remove the gamey taste, and the ratio of rice wine has a certain standard.

Also, when boiling clear soup, putting the whole chicken directly into cold water makes the chicken taste more tender and refreshing.

When Fu Yu arranged the finished classic hulu chicken on the plate, he suddenly received a system notification sound:

[Ding! NPC Chef Yao Shi’s long-term task: Excelling in the culinary industry and developing well in this field. Progress (four): Gather the strengths of many and integrate the thoughts of many. Task progress +1, received task reward: skill point +1]

Fu Yu: ”!”

It turns out that this long-term task also has progress requirements?

For each progress point completed, you get the corresponding reward!

Alright then.

Although the rewards are a bit few, it’s a long-term task.

Just not sure how many progress points there are in total.

Moreover, there’s something else that makes Fu Yu very happy.

This task allows him to gain insight while helping others.

This gives him a sense of satisfaction from having his actions rewarded.

Fu Yu pondered, for this task of gathering the strengths of many and integrating the thoughts of many to earn rewards, perhaps it requires helping others while gaining understanding himself.

Mutual benefit, with the premise of expanding his social circle.

Only by knowing more people can one have the chance to learn from their skills.

...

As the end of the year approached, the restaurant’s customer flow increased significantly.

The busy season arrived, and the restaurant began hiring for various positions again.

In a service industry like this, turnover is always high.

Especially for front-house staff and order clerks, there are departures almost every month, but training newcomers one by one is impossible.

It’s usually led by experienced staff first, and then a formal training session is conducted once there are enough people.

This way, it doesn’t affect the restaurant’s normal work order.

After a few days of work, new staff members have somewhat familiarized themselves with the restaurant’s environment and situation.

Once they undergo training, they can adapt more quickly.

The new round of employee training was scheduled for Monday morning.

Whether waiters, runners, or order clerks, to perform their duties well, they must clearly understand all the restaurant’s dishes.

From ingredients, plating, and flavor choices to pricing standards, they must know them by heart.

Especially runners, they need to be able to answer customer queries instantly.

Those most familiar with the restaurant’s dishes are certainly the chefs in the kitchen.

Zhao Meng and Gu Yunwu, two highly skilled individuals, surely had no time to help train front-house staff.

So Fu Yu and Yao Yihang took on the responsibility of introducing the restaurant’s dishes to new personnel during these two training days.

This time, the new hires included 5 waiters, 3 runners, and 2 order clerks.

Among them was Liu Yuqing, who had been on the job for over a month.

All the trainees arrived early and waited in the conference room.

Zhao Meng had the morning shift today.

Once everything was prepared, Fu Yu greeted Zhao Meng and then headed to the conference room.

This morning’s training was focused on the restaurant’s signature dishes, mainly stir-fried and braised dishes.

The training was scheduled to start at nine, and when Fu Yu arrived with the cookbook, everyone was already there.

Among the new staff, except for a waiter who had just reported yesterday, everyone had met Fu Yu.

After all, they worked in the same restaurant and would often see each other while taking and serving dishes.

Even if Fu Yu was usually very busy and had no chance to speak.

But... handsome people always leave a good impression!

So everyone present had a very good impression of Fu Yu.

At the moment, Fu Yu had taken off the light green floral apron and was just wearing a clean, brand-new chef’s uniform, holding a cookbook as he gracefully walked into the conference room.

The girls attending the training immediately became excited, whispering to each other.

”Oh my! Chef Fu is so handsome!”

”Didn’t seem this handsome in the kitchen before, right?”

”Lighting issue, it’s hard to see clearly with all the smoke and heat in the kitchen?”

Everyone chimed in agreement.

Liu Yuqing sat in the front, listening to the discussions around her, and couldn’t help but focus on Fu Yu.

Although she often saw him, she had to admit that he was indeed very handsome.

Those who were familiar with Fu Yu greeted him with a smile: ”Chef Fu, what are we learning today?”

Fu Yu sat in the main seat, placed the cookbook on the table, and smiled slightly: ”Today I’ll introduce you to our restaurant’s specialty dishes.”

An outgoing waitress joked: ”Since it’s a class, Chef Fu, shouldn’t we also be a bit formal?”

Fu Yu raised an eyebrow: ”Oh? How do you want to make it formal?”

The waitress chuckled: ”Maybe start with a self-introduction or something, like age, dating history...”

As soon as the other girls heard this, they burst into laughter and egged on: ”Yes! Chef Fu, why don’t you start with a self-introduction!”

Oh! Being teased?!

Fu Yu immediately perked up.

Flipping open the cookbook, Fu Yu smiled: ”You all just want it to be a bit more formal, right?”

Several girls looked at him expectantly, nodding in unison: ”Yes!”

Fu Yu nodded and kindly said: ”Alright then, let’s make it formal. In the future, remember to call me Teacher Fu when you come for training!”

Everyone was first stunned, then burst into laughter.

”Well... okay, let’s stop joking.” Fu Yu clapped his hands: ”Everyone quiet down, let’s start today’s training...”

”First of all, we need to figure out what the restaurant’s best-selling dishes are.”

”What ingredients are used in cooking, and what are the specific flavor characteristics!”

”Let’s start by familiarizing ourselves with the restaurant’s specialty dishes from these two aspects...”

Fu Yu is handsome, skilled in cooking, and unpretentious.

The class atmosphere was very relaxed and harmonious.
