The Cheat Emperor of the Culinary World

Because the roast duck is in the oven, and the temperature is very high, you need to wear special gloves and use a pole to take the duck out when operating.

Fu Yu was just about to get the gloves when he suddenly noticed that the roasting master, who was just helping to open the oven door, had already put on gloves and picked up the pole.

This made Fu Yu pause.

How was he supposed to speak up now?

Taking the duck out is not exactly a delicate task, and he really couldn’t compete with the roasting master for it.

Moreover, the roasting master was already prepared and ready to go.

Fu Yu frowned slightly.

If the roasting master steps in, can he still continue to receive the rewards for learning?

After all, based on his understanding of the system, as long as it involves tasks and rewards, he must complete the entire process independently.

He’s never had someone step in to help halfway through.

Thinking about this, Fu Yu looked at the roasting master, showing a look of frustration and helplessness.

The roasting master, who always had an eye for things, noticed Fu Yu staring blankly at the pole in his hand, with an expression and gaze full of eager anticipation and... I’m awesome?

The roasting master twitched his lips.

Is taking out a roast duck considered a special skill?

Looking at Fu Yu’s eyes filled with longing, he felt even more hesitant.

Should he step aside and give the opportunity to this young master with an evidently unusual background?

Thinking of this, the roasting master handed the pole and gloves over: ”Why don’t you...”

Fu Yu was a bit surprised, then smiled slightly, took them, and said while putting on the gloves: ”Sure, no need to be polite, I’ll do it.”

No, no need to be polite?

The roasting master was stunned!

Did I say you should thank me?

Yao Shi urged: ”Quickly take out the duck, it’s about ready.”

Then, he said to the roasting master: ”It’s okay, let Xiaofu handle it.”

The roasting master nodded, anyone can take it out!

It’s just... why do I feel a bit wronged and not entirely willing?

So strange...

Fu Yu quickly stepped forward and took the roast duck out of the oven.

Yao Shi didn’t forget to advise: ”To determine whether the duck is cooked, besides mastering the heat, time, and the color of the duck skin, you can also observe the soup inside the duck. When the soup poured out is pink, it indicates the duck is 70-80% cooked; if it’s pale white with some oil, it indicates the duck is 90-100% cooked. If the soup is milky white, with more oil and less broth, it indicates the duck is overcooked.”

Fu Yu nodded, taking it in.

Yao Shi then brushed a layer of fragrant oil on the roast duck to increase the shine of the skin, remove soot, and enhance the aroma.

Once everything was handled, the roast duck could be sliced and plated.

Yao Shi nodded with satisfaction and praised: ”Not bad, very well done.”

The roasting master quickly echoed: ”Indeed, not bad.”

As he spoke, he turned to look at Yao Shi, only to see his boss suddenly silent.

The roasting master was puzzled: ”Boss?”

Yao Shi suddenly snapped out of it, stared at the roast duck in front of him.

Weird!

After he finished speaking, he suddenly felt like he forgot something.

What did he forget?

He just brought Fu Yu to the roasting area, picked out a roast duck, everything was fine!

Yao Shi looked at the concerned expression of the roasting master and waved his hand with a smile: ”Oh, nothing.”

Then he instructed: ”Pack this selected roast duck, and let Fu Yu take it later.”

The roasting master: ”!”

Selected roast duck?

Wasn’t it just roasted?

The roasting master thought to himself, nodded: ”Okay, boss.”

At the same time, Fu Yu’s ears rang with an electronic notification sound:

[Ding! You have completed Yao Shi’s personal skill roasting course, and received the reward: personal skill roasting advanced]

[Ding! Personal skill experience is full, reward received: task experience +666]

[Ding! Task experience is at max level, would you like to upgrade?]

Fu Yu quickly chose to upgrade.

[Ding! Task experience at max points, your level is upgraded to lv6, gaining one skill point.]

Fu Yu grinned as he received the rewards, taking the packed roast duck from the roasting master.

Hehehe!

Leveled up again!

Yao Shi, frowning in thought about what he had forgotten earlier, saw Fu Yu holding onto the roast duck with joy and couldn’t help but smile slightly.

This kid!

Ah, to be young!

A roast duck can make him this happy!

Shaking his head, Yao Shi pushed the unsolvable matter to the back of his mind. If he forgot, it surely wasn’t important.

Fu Yu, who came up with the excuse of providing on-site service this time, knew it was about time.

Yao Shi invited Fu Yu to have a meal at the music restaurant and even offered to drive him back to Qianlima.

Fu Yu quickly refused: ”No need, Chef Yao, I’ll just take a taxi back.”

Yao Shi, however, smiled and said: ”I have to go back too.”

Forty minutes later.

The car stopped at Qianlima Side Street.

Yao Shi took out his phone and transferred 2000 yuan to Fu Yu.

Seeing the alert, Fu Yu quickly declined: ”Chef Yao, this is too much.”

Yao Shi just smiled: ”Today wasn’t just a side gig, it was the music restaurant inviting you for a service. With your current status, on-site service is worth this amount! Take it, you deserve it.”

Fu Yu felt warm inside, even knowing Yao Shi’s generous nature, he was still moved.

Moreover, the affirmation in Yao Shi’s words made him feel greatly encouraged.

Fu Yu, carrying the roast duck, returned to Qianlima with a spring in his step.

Upon entering the side door, he didn’t head straight to the back kitchen but jogged to his dorm to put the roast duck away first.

With many mouths to feed and little meat, plus it being from the music restaurant, being seen by outsiders wouldn’t be easy to explain.

After leaving the dorm, Fu Yu went to the locker room to change into his work clothes before heading to the back kitchen.

On the way, he ran into Jiang Mo, who was coming over to hand in some order slips.

The video of the salt and pepper shrimp modification that Zhao Meng posted in the work group had already been circulated.

As Fu Yu’s number one fan, Jiang Mo watched the video from start to finish as soon as she received it, without missing a second.

Seeing Fu Yu at this moment, Jiang Mo couldn’t help but glance a few more times.

Chef Fu is really handsome!

Perfect in looks and skills!

With exquisite culinary skills.

And a handsome, captivating appearance.

Such a person is simply too outstanding, too perfect, too great!

Thinking of this, Jiang Mo took out her phone, ready to add Fu Yu as a friend to exchange more often, which couldn’t hurt.

At this time, Fu Yu looked up and saw Jiang Mo, greeting proactively: ”Delivering slips again? Let me take them for you.”

Jiang Mo looked at Fu Yu with starry eyes.

Chef Fu is so gentle...

She then subconsciously handed over the order slips.

Fu Yu took them, nodded towards Jiang Mo, and walked... walked... away.
