The Cheat Emperor of the Culinary World

It was heard that Fu Yu completed the roast duck slicing operation.

The other people in the kitchen couldn’t help but crowd over to watch.

A set of three plates of sliced roast duck.

The skin and meat matched perfectly in terms of fat and lean, the slices were uniform in length, thickness, and number. Although not carefully counted, it looked like there were at least about 100 slices.

This was already quite impressive!

Everyone was dumbfounded, including Zhang Zhen.

Was this slicing really done by Yao Shi?

Zhang Zhen looked at Fu Yu with a hint of complex emotion.

This kid, he has improved again!

And the progress is simply amazing!

Zhang Zhen found it hard to believe how this young man, just in his early twenties, had developed such exquisite slicing skills.

He had already been shocked several times before.

This time, it directly refreshed his understanding!

It was simply astonishing, incredibly unbelievable!

In comparison to Zhang Zhen, the other chefs and head cooks didn’t even know how to describe their feelings at the moment.

Looking at the perfectly sliced duck meat in front of them, an indescribable sense of defeat welled up in their hearts.

No wonder the boss specially invited Fu Yu back from outside to work part-time, and after taking the position, he started cooking directly on the stove within a few days.

Turns out, they brought back a master!

With prior practice, there was no worry at all about the upcoming live performance...

After all, when an expert makes a move, you can tell immediately.

The roast duck was sliced so perfectly, what else was there to worry about?

Yao Shi felt at ease inside, in a good mood, he waved his hand and announced: ”You can keep this roast duck for yourselves, it’s just out of the oven, perfect for tasting while it’s hot.”

Fu Yu had long been drooling over this plate of roast duck. Hearing this, he waited only until Zhang Zhen and the other chefs reached for it, then quickly grabbed a couple of slices to taste.

Indeed, the skin was crispy, the meat was tender, and the flavor was rich, fatty but not greasy.

Even without any seasonings, it was very delicious to eat directly.

The meat was scarce with so many mouths.

The three plates of sliced roast duck were devoured in no time.

Fu Yu smacked his lips, not quite satisfied, the roast duck was truly fragrant!

Yao Shi looked at Fu Yu more gently and asked with a smile: ”How is it? Is the roast duck here delicious?”

Fu Yu nodded: ”Delicious, especially fragrant!”

Yao Shi chuckled: ”Well then, as long as you complete the service successfully later, I will give you a roast duck.”

Fu Yu was delighted: ”Alright! Chef Yao, don’t worry, I will definitely do my best!”

Eleven thirty in the morning.

Room 308.

Yao Shi received the news and specially went over to greet his friend.

”Dongchen, you’re here! Welcome!!”

Yao Shi stepped forward to hug his good friend Yin Dongchen.

Yin Dongchen smiled and introduced the seated customers: ”This is my buddy Yao Shi, the owner of the Music Restaurant.”

Then he introduced his customers to Yao Shi.

After greeting each other, Yao Shi warmly entertained them: ”Since you are Dongchen’s guests, we will certainly entertain you well. Rest assured, we will be serving the signature dishes of our restaurant. In a while, I’ll bring the most excellent chef in the restaurant to perform a live demonstration of slicing roast duck for you.”

The customers listened and felt very taken care of.

However, Yin Dongchen was taken aback, looking at Yao Shi in surprise.

Yao Shi seized the opportunity to show his injured finger to Yin Dongchen.

Yin Dongchen suddenly understood, he didn’t show it on his face, but his heart was clenched.

What kind of luck is this!

He specifically invited the customers to the Music Restaurant today because the most important one of them was a gourmet, hoping Yao Shi would showcase his skills to impress them.

After a satisfying meal, the contract negotiations would be easier.

But Yao Shi injured his hand!

So who would cook the dishes?

Although knowing Yao Shi was always reliable, this sudden situation was unexpected, and now that the guests were seated, it was too late to say anything more.

Yin Dongchen kept a smile on his face but couldn’t help worrying inside.

They must make sure this meal goes well!

At such a critical moment, they must not falter.

The Music Restaurant is always known for its excellent service.

As Yin Dongchen’s group took their seats, drinks were served first, and just exchanged a few pleasantries, then a service cart specifically for the live roast duck show was pushed in by the staff.

Yin Dongchen quickly craned his neck to look.

A waiter led the way, another pushed the cart, followed by a tall, handsome young chef.

Upon seeing the person clearly, Yin Dongchen’s smile slightly changed.

This must be a joke!

They said they would send the best chef in the restaurant, but then they sent a young chef in his early twenties?

However, the person was already there, and there was no other option at the moment.

Yin Dongchen had to brace himself and smiled at the customers, saying: ”The roast duck here is particularly delicious, authentic in flavor, and the chef’s slicing skills are excellent. It’s said that the quality of the roast duck depends seventy percent on the roasting and thirty percent on the slicing, whether the slicing is good or not all depends on the chef’s skill!”

The other customers nodded in agreement, and the middle-aged man at the head of the table smiled and said: ”Right, Boss Yin, from what you’re saying, you’re an expert too?”

Yin Dongchen quickly waved his hand: ”I can’t compare myself to President Jiang, I’m just a foodie, while you can be considered a professional.”

President Jiang is known amongst his circle as a gourmet and an old foodie.

Hearing Yin Dongchen’s words, President Jiang smiled and quickly focused his attention on the roast duck placed on the cart.

The roast duck indeed looked nice.

It had a bright red color, and the duck was quite plump.

Fu Yu stood firm and began slicing the duck.

After all, roasting involves a specific processing time, and the slicing should not exceed 7 minutes.

Although Yao Shi casually mentioned it, Fu Yu felt it necessary to follow through.

After all, Yao Shi promised him, if he could satisfy the customers, he would receive a roast duck.

Perhaps every excellent chef has a gourmand gene in their bones.

Anyway, Fu Yu was determined to win this!

Fu Yu placed the heated whole roast duck flat on the board and used a small fork and knife to cut off the duck head first.

The server then brought a bowl of red marinade to the dining table.

Everyone leaned forward to have a look.

Those who didn’t know better saw this bowl of dark red marinade and felt it wasn’t too bad.

While the knowledgeable President Jiang stretched his chopsticks to pick up a small piece of marinated meat and tasted it.

Seeing this, someone jokingly teased, ”Old Jiang, didn’t you have a good breakfast? Getting hungry now?”

President Jiang savored the taste in his mouth carefully before showing a satisfied look.

He then smiled and said: ”You all don’t understand! The roast duck is all about being crispy-skinned, tender, fatty but not greasy. But true connoisseurs are very particular about that complimentary bowl of red marinade!”
