The Cheat Emperor of the Culinary World

After leaving the Wang Family, the music restaurant’s dedicated car first sent Fu Yu back to Qianlima.

Fu Yu specifically had the car stop at the corner of a side street, then he went to a supermarket to buy some daily necessities. He put the bottle of wine in a black plastic bag and carried it together in the shopping bag.

He planned to give the wine to Zhao Meng.

Zhao Meng usually had no hobbies; he didn’t play cards or hang out aimlessly, he just liked to smoke a bit and drink a bit.

He wasn’t addicted to drinking, he just liked to try good wines.

This bottle of wine given by Wang Nuannuan was also sold at Qianlima, bought for over five hundred, sold at 888 in the store.

Such expensive wine, Fu Yu would definitely be reluctant to buy it himself, but since he got it for free, he thought about letting Zhao Meng enjoy it.

However, since he accepted the gift privately, he still needed to inform Yao Shi about it.

After all, Tian Lei was also present at the time, and this matter couldn’t be hidden.

As he carried the stuff back to the dormitory, Fu Yu called Yao Shi.

He told the story truthfully.

Yao Shi praised him a few times and tacitly approved of him accepting the wine.

When providing in-home services, such situations were quite common.

As long as it wasn’t money, if customers were willing to give food or drinks, they naturally accepted them with the flow.

After hanging up the phone, Yao Shi thought to himself that Fu Yu was indeed quite trustworthy, even reporting such matters to him.

Fu Yu brought the wine back and gave it to Zhao Meng.

Zhao Meng was quite happy too.

Holding the wine box, he felt a certain sense of comfort and satisfaction.

Fu Yu had just left when Zhao Meng called Yao Shi.

Over there at the music restaurant, Fu Yu had greatly benefited from Yao Shi’s care.

The apprentice was young and didn’t understand the ways of the world, so the master had to think more.

Zhao Meng laughed over the phone and said, ”Chef Yao, after the Mid-Autumn Festival, find an evening when you’re free, and let’s have a drink?”

Yao Shi joked, ”Oh? Want to invite me for a drink? I’ll tell you this, without good wine, you can’t get me to go!”

Zhao Meng chuckled, ”There will definitely be wine, and good wine at that! How about our store’s ’Fa Fa Fa’?”

After saying that, there was suddenly no sound from Yao Shi’s side.

Zhao Meng thought it was a bad connection, waited a bit, and said into the receiver: ”Hello? Hello, hello?”

Then Yao Shi burst out laughing, ”This wine is the one Fu Yu gave you, right?”

Zhao Meng was stunned, then laughed too, ”You knew about this?”

Yao Shi laughed, ”He just called me specifically to report this matter.”

After saying this, he couldn’t help but sigh, ”So he was trying to honor you with it, that kid! Really...”

Upon hearing this, Zhao Meng laughed too, ”Now that there’s wine, as long as I’m on the early shift, I can come anytime.”

Yao Shi replied, ”Alright, when I have time, I’ll book a place.”

After hanging up the phone, Yao Shi couldn’t help but feel a bit envious of Zhao Meng.

The eyes of Old Zhao were sharp.

He never took on apprentices before, and the first time he did, he ended up with such a righteous and filial successor!

It was indeed something to be envious of!

On the first day of Qianlima’s promotion of festival gift distribution, the activity was a great success.

So, Dong Jun Tian directed a few managers in the store that this activity should simply continue until the Mid-Autumn Festival.

When the store sent people out to promote it yesterday, Dong Jun Tian was standing in front of the large office windows watching.

There was a seemingly competitive and comparative atmosphere between Zhao Meng’s people and Gu Yunwu’s people.

Each group studied ways to promote and attract people, showing a certain spirit of research and progress.

Dong Jun Tian was quite satisfied seeing this.

Having a competitive spirit is great!

To be honest, Dong Jun Tian really didn’t want to see either side of the kitchen staff truly stand out alone.

The tallest trees in the forest are always the first to be blown down by the wind.

But if there could be several big trees growing together in the same forest, the situation would obviously be much better.

This was also why Dong Jun Tian was keen on training more staff in the kitchen to work on the stove.

Because of the extra work of distributing small gifts to draw customers to place orders, the day after Fu Yu returned to work, Zhao Meng sent him out again.

It was unavoidable.

The kitchen had only a few people, and it was only Fu Yu who looked spirited, while the others varied in height and shape. If they weren’t dressed in a chef’s uniform and sitting in front of their own store, passersby wouldn’t even glance at them.

But if you looked handsome, it was different.

Even while sitting there in a chef’s uniform, passersby inadvertently glanced more, possibly getting interested enough to learn about the activity. And if they suddenly got excited, that order would be made!

As for whether this conclusion held true?

Who knows.

Anyway, Sun Qingning felt he had taken a one-million-point critical hit!

Beautiful young ladies came by to inquire about the event.

He was there speaking passionately until his mouth went dry.

Yet the young lady was multitasking, listening to him while stealing glances at Fu Yu.

Once she had looked enough and listened enough, those with money would go to the store, place a deposit, and listen to the handsome guy say thank you with a smile.

Those without money would hold up a phone, either asking for WeChat, a phone number, or at the very least, a small gift personally distributed by the handsome guy.

Sun Qingning, relegated to a background role as a repeater, was utterly exhausted!

Finally, it was ten o’clock, and everyone headed back.

Fu Yu, on the other hand, was quite happy.

Usually cooped up in the kitchen, he could only see the delivery and ordering staff in the store.

Sitting outside, he saw all kinds of young ladies, which was pleasing to the eye, not to mention engaging in the occasional chat.

Not having to work and still earning money, he wished this activity could last until the end of the year!

Back in the kitchen, work began to get busy again.

Since Fu Yu had to go outside to distribute gifts, Zhao Meng took over his original job of marinating side dishes.

Fu Yu just had to wait for the order slip to come over and start cooking as usual.

And for some reason, Fu Yu felt that Zhao Meng seemed particularly amiable today.

Zhao Meng’s tone was gentle when talking to him.

Suspicious, Fu Yu couldn’t help but look Zhao Meng over a few more times.

Until he unintentionally saw Dai Li come over to deliver dishes and warmly greet Zhao Meng.

It suddenly dawned on Fu Yu!

His Chef Zhao was probably in high spirits due to a pleasant event?

No wonder!

For an old tree to bloom, it’s indeed not easy!

So, in the evening when Fu Yu called home, he couldn’t help but mention it.

His dad was fine with it, smiling and saying it was a good thing; that Zhao Meng was kind and warm-hearted, and should have someone by his side who understands and cares for him.

His mom, on the other hand, thought further, considering Zhao Meng’s age. If he indeed had such thoughts, the matter should be settled soon.

Fu Yu thought about it and agreed.

With Zhao Meng’s decisive personality, if he truly fancied her, once Dai Li nodded, they might soon have a mistress of the house.

Thinking about this, Fu Yu couldn’t sleep half the night, lying in bed with his thoughts running wild, wondering how much he should gift as his direct disciple if Zhao Meng got married.

And what if they had a child in the future?

Rolling around, unable to sleep, he tossed and turned until dawn, finally drifting into a groggy slumber.
